Beyth Qorintiym (2nd Corinthians) 11:2 For I am jealous over you with a righteous jealousy: for I have espoused you to ONE HUSBAND, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Mashiyach (Messiah).
One of the most difficult things to convey to people, is that Elohiym is a Spirit, and that he manifests as both the Father and the Son at the same time. Oftentimes, people struggle to wrap their brain around this concept, because they are trying to compare our infinite Creator, to finite human beings.
YaHuWaH is not limited by time and space, as we are, and because he is a Ruwach (Spirit), he is “Omnipresent,” which means he is “Everywhere at once!”
When trying to describe the essence and nature of our Creator, there is often terminology confusion, as many conflate the word “person,” with “manifestations.”
Debariym (Deuteronomy) 22:30 A man shall not take his father’s wife, nor discover his father’s skirt.
Debariym (Deuteronomy) 27:20 Cursed be he that lies with his father’s wife; because he uncovers his father’s skirt. And all the people shall say, Awmane.
This is the same sin that Reuben committed when he slept with Jacob’s concubine (Genesis 49:4). This is also what the adulterer did in 1st Corinthians 5:1, when he committed adultery with his father’s wife!
Now, even though YaHuWaH divorced ten out of twelve tribes in Jeremiah 3:8, he also promised to marry them again in the future, which would seem to be a violation of Deuteronomy 24:1-4.
Debariym (Deuteronomy) 24:1 When a man has taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he has found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
Debariym (Deuteronomy) 24:2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man’s wife.
Debariym (Deuteronomy) 24:3 And if the latter husband hates her, and writes her a bill of divorcement, and gives it in her hand, and sends her out of his house; or if the latter husband dies, which took her to be his wife;
Debariym (Deuteronomy) 24:4 Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before YHWH: and you shall not cause the land to sin, which YHWH your Elohiym gives you for an inheritance.
As you can see, once the first husband divorces his wife legally with a written decree, (and then she marries another), she may never return to her first husband!
And that is exactly what happened with the Ten Northern Tribes of Yisra’el. They married their false deities, called Baalim, which is plural for “husbands or masters.”
In this end-time prophecy, Yah says that Yisra’el will return to her “first husband,” which implies that there was a second husband! But how is it possible for her to return to her first husband, without violating Deuteronomy 24:1-4?
Howshea (Hosea) 2:7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.
There is a caveat, which made it possible for YaHuWaH to marry his divorced wife again. The only way that he could marry her again, is if he put on human flesh, came to earth, and then died on her behalf!
This means that “The law of divorce” in Deuteronomy 24 would then be made “null and void!”
This is what the Apostle Shaul (Paul) meant, when he uses the phrase “curse of the law!”
Galatians 3:13 Messiah has redeemed us from the curse of the Towrah (law), being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree:
The curse of Deuteronomy 24:1-4 (which prevented Yisra’el from returning to her first husband) would be “blotted out,” according to Colossians 2:14, and this would make it possible for the “The Lost Sheep of the Ten Northern Tribes” to return to their FIRST HUSBAND!
Yirmeyahuw (Jeremiah) 3:7 And I said after she had done all these things, Turn you unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Yahuwdah (Judah) saw it.
Yirmeyahuw (Jeremiah) 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Yisra’el committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Yahuwdah (Judah) feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
Yirmeyahuw (Jeremiah) 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, says YHWH; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Tziyown (Zion).
Even though the Kingdom of Yahuwdah (Judah) deserved to be divorced also, YaHuWaH did not divorce them, because this is the tribe through which our Messiah would later be born into. Therefore, he had to leave a remnant, so that there would not fail to be a king on the throne in Yisra’el. Genesis 49:10 promises that “The scepter shall not depart from Yahuwdah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes....”
In Jeremiah 31:31-33, Yah promised to make a Renewed Covenant with both Houses of Yisra’el in the future:
Yirmeyahuw (Jeremiah) 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was a husband unto them, says YHWH:
Yirmeyahuw (Jeremiah) 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Yisra’el; After those days, says YHWH, I will put my Towrah (law) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their Elohiym, and they shall be my people.
You will notice that the only difference between the covenant made at Mount Sinai, and the one that our Messiah came to renew, is that the latter covenant, would be “Written not in stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart,” (Ezekiel 26:36, 2nd Corinthians 3:3).
You see, even though YaHuWaH divorced Yisra’el in Jeremiah 3:8, he promised to remarry her! And that is exactly what he did the night before he died, thus renewing his marriage covenant with his one and only wife, Yisra’el:
Mattithyahuw (Matthew) 26:28 For this is my blood of the Renewed Covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Mark 14:24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the Renewed Covenant, which is shed for many.
But why would the FATHER send his SON to marry Yisra’el, when this is a clear violation of the Towrah?
The reason why YaHuWaH came in the form of “THE SON,” is to take the place of “THE FIRST-BORN SON” (Yisra’el), and to die in their place!
In Exodus 4:22, YaHuWaH said: Yisra’el is MY FIRST-BORN SON!
In Jeremiah 31:9, YaHuWaH said “I AM A FATHER TO YISRA’EL!”
In Isaiah 54:5, YaHuWaH said “For your Maker is your HUSBAND; YHWH of hosts is his name; and your Redeemer the Holy One of Yisra’el; The Elohiym of the whole earth shall he be called.”
How is YaHuWaH a Father to Yisra’el, and also a Husband to Yisra’el?
Is YaHuWaH married to his SON?
Is he committing homosexuality & incest?
Of course not!
YaHuWaH uses METAPHORS to describe all the ROLES & FUNCTIONS he plays in our lives!
See my blog: One Actor Playing Two Different Roles
In Jeremiah 3:8, YaHuWaH divorced ten out of twelve tribes of Yisra’el, but he did not divorce the Kingdom of Judah (although they were more treacherous).
He did not divorce the Kingdom of Yahuwdah (Judah), because he had to allow a remnant to survive, so that our Messiah could be born into the Tribe of Yahuwdah (Judah).
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 49:10 says “The Scepter shall not depart from Yahuwdah (Judah), nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes.”
In Hosea chapter 2:19-20, YaHuWaH promised to remarry Yisra’el:
Howshea 2:19 And I WILL BETROTH YOU UNTO ME FOREVER; yea, I WILL BETROTH YOU UNTO ME in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
Howshea 2:20 I WILL EVEN BETROTH YOU UNTO ME in faithfulness: and YOU SHALL KNOW YaHuWaH.
Yirmeyahuw (Jeremiah) 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, says YaHuWaH; for I AM MARRIED UNTO YOU: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Tziyown (Zion).
In Isaiah 54, YaHuWaH tells Yisra’el that though they were cast out as a divorced woman (forsaken), and a widow (because they killed their own Messiah), he will gather them again to himself:
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 54:5 For YOUR MAKER IS YOUR HUSBAND; YaHuWaH of hosts is his name; and your Redeemer the Holy One of Yisra’el; The Elohiym of the whole earth shall he be called.
In Isaiah 62:4, YaHuWaH tells the nation of Yisra’el, that he will marry them again:
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 62:4 You shall no more be termed FORSAKEN; neither shall your land anymore be termed DESOLATE: but YOU SHALL BE CALLED HEPHZIBAH, [MY DELIGHT] and YOUR LAND BEULAH [MARRIED]: for YaHuWaH delights in you, and YOUR LAND SHALL BE MARRIED.
You will notice that he did not say “I WILL SEND MY SON TO MARRY YOU!”
In Deuteronomy 24:1-4, if a man legally divorces his wife (due to her uncleanness), he may never take her back!
Therefore, YaHuWaH can never take Yisra’el back again, according to his own Towrah!
And yet, the prophets foretold that he would take Yisra’el back!
How is this possible? How could YaHuWaH take Yisra’el back again once he divorced her in Jeremiah 3:8?
Romans chapter 7 provides us with the answer!
Romiym (Romans) 7:1 Know you not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the Towrah,) how that the Towrah (law) has dominion over a man as long as he lives?
Romiym (Romans) 7:2 For the woman which has a husband is bound by the Towrah (law) to her husband so long as he lives; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the Towrah (law) of her husband.
*Explanation: The Towrah of her husband is Deuteronomy 24:1-4.
Romans 7:3 So then if, while her husband lives, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, SHE IS FREE FROM THAT LAW [Towrah]; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
*Explanation: When the husband dies, Yisra’el is free from the LAW OF DEUTERONOMY 24:4!
In other words, she is free to REMARRY HIM! Shaul (Paul) was not saying that we are free to disobey the rest of the Towrah!
Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, you also are become dead to the Towrah [of Deuteronomy 24:4] by the body of Mashiyach (Messiah); THAT YOU SHOULD BE MARRIED TO ANOTHER, EVEN TO HIM WHO IS RAISED FROM THE DEAD, that we should bring forth fruit unto Elohiym.
*Explanation: The Greek word for “another” is “heteros,” which means “altered.”
YaHuWaH came to remarry Yisra’el in an ALTERED FORM!
Whereas, when YaHuWaH married Yisra’el on Mount Sinai, he was a Ruwach/Spirit, who married them while they were in their FINITE/MORTAL form.
Therefore, he came to earth to remarry Yisra’el in the form of a FINITE HUMAN, to be compatible with us!
And then what did he do?
He died to his FINITE HUMAN BODY, (allowing the sins of the world to be placed upon his own body), thereby destroying the power of sin once-and-for-all!
And when he resurrected, he put on an IMMORTAL, INCORRUPTIBLE BODY, so that we too, (who are his bride) will one day, put on the SAME FORM, so that we will be compatible with him!
This explains why Yahuwshuwa described the Father as the HUSBAND, and himself as THE VINE.
Yahuwchanon (John) 15:1
I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
When Yahuwshuwa was on earth (as a finite, mortal human), he pointed us to the Father in heaven, because he was here to “role-play” in front of us, what it looks like to be an obedient son.
However, when he returns at his second coming, he is coming back in the role of the Father, who is also the original bridegroom!
Mattithyahuw (Matthew) 9:15
And Yahuwshuwa said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
Mattithyahuw (Matthew) 25:1
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
Mattithyahuw (Matthew) 25:5
While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
Mattithyahuw (Matthew) 25:6
And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him.
Mattithyahuw (Matthew) 25:10
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Mark 2:19
And Yahuwshuwa said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
Mark 2:20
But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
Luke 5:34
And he said unto them, Can you make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
Luke 5:35
But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
Yahuwchanon (John) 3:29
He that has the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
Chazown (Revelation) 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for THE MARRIAGE OF LAMB IS COME, and HIS WIFE HAS MADE HERSELF READY.
Thus, we can see from the entire counsel of Scripture, that there cannot be two bridegrooms for Yisra’el. It’s obvious that the Father came to earth, and manifested in the form of a mortal human being:
1st Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of righteousness: Elohiym was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Ruwach (Spirit), seen of malakiym (angels), preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
He calls this visible manifestation of himself, “The Son,” because he created humanity in his own image and likeness (Genesis 1:27).
This explains why our Messiah is described as “The image of the invisible Father,” because the Father has never been seen by any man:
Yahuwchanon (John) 1:18 No man has seen Elohiym at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.
Yahuwchanon (John) 6:46 Not that any man has seen the Father, save he which is of Elohiym, he has seen the Father.
Colossians 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible Elohiym, the firstborn of every creature:
To those who still doubt that the Father and the Son are the same being, see the following passages of Scripture:
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 9:6 For unto us a child is born, UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, THE MIGHTY EL, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, The Prince of Peace.
Abriym (Hebrews) 7:3 ....WITHOUT FATHER, WITHOUT MOTHER, without descent, HAVING NEITHER BEGINNING OF DAYS, NOR END OF LIFE; but MADE LIKE unto THE SON OF ELOHIYM; abides a priest continually.
*Explanation: The above verse is describing the eternal High Priest, Malkiy-Tzedeq (Melchizdek) who is also the Everlasting Father in Isaiah 9:6. We are being shown that the Father made a human body for himself (the Son), and came to earth to die in the place of his beloved Yisra’el.
To learn more, see my other blog: Who is Melchizedek?
Abriym (Hebrews) 10:5 Wherefore when he comes into the world, he says, Sacrifice and offering you would not, but a body have you prepared me:
Yahuwchanon (John) 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that YOU SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS: for IF YOU BELIEVE NOT THAT I AM [he], YOU SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS.
*Note: The word “he” in the above verse is italicized in the King James Version, because it was added by the English translators. Therefore, our Messiah was telling us that he is the same “I AM” who met with Moses at the burning bush in Exodus 3:14-15!
In the Greek Septuagint translation of Exodus 3:14-15, “I AM” is rendered as “Ego Eimi,” which are the same words used John 8:24. Yahuwshuwa further solidified this in John 8:58, by telling us that he existed before Moses.
Yahuwchanon (John) 8:58 Yahuwshuwa said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS, I AM.
Our Messiah Declared That He is the Visible Manifestation of the Father:
Yahuwchanon (John) 10:30 I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE.
Yahuwchanon (John) 10:38 But if I do, though you believe not me, believe the works: that you may know, and believe, that THE FATHER IS IN ME, AND I AM IN THE FATHER.
Yahuwchanon (John) 14:7 If you had known me, YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN MY FATHER also: and from henceforth YOU KNOW HIM, AND HAVE SEEN HIM.
Yahuwchanon (John) 14:9 Yahuwshuwa said unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known me, Philip? HE THAT HAS SEEN ME HAS SEEN THE FATHER; and how say you then, Show us the Father?
Yahuwchanon (John) 15:24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: BUT NOW HAVE THEY BOTH SEEN AND HATED ME AND MY FATHER.
Yahuwchanon (John) 14:10 Believe you not that I AM IN THE FATHER, AND THE FATHER IN ME? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but THE FATHER THAT DWELLS IN ME, HE DOES THE WORKS.
Yahuwchanon (John) 14:11 Believe me that I AM IN THE FATHER, AND THE FATHER IN ME: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
Zakaryahuw (Zechariah) 12:10 .......And they shall look upon ME [Aleph & Taw] את WHOM THEY HAVE PIERCED, AND THEY SHALL MOURN FOR HIM, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Who is Called the First & the Last, the Beginning & the Ending?
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 41:4 Who has wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I YaHuWaH, THE FIRST AND [Aleph & Taw] THE LAST, I AM HE.
*Note: In the above verse, the King James Version added the words “and with,” but in Hebrew, it shows Hebrew Strong’s #854, which is the Aleph & Taw, the first and last letters of the Hebrew Alphabet, a prophetic symbol of Messiah!
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 44:6 Thus says YaHuWaH, The King of Yisra’el, and his redeemer YaHuWaH of hosts; I AM THE FIRST, AND I AM THE LAST; and beside me there is no Elohiym.
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 48:12 Hearken unto me, O Ya’aqob (Jacob) and Yisra’el, my called; I AM HE; I AM THE FIRST, I ALSO AM THE LAST.
The same one in Isaiah, who calls himself “The First & the Last, the Beginning & the Ending” is also the same one in the Book of Revelation!
Chazown (Revelation) 1:11 Saying, I AM Aleph & Taw (Alpha and Omega), THE FIRST AND THE LAST....
Chazown (Revelation) 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I AM THE FIRST AND THE LAST.
Chazown (Revelation) 22:13 I AM Aleph & Taw (Alpha and Omega), THE BEGINNING AND THE END, THE FIRST AND THE LAST.
The same one who was pierced in Zechariah 12:10, is the same one who is returning to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem!
Zekaryahuw (Zechariah) 12:10 .......And they shall look upon ME [Aleph & Taw] את WHOM THEY HAVE PIERCED, AND THEY SHALL MOURN FOR HIM, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
*Note: In the above passage, the English translators added the word “me,” but in Hebrew, it shows Hebrew Strong’s #854, which is the Aleph & Taw, the first and last letters of the Hebrew Alphabet, a prophetic symbol of Messiah!
Chazown (Revelation) 1:7 Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and THEY ALSO WHICH PIERCED HIM: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Awmane.
Chazown (Revelation) 1:8 I AM Aleph & Taw (Alpha and Omega), THE BEGINNING AND THE ENDING, says YaHuWaH, WHICH IS, AND WHICH WAS, AND WHICH IS TO COME THE ALMIGHTY.
*Note: There are three different Greek words used in the New Testament for the title “Lord.” Whenever the word for Lord is “kurios,” the meaning is the name of our Creator!
The Devil Tempted Him
Some people try and make the claim that our Messiah cannot be Elohiym, because the devil tempted him in the wilderness. They rationalize this because of what it says in James 1:13 “Elohiym cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man.”
Matthew 4:1 says that our Messiah was “Led of the Spirit to be tempted of the devil.”
But wait a minute! I thought that Elohiym does not tempt people? Why then did the Spirit of Elohiym (the Holy Spirit) lead our Messiah to be tempted of the devil in the wilderness? Do you see a contradiction here? Or are we misunderstanding something?
It is important to understand what else the book of James says regarding temptation:
Ya’aqob (James) 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Do you see? It is the devil who does the tempting, not our Elohiym! But if we give into temptation, it is because of the lust of the flesh, which we have failed to crucify.
So when our Messiah was led by the Spirit of Elohiym into the wilderness, it was the devil doing the tempting. Yah knew that our Messiah would overcome the temptations of the devil on our behalf, because he cannot be tempted with evil!
Therefore, in Hebrews 4:15, we read:
Abriym (Hebrews) 4:15 For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; BUT WAS IN ALL POINTS TEMPTED LIKE AS WE ARE, YET WITHOUT SIN.
In other words, it is because he was fully Elohiym, that he could not be overcome with temptation from the devil, because he was born without a sinful nature. To read Ron Wyatt’s testimony about our Messiah’s sinless blood found on Ark of the Covenant, see my blog: They Shall Look Upon “ME” Whom They Have Pierced!
We Must Worship Only One Elohiym
When our Messiah was being tempted in the wilderness by the devil, he made it abundantly clear, that only Elohiym is to be worshiped, and no other:
Mattithyahuw (Matthew) 4:10 Then said Yahuwshuwa unto him, Get you hence, Satan: for it is written, YOU SHALL WORSHIP
YaHuWaH your Elohiym, AND HIM ONLY SHALL YOU SERVE.
Luke 4:8 And Yahuwshuwa answered and said unto him, Get you behind me, Satan: for it is written, YOU SHALL WORSHIP
YaHuWaH your Elohiym, AND HIM ONLY SHALL YOU SERVE.
From the above verses, it would seem that there is another glaring contradiction; because if we are only allowed to worship one Elohiym, why then did our Messiah allow people to worship him?
At least twelve times in the Briyth Chadashah (New Testament), various people worshiped our Messiah, and he did not rebuke them, nor prevent them. In Matthew 2:11, the wise men worshiped him, presenting him with gifts of myrrh, frankincense and gold. In Matthew 8:2, a leper worshipped him, as he begged to be healed. In Matthew 9:18, a certain ruler, worshipped him.
In John 20:28, the Apostle Thomas, who originally doubted that he had been resurrected, worshiped him after placing his finger into his side, and he exclaimed: “My YaHuWaH, and My Elohiym!”
The Greek word for “Lord,” in John 20:28 is “kurios,” which literally means “The name of the supreme Elohiym!” The Aramaic Peshitta uses this phrase in John 20:28: “Mari w’Elahi,” which means “My Adonay and my Elohiym!”
Here are all the places where our Messiah received worship from others: Matthew 14:33, Matthew 15:25, Matthew 28:9, Matthew 28:17, Mark 5:6, Luke 24:52, John 9:38, Acts 10:25 & Revelation 5:14.
In Hebrews 1:6, Elohiym commands the malakiym (angels) in heaven to worship his Son: “And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says, ‘Let all the malakiym (angels) of Elohiym worship him’”
This quotation comes from Deuteronomy 32:43 (in the Greek Septuagint), where the recipient of the angels’ worship is YaHuWaH. Thus, in Hebrews 1:6, the author of Hebrews calls upon the malakiym (angels) to offer unto the Son the worship that belongs to YaHuWaH!
Debariym (Deuteronomy) 32:43 Rejoice, you heavens, with him, and let all the malakiym (angels) of Elohiym worship him; rejoice you Gentiles, with his people, and let all the sons of Elohiym strengthen themselves in him; for he will avenge the blood of his sons, and he will render vengeance, and recompense justice to his enemies, and will reward them that hate him; and YaHuWaH shall purge the land of his people.
There is no getting around these passages of Scripture, because our Messiah made it abundantly clear, that he is the Father himself manifested in human form!
But some of you might argue John 14:28, where Yahuwshuwa declared: “My Father is greater than I.”
To understand why he spoke these words, and what he meant, see my other blog: The Meaning of John 14:28 “My Father is Greater than I.”
An Analogy of the Invisible Father Putting on a Visible Image
In the year 2,000, I watched a film entitled “Hollow Man,” starring Kevin Bacon & Elizabeth Shue. I often use this film as an analogy, to explain how the invisible Father is made visible through his visible image, which he calls “His only begotten Son.”
There is only one place in the entire Bible where the word “person” (singular) is used to describe our INVISIBLE Elohiym, and that is in Hebrews 1:3.
Speaking of our Messiah, the writer of Hebrews says the following:
“Who being, the brightness of his glory, and the EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON (singular), and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of Majesty on high….”
The word “PERSON” in this passage is the Greek word “hupostasis” which means “ESSENCE, SUBSTANCE, BEING, PERSON.”
This tells us that Elohiym is only ONE ESSENCE, ONE SUBSTANCE, ONE BEING, ONE PERSON.
You will find no place in Scripture where YaHuWaH is described as TWO or THREE SEPARATE PERSONS.
The term “EXPRESS IMAGE” means “AN EXACT COPY” or “FACSIMILE.”
It does not mean that the FATHER & SON are twins, as in two separate copies of the same being.
Otherwise, “The Shema” in Deuteronomy 6:4 would declare that YaHuWaH is “TWO” and not “ONE” (echad).
*Note: The Hebrew word “echad” means the following:
ONE, ONLY, ALONE, UNITED, ALTOGETHER.
The full scope of this word denotes that YaHuWaH is BOTH FATHER & SON, UNITED!
And yet, he is still only ONE BEING--- ALTOGETHER & ALONE.
This would explain why his name “YaHuWaH” means “THE SELF-EXISTENT ONE!”
For the SON to be an “EXACT COPY,” means that everything that the Father is (in his invisible form), is expressed FULLY in a TANGIBLE, and VISIBLE FORM for us to see and behold with our eyes.
Colossians 2:9 For in him dwells all the FULLNESS OF ELOHIYM BODILY.
In this movie, Kevin Bacon is the chief scientist on a project where they are experimenting on a serum that makes people invisible. Kevin Bacon offers to become the “Guinea Pig” by taking the serum, and then he becomes invisible.
The only problem is, they cannot find the antidote to make him visible again.
In order to make him visible, Kevin Bacon lays down on the operating table, as the other scientists pour liquid latex paint all over him.
The liquid latex conforms to his invisible image, making him into a visible image of what his invisible form looks like.
In this analogy, the Heavenly Father is like the invisible Kevin Bacon, and the Son is like the liquid latex paint.
The liquid latex paint (when poured onto his invisible form) reveals his true form in a visible and tangible way.
Some people might call this “Modalism.”
However, in the Modalist doctrine, only the Messiah, Yahuwshuwa (Jesus) is considered a “person,” but the Father and the Ruwach ha’Qodesh (Holy Spirit) are not considered “persons.”
This logic is flawed, because Modalism is using the dictionary definition for “person” which means “The bodily image of a human being.”
This is why the Modalist view does not consider the Father or the Ruwach/Spirit as a “person.”
However, if we use the biblical definition for “person” (hupostasis), it is not limited to the bodily image of a human being.
The biblical definition for “hupostasis” (person) means “a being, a substance or an essence.”
In Job 38:28-30, YaHuWaH is described as one who has given birth to “the rain and the dew,” and “out of the womb” came the ice (the solid form of H20).
The Doctrine of the Trinity versus the Truth of Scripture
We know from the entire counsel of Scripture, that the Father is invisible, and has never been seen. Therefore, the only visible image we will ever see on the throne in heaven is the image of the Son (see Revelation 4:2-3). We will never see three bodily images on the throne in heaven!

Terminology Confusion
The Roman Catholic Trinity doctrine claims that there is only “One God,” expressed in three separate and distinct persons. But this is a contradiction in terms. YaHuWaH is one person, (one substance), taking on a visible form (which is the Son). The Holy Spirit, is the same as the invisible Spirit of the Father.
The error of the Trinity doctrine claims that the Father, Son & Holy Spirit are three separate persons. This would be the same thing as declaring that water, ice and steam are three separate substances, even though we know they are not. In all three forms, H20 remains the same substance on the Periodic Table.
Take a look at the graphic below. You will notice that the water is only one substance, whether it is flowing out of a spigot, or if it is contained inside of a glass.
The glass is the vessel that is holding the water. Our Messiah is like the glass (a human vessel) through which the Father (the water) has chosen to manifest himself in the earth. As a matter of fact, the name of our Creator, “YaHuWaH” means “The self-existent one!”
Debariym (Deuteronomy) 6:4 Hear, O Yisra’el, YaHuWaH our Elohiym is ONE YaHuWaH.
I very much appreciate this post. I am going to study it more. The three states of water all being different, but all being water spurs me to think about light and how it can explain how YaHuWaH can show in different forms, states and be properties of the same thing. Light made into substance is the Son of Man. individually, in each of us made in His image, this is observable at conception as a bright spark and has been recorded. Light as a wave of particles is light, the observable and invisible.
