End-Time Events Patterned after Ancient Hebrew Wedding Customs & The Prophetic Feasts

By Maria Merola
© Copyright Double Portion Inheritance, September 2002-2022

This illustration is a reenactment of an Ancient Hebrew Wedding. The canopy in which the bride is “taken,” away to the home of the bridegrooms father is called an “aperion.”

Traditionally, there were seven men who were in charge of escorting the bride. Four of them were at each corner of the canopy. This is a reminder of the four malakiym (angels) who are assigned to gather the elect (the bride) from the four winds with a great sound a trumpet:

Mattityahuw (Matthew) 24:31 And he shall send his malakiym (angels) with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

One of the seven men preceded the escort with the blowing of a shofar (trumpet). This is indicative of the Feast of Trumpets. These seven men escorted the bride to the groom’s father’s house, where he had prepared a honeymoon suite for the two of them (John 14:2-3). To learn more, see these links:

The bride being carried to the bridegroom on the aperion is is very similar to the priests in the book of Joshua who carried the ark of the covenant seven times around the walls of Jericho, as they blew trumpets. No doubt, this probably took place on the Feast of Trumpets.

Yahuwshuwa (Joshua) 6:4 And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams horns: and the seventh day you shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.

What follows is a chronological timeline of how end-time events will unfold, based on Scripture.

#1.) The Abomination of Desolation: This will be seen in the Jerusalem Temple (Daniel 8:11; 12:11; Matthew 24:15-21; Revelation 11:1-2). The “Great Tribulation,” will begin the moment that we “SEE” the Abomination of Desolation stand in the holy place. This will kick-off the 1,260-day ministry (3.5 years) of the “The Two Witnesses.”

The beast will concurrently have a false ministry that lasts for 42 months (Revelation 13:5). The ministry of “The Two Witnesses” is patterned after our Messiah’s 3.5 years of ministry (see Luke 4:25).

Yahuwshuwa was seen at the Mount of Transfiguration with both Mosheh & Eliyahuw/Elijah (Matthew 17:3-4), thus, the Corporate Two Witnesses, also operate in the anointing of Mosheh & Eliyahuw/Elijah (Revelation 11:6).

Eliyahuw (Elijah) also had a ministry that lasted for 3.5 years (Luke 4:25; James 5:17), at the end of which, he raised up the widows son from the dead after praying for him three times. This is symbolic of our Messiah’s three days and three nights in the heart of the earth (Matthew 12:40).

#2.) The Resurrection of the Two Witnesses:

The ministry of the Two Witnesses will last for 1,260 days (3.5 years), at the end of which, they will be killed by the beast, and then raised up after three days, just like our Messiah.

This is when “The last trumpet” will be sounded (1st Corinthians 15:51-53; Revelation 11:15); This will be on the Feast of Trumpets in the seventh month, when the seventh malak (angel) sounds the shofar.

This is when the Two Witnesses are TAKEN UP [HARPAZO] TO HEAVEN as the corporate “man-child,” or the resurrected “one new man” (Ephesians 2:15).

Chazown (Revelation) 11:12 And they heard a great voice FROM HEAVEN saying unto them, COME UP HERE. And they ASCENDED UP TO HEAVEN in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

Chazown (Revelation) 12:5 And she brought forth a MAN-CHILD [ONE NEW MAN], who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and HER CHILD WAS CAUGHT UP unto Elohiym, and TO HIS THRONE

The bride will not be going back to Mount Sinai, in Arabia. In Galatians 4:22-26 Shaul (Paul) likens Mount Sinai to Hagar & bondage, because Yisra’el sinned with the golden calf there.

But the free woman (Sarah) is likened to the heavenly Jerusalem (which is above). Therefore the bride is TAKEN to Mount Tziyown (Zion) in the heavenly Jerusalem:

Abriym (Hebrews) 12:22 But you are come unto Mount Tziyown (Zion), and unto the city of the living Elohiym, the HEAVENLY Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), and to an innumerable company of malakiym (angels).

Chazown (Revelation) 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on Mount Tziyown (Zion), and with him a hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.

#3.) A Seven-Day Honeymoon in the Heavenly Chuppah:

The wedding of our Messiah and his bride will follow the pattern of the wedding between Jacob & Leah.

This only lasts for one literal week (Genesis 29:27-28). This is when the bride that typifies Leah and the wise virgins, will be “CAUGHT UP,” and changed into immortality (incorruption).

The five foolish virgins (who are not ready), are caught off guard by “The thief in the night,” and “They shall not escape” with the bridegroom (1st Thessalonians 5:2-3).

However, the five wise virgins are ready to go into the marriage, and the door will be shut! (See Matthew 25:10 & Revelation 3:7-8).

*Explanation: The bride that typifies Leah, the five wise virgins, and Philadelphia, also symbolize the Ten Northern Tribes of Ephrayim (Yisra’el). These shall be “Taken up to heaven,” to the bridegroom’s Father’s house, where he has prepared a chuppah/honeymoon suite for her (John 14:2-3).

She will be “Taken up to heaven,” for a seven-day honeymoon, just like Jacob & Leah (Genesis 29:27-28). Samson’s wedding also lasted for seven days (Judges 14:12).

A traditional Hebrew Wedding lasts for seven literal days, as the bride and groom elope “In Secret,” and “At Midnight,” (when everyone is asleep). See Matthew 25:6.

In 1st Corinthians 15:51, we are told that this event is “A Mystery,” aka “A Secret!”

Qorintiym Aleph (1st Corinthians) 15:51 Behold, I show you a MYSTERY/SECRET; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.

Explanation: The Greek word for “mystery,” in the above passage is “musterion,” which means “a secret.”

Tehilliym (Psalm) 81:7 You called in trouble (tribulation), and I delivered you; I answered you in THE SECRET PLACE of thunder: I proved you at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

Tehilliym (Psalm) 91:1 He that dwells in THE SECRET PLACE of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Shir ha’Shiriym (Song of Solomon) 2:14 O my dove, that are in the clefts of the rock, in THE SECRET PLACES of the stairs, let me see your countenance, let me hear your voice; for sweet is your voice, and your countenance is comely.

#4.) The Return of the bride & groom on Yom Kippur:

After the “Ten Days of Awe,Yahuwshuwa will come back to earth, with his bride (who is also his army), see Revelation 19:7-8 & 14; Ezekiel 37:10-11.

At this time, Yahuwshuwa will also marry the ones who typify Rachel, Smyrna, and the five foolish virgins who purchased the oil of his name (see Song of Solomon 1:3; Matthew 25:9).

The ones who typify Rachel are The Two Southern Tribes of Yahuwdah (Judah), as they will finally recognize the one whom they have pierced as their Messiah, and they will mourn for him (see Zechariah 12:10; Matthew 24:30; Revelation 1:7).

In this prophetic pattern, Laban (symbolic of the Father), said to Jacob, “Finish the week with Leah, and I will give you Rachel also.”

Therefore, Jacob was also married to Rachel (who typifies the Two Southern Tribes of Benjamin & Judah). At the end of the “week,” (after seven days with Leah), he also married Rachel, and spent an additional seven days with her.

Thus, Jacob’s two weddings with Leah & Rachel lasted for a total of 14 days (during Trumpets, Atonement & Tabernacles), inside of 14 years!

1.) Feast of Trumpets - Typifies Jacob’s seven-day honeymoon with Leah.

2.) Day of Atonement - Messiah reveals himself to the Kingdom of Judah & Messiah’s war against the beast with his bride as his army.

3.) The Feast of Tabernacles - Both brides (typified as Leah & Rachel) are made “one stick,” and they celebrate “The Marriage Supper of the Lamb for yet, another seven days.

On Yom Kippur, (Day of Atonement), is when the House of Yahuwdah (Judah) discovers if their names are written in the book of life. Yom Kippur has been prophetically nick-named “face-to-face.” This will be the same day that Rachel (symbolic of the House of Judah) will finally see their Messiah face-to-face at the Mount of Olives.

This is when the bridegroom removes the veil from the bride’s face, (2nd Corinthians 3:16), and they are finally united.

The inhabitants of Yerushalahiym (Jerusalem) in the Kingdom of Yahuwdah (Judah) will finally “Look upon the one whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him as one mourns for his only son” (Zechariah 12:10).

This is when the bride that typifies Rachel, Judah, and the five foolish virgins (who purchased the oil of his name) will also be married to Yahuwshuwa!

These are the remnant of the inhabitants of Jerusalem who did not take the Mark of the Beast, but they missed the harpazo on the Feast of Trumpets.

They will be married on Yom Kippur at the Second Coming of Messiah, when “Every eye shall see him” (Revelation 1:7).

The Two Witnesses are the “The Two Olive Trees & Two Candlesticks” (Revelation 11:4). This means “Both Houses of Yisra’el & The Two Overcoming Assemblies” (Smyrna & Philadelphia).

The name “Smyrna” means “Strengthened for myrrh.” The name of Rachel’s maid (Bilhah), means “trouble, tribulation,” and Smyrna must “Suffer tribulation for ten days” (Revelation 2:10).

The name “Zilpah” (Leah’s maid) means “Dripping with myrrh!” This means that she has oil of myrrh in her lamp, like the five wise virgins!

The Congregation of Philadelphia represents Zilpah, the gentile companion of Leah!

Interestingly, Philadelphia is commended for “Not denying the name of our Messiah (Revelation 3:8). Song of Solomon 1:3 likens the bridegroom’s name to “Oil that is poured forth!”

Hence, the wise virgins love our Messiah, and they know him by name!

During these Ten Days of Awe aka Ten Days of Tribulation, Smyrna will be like the five foolish virgins, who must go and buy oil for their lamps (Matthew 25:9).

Therefore, they are strengthened during these “Ten days of Awe.” It is because they will finally anoint themselves with myrrh (like Esther), who prepared herself to meet the bridegroom in Esther 2:12).

Smyrna, Rachel & Bilhah both represent the redeemed foolish virgins who will meet the bridegroom on Yom Kippur at the Mount of Olives.

These four groups are as follows:

“Two Olive Trees & Two Lampstands,” is how the “Two Witnesses” are described in Revelation 11:4.

These four groups are symbolic of Leah & Rachel, the two wives of Jacob, and their two handmaidens are Zilpah & Bilhah.

These four mothers make up the “The Whole Houses of Yisra’el.

The two overcoming assemblies (Smyrna & Philadelphia) are the ones who “Came out of the harlot,” and they have been “Grafted into the Two Olive Trees,” which are the Two Houses of Yisra’el.

Yechezqel (Ezekiel) 37:4-14 says that the ARMY, the WHOLE HOUSE OF YISRA’EL will be “Taken up out of their graves,” and will be given incorruptible, immortal bodies.

Yechezqel (Ezekiel) 37:16-19 tells us this is when the stick/tree of Judah, & the stick/tree of Joseph/Ephrayim, will be joined into “one stick,” or “one new man” (Ephesians 2:12-15, Revelation 12:4-5).

These “Two Witnesses” are a corporate group from Yahuwdiym (Jews) & Goyim (Gentiles) who “Follow the Lamb wherever he goes.”

In other words, these make up the entire body of believers from the “Stick” or the “Tree” of Joseph/Ephrayim & Yahwudah/Judah (Ezekiel 37:16-17).

The Two Menorahs (candlesticks) represent the corporate body of gentile companions who are grafted into the Two Houses. These are, Smyrna & Philadelphia.

They shall be “taken” (caught up) at the seventh trumpet, and when the seventh malak (angel) sounds in Revelation 11:15.

This is the first bride (typified in Leah), who is taken up to the wedding chuppah in heaven on the Feast of Trumpets.

This first-born bride will be gone from the earth for seven days, inside the Ten Days of Awe or Ten Days of Tribulation (see Revelation 2:10).

Another pattern can be seen with Noahs family who were “taken” inside the ark for “seven days” before the wrath came in the form of rain (Genesis 7:4-10).

At the end of these Ten Days of Tribulation, the first-born bride of Messiah will return with him as his ARMY, “Clothed in fine linen, white and clean” (see Revelation 19:14; Ezekiel 37:10-11).

To those who would argue Deuteronomy 24:5, the bride and groom will be fighting together, therefore, he will not be leaving her alone (while he endangers his life at war), as described in Deuteronomy 24:5.

Both, Messiah, and his bride will have put on IMMORTALITY, therefore, there is no risk of either of them dying in battle, as there is with mortals.

The bride will put on INCORRUPTION, therefore, she will be indestructible, as ONE NEW MAN!

Also, pay attention to these verses:

Yechezqel (Ezekiel) 37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, AN EXCEEDING GREAT ARMY.

Yechezqel (Ezekiel) 37:11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, THESE BONES ARE THE WHOLE HOUSE OF YISRAEL: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

The entire chapter of Proverbs 31 is describing the ideal wife, which is the Bride of Messiah:

Mishley (Proverbs) 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

The Hebrew word for “virtuous” is “chayil” which means “AN ARMY!”

Bereshiyth (Genesis) 2:18 And YHWH Elohiym said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

The Hebrew word for “help meet” is “neged” which means “A MILITARY FRONT!”

There is also a root word “nagiyd,” which means “A commander, occupying a military front.”

#4.) The Ten Days of Awe:

There are ten days from the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah) until the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). The first three of those ten days is when the Two Witnesses have their dead bodies lying in the streets (Revelation 2:8); after which, they are caught up (resurrected), and taken up to the throne in heaven (Revelation 11:11-12 & Revelation 12:5).

#5.) The Day of Wrath on Yom Kippur:

Both brides, aka Both Houses of Yisra’el, (along with their gentile companions) will be joined as ONE BRIDE aka ONE STICK on Yom Kippur. The House of Yahuwdah (Judah) will finally meet their Messiah face-to-face at the Mount of Olives on this day (Zechariah 12:10).

Meanwhile, the wicked people will be destroyed, and their bodies will become food for the birds of prey (Revelation 19:18-21).

After “The Ten Days of Awe,” the first-born bride (Leah and her companions) will return to earth with Messiah, riding on white horses. Yahuwshuwa will take “vengeance” on the enemies of his bride (Revelation 19:2) on this day, because “The Day of Atonement,” is prophetically known as “The Day of Vengeance” (Isaiah 34:8, 61:2, 63:4, Jeremiah 46:10, Luke 21:22).

The children of wrath will have bowls of wrath poured out upon them, but they still won’t repent (Revelation 14-20).

#6.) The Marriage Supper of the Lamb on the Feast of Tabernacles:

These two groups who typify Leah & Rachel, Philadelphia & Smyrna (wise and foolish virgins) shall no longer be two, but one bride, and they will go into “The Marriage Supper of the Lamb,” under the chuppah (sukkah) for seven more days, during the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot).

This is the wedding celebration, where the groom drinks the 4th Passover cup called “The cup of the covenant” with his bride.

This is the same 4th cup that is used at the Passover Seder, for he said that he would not drink of it, until he drinks it anew in the Messianic Kingdom.

Messiah said the night before his crucifixion “I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until I drink it with you anew in my Father’s kingdom” (Matthew 26:29).

#7.) The Bride’s Works Tried by Fire:

After the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, the elect/bride are judged for their works. The righteous will receive rewards as to whether their works were made of “wood, hay or stubble” (1st Corinthians 3:12; Revelation 20:4-6).

The bride will also be given the title of “kings & priests” (Revelation 1:6; 5:10; 1st Peter 2:9).

#8.) The 1,290 days, and 1,335 days leading up to Chanukkah:

The ministry of the Two Witnesses will begin the tribulation period of 1,260 days. This will begin on the first of Abib (the same date as John the Baptist’s birthday) and will end on Yom Teruah.

There are exactly 180 days (6 months) between the 1st of Abib (John’s birth) and the Feast of Trumpets, when our Messiah was born.

There will be 30 more days (after the resurrection of the Two Witnesses on the Feast of Trumpets), during which there is a war taking place (between our Messiah the beast). The Abomination of Desolation will continue to pollute the Temple, but our Messiah will cleanse the earth with purifying fire, thus destroying everything that is unclean:

2nd Peter 3:10 But the Day of YHWH will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2nd Peter 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of Elohiym, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

These additional 30 days will take us to the 1,290 days, wherein the Abomination continues to pollute the Temple:

Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

However, after the war between Messiah the beast, the restoration of all things will begin (Acts 3:21). We can look forward to our Messiah “Rebuilding the Tabernacle of David” that has fallen down, (Amos 9:11; Acts 15:16).

By adding 75 days to when the Two Witnesses are resurrected on the Feast of Trumpets, it brings us to the 24th day of the 9th month (Haggai 2:18-20), which is Chanukkah, aka “The Feast of Dedication.”

Daniel 12:12 Blessed is he that waits, and comes to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days (1,335 days).

1,260 days - The Ministry of the Two Witnesses is complete, and they are resurrected on the Feast of Trumpets.

1,290 days - The Man of Sin continues to defile the Temple for 30 more days, until it is destroyed by Messiah and his army. During this time, I suspect that Messiah will sets up the Tabernacle of David as a temporary tent-like structure, while the Ezekiel Temple is being built.

1,335 days - 45 days after the Abomination of Desolation is destroyed, (and Jerusalem is cleansed by fire), the Ezekiel Temple will be completed and dedicated to YaHuWaH. Messiah’s Tabernacle will be dedicated on Chanukkah, taking us to 1,335 days.

By adding 75 days to Yom Teruah (when the Two Witnesses are taken up to heaven), we come to the 24th day of the 9th month (Haggai 2:18-19), which is Chanukkah (Dedication).

This is a total of 1,335 days, from the time that the tribulation begins, until Messiah’s Temple is Dedicated in the New Millennium (see Daniel 12:11).

#9.) The Wicked Are Judged, after the 1,000 Years are Finished:

After the 1,000 years of Messiah’s reign on earth, the wicked will be resurrected, to be judged out of the books. They will be cast alive into the Lake of Fire forever (Revelation 20:7-10).

Chazown (Revelation) 20:4-6 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Yahuwshuwa, and for the word of Elohiym, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hand; and they lived and reigned with Mashiyach (Messiah) a thousand years…..This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection: on such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of Elohiym and of Mashiyach (Messiah) and shall reign with him a thousand years

The “second resurrection” will take place after the 1,000-year millennial reign of Messiah. The wicked will be raised up, so they can be judged at “The white throne Judgment seat of Messiah.”

Chazown (Revelation) 20:5 “…But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.”

Satan will then be released from the bottomless pit after the one thousand years are expired, and he will be given permission to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth.

Satan will then attempt one last time to destroy the qodeshiym (saints) on earth, but YaHuWaH will send fire from heaven to devour Satan, the Beast and the False Prophet:

Chazown (Revelation) 20:7-10 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from Elohiym out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever

#10.) The New Heaven & New Earth Descend:

After these events are fulfilled, the bride of Messiah will be transformed into the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:1-2).

The Ancient Hebrew Wedding in Chronological Order

#1.) The father arranges the wedding as Samson’s father did, or the father sends an agent in his place, as Abraham sent Eleazer to find a bride for Yitzchaq (Isaac).

YaHuWaH sent the Ruwach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) to prepare the bride). The young man comes by himself to the girl’s father to arrange the marriage between the two of them.

#2.) The young man knocks on the door of the girl’s house, and if she answers the door, it means that she is interested in marrying him.

Chazown (Revelation) 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

If the young man goes to the house of the girl, he initially must carry these three things:

a.) A large sum of money (or many expensive items) to pay the price for the bride (Yahuwshuwa has purchased his bride with his own blood).

b.) A betrothal contract with his promises to the bride written on it. This is the same Towrah given to Yisra’el at Mount Horeb and deposited into the ark.

c.) A sheepskin filled with wine (this represents our Messiah’s blood) and the skin is the fact that he came in a mortal body (in the flesh).

*Note: In Yahuwchanon (John) 5:8 it says: “For there are three that bear witness in earth: the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”

In prophetic typology, the wine represents the Ruwach ha’Qodesh (Holy Spirit), the water represents the Word—the marriage contract or covenant--the Towrah given at Mount Sinai, and then later renewed at Mount Horeb.

And finally, the blood represents the price paid for our salvation. It is called “The bride price” (Ruth 4:10, Psalm 74:2). In Acts 20:28, Sha’uwl speaking to Pastors says: “Take heed to yourselves, to feed the assembly of Elohiym, which he has purchased with his own blood.”

In Ephesians 1:14 he tells us that the Ruwach’s presence with us is “The down-payment of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession.” His bride was the purchased possession, and he is coming to fully redeem her unto himself:

Eph’siym (Ephesians) 1:

13 In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the besowrah (gospel) of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that Ruwach ha’Qodesh (Holy Spirit) of promise,

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

1st Qorintiym (Corinthians) 6:20 & 1st Qorintiym (Corinthians) 7:23: “For you are bought with a price.”

#3.) If the father approves of the marriage, the girl is called in, and they all drink the wine together. In the drinking of the wine, she commits herself to the young man.

Yirmeyahuw (Jeremiah) 31:31 “I will make a Renewed (Chadash) Covenant with the House of Yisra’el and the House of Yahuwdah (Judah).”

Mattithyahuw (Matthew) 26:27-28: And He took the cup (the 3rd cup of the Seder—the cup of Redemption) and gave thanks, and gave it to them saying “Drink you all of it: for this is my blood of the Renewed Covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”

Thus, he renewed his covenant in his own blood, with his remnant bride who would be taken from among the whole believing House of Yisra’el.

During the course of the Passover Seder, the four cups of wine that are served to the people are used in the following manner, and are described below:

Cup #1.) The Cup of Sanctification
(Luke 22:17; 1st Corinthians 10:16,1st Peter 1:2, 2nd Thessalonians 2:13). This cup is called the Cup of Sanctification, or the Kiddush.

Cup #2.) The Cup of Wrath (Luke 22:42-44). This cup is not to be drank of, but is poured out on the table as the plagues of Egypt are recited. Yahuwshuwa drank of this cup for us in the Garden of Gethsemane and when he died on the tree (Revelation 14:10, 16:19).

Cup #3.) The Cup of Blessing (1st Corinthians 10:16) & The Cup of Salvation, (Psalms 116:13) or Redemption.

This cup is filled to overflowing, symbolizing an overflowing salvation.

Cup #4.) The Cup of the Kingdom (Matthew 26:28-29, Mark 14:25, Luke 22:18). Yahuwshuwa ha’Mashiyach spoke of eating and drinking this fourth cup in the Messianic Kingdom with his disciples because this is the final cup that the bride and the groom drink on their wedding day! This is the only cup that he did not drink of, because it is reserved for the wedding day!

*Note: can you see how these four cups correlate to the four trumpets on the Feast of Trumpets?

#4.) At this point, the two are considered husband and wife. Their union can only be dissolved by divorce, but their state is still called “a betrothal,” (engagement) just as with Miryam & Yahuwceph (Mary & Joseph) while she became pregnant by the Holy Spirit.

#5.) After the drinking of the wine, the young man says these words:

Yahuwchanon (John) 14:

2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

He will go away and prepare a room for them--adding on a room to his father’s house. He promises that when the room is finished, he would come back for her, and she would forever be with him. She belongs to him now, for she has been “bought with a price,” and this purchase has been witnessed and confirmed.

#6.) The young man goes to prepare a “chador” (chamber) in his father’s house, also called a “chuppah” (honeymoon bed).

Tehilliym (Psalm) 19:5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber (chuppah), and rejoice as a strong man to run a race.

Yahuw’EL (Joel) 2:16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber (cheder), and the bride out of her closet (chuppah)

#7.) The girl must now spend her time learning how to be a wife and mother, and to learn how to please her husband.

He may be gone for as long as two years or more. In 2nd Peter 3:8 it says that “One day is a like a thousand years with YaHuWaH,” therefore, our bridegroom has been gone for “two days” in the earthly timing of a Hebrew Wedding.

This means that the bridegroom will be gone for 2,000 years preparing a place for her before he returns!

The young man, if asked when the day of his wedding will be, often gets rid of nosey inquirers by saying: “No man knows the day or the hour, only my Father knows” (Matthew 24:36; Mark 13:32). To learn more about  the Feast of Trumpets, see my other blog: The Feast of Trumpets: “The Day That No Man Knows!”

Thus, he puts the responsibility of dealing with nosey friends and family off onto his father. It is a personal thing with him, and he only talks about the timing of his coming for his bride with his father.

He may communicate with his bride, in secret by messenger (represented by the Ruwach ha’Qodesh). But, also, the term “No man knows the day or the hour” is a catch-phrase for the “Feast of Trumpets” aka Yom Teruah.

Four trumpets are blown during that two-day time period, and, everyone waits for the “last trump,” when according to Hebrew Wedding Customs, the gates of heaven open and the righteous ascend to heaven, while the fate of the wicked is sealed.

#8.) The groom designates two close friends to assist him and to assist the bride during the ceremony. They are called “The Two Witnesses.”

These two witnesses were seen at “The Mount of Transfiguration” with our Messiah (Matthew 17:3-4).

They are Mosheh & Eliyahuw (Moses & Elijah) who represents two elements of: Law & Prophets or Spirit & Truth. Now these, two witnesses in Revelation 11 are not literally Moses & Elijah coming back in reincarnated form to be killed by the Anti-Messiah.

These two witnesses are “four groups” of people called “The Two Olive Trees & the Two Candlesticks” (Revelation 11:4).

The Two Olive Trees are the “Two Houses of Yisrael” (Ephrayim & Judah). The Two Menorahs (Candlesticks) are the Congregation of Smyrna & Philadelphia (Revelation 1:20).

These four groups are consolidated into two groups of people who represent Mosheh & Eliyahuw (Moses & Elijah) or “Law & Prophets.” These two corporate groups operate in the anointing of Mosheh (Moses) because they obey Towrah.

But they also operate in the anointing of Eliyahuw (Elijah) which are the gifts of the Ruwach (Spirit). During the ceremony, the contract containing the groom’s promises are then turned over to the parents of the bride.

At the Mount of Transfiguration, Yahuwshuwa was seen with these two witnesses: Mosheh & Eliyahuw (Moses & Elijah). The Two Witnesses in Revelation 11, are not Moses & Elijah reincarnated, because the Anti-Messiah must kill them. Therefore, they must have a mortal body.

According to Revelation 11:6, there may be two individuals who will be the leaders of the two corporate groups, however, they do the same exploits as Mosheh & Eliyahuw (Moses & Elijah). Therefore, they come “In the spirit and the power of Elijah & Moses” just as Yahuwchanon (John) the Baptist came “In the spirit and power of Elijah.”

Yahuwchanon (John) admitted that he was not Elijah (Luke 1:17, John 1:21), even though our Messiah said that he was “The Elijah” that they were expecting.

#9.) In the same way that the father threw a big party when the prodigal son came home, the Heavenly Father will throw a big party for his Son and his bride with music and dancing (Luke 15:25).

The prodigal son repented as he received “a white robe of righteousness” (a wedding garment) and a signet ring (his father’s name).

The fatted calf was killed because “atonement” was made (Luke 15:22-23). Our Messiah came as a substitute for the nation of Yisra’el. The term “scapegoat” literally means “The innocent party who takes the blame for the guilty party.”

Yahuwshuwa came “In the likeness of sinful flesh” (Romans 8:3-4), even though he never sinned. When he was sent into the wilderness to fast and pray for forty days, he was “Tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin” (Hebrews 4:15).

The Son will come for his bride with great fanfare, trumpets, his servants, friends and family.

It is a joyful day when he comes to receive his bride for the wedding ceremony.

#10.) On their wedding day they are called the King & Queen. On this day, they both stand without spot or blemish as they are united. For two years or more (for us, 2000 years approximately since our bridegroom went back to his Father’s house) the servant, represented for us by the Ruwach ha’Qodesh, works to prepare the bride to perfection for her marriage to the perfect bridegroom, Yahuwshuwa.

1st Qorin’tiym (Corinthians) 1:4 “I thank Elohiym always concerning that you are not lacking in any gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Master Yahuwshuwa Mashiyach…”

1st Tas’loniqiym (Thessalonians) 5:23: “And the Elohiym of peace Himself set you completely apart, and your entire spirit, and soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of Our Master Yahuwshuwa Mashiyach.”

Eph’siym (Ephesians) 5:

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Mashiyach also loved the Kehillah (Congregation), and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious Kehillah (Congregation), not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

#11). The words of the wedding ceremony are from Psalm 45, and Isaiah 61:10-62:5

“…As the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall Elohiym rejoice over you.”

#12). Once the ceremony is over, the two go into the bridal chamber (chuppah) for seven days. There are portions of the Song of Solomon read during Passover, which give the details of the intimacy between Messiah and his bride.

#13). The seven days in the chamber correspond to the seven days between the end of the Feast of Trumpets (the third day of Tishri), and the Day of Atonement, when the High Priest takes the blood before the altar of YaHuWaH, and the sins of the nation of Yisra’el are forgiven.

On the Day of Atonement, Messiah will judge all the nations that came against Jerusalem, and separate out the sheep and goat nations, as well as pronouncing the remnant of the Whole House of Ya’aqob (Jacob-Yisra’el)--all 12 Tribes--to be saved, redeemed, and restored (Joel 3:1-12; Matthew 25:31-46; Romans 11:26-27; Isaiah 59:20-21; 60:11-22; Jeremiah 31 and 33; Ezekiel 36:24-38; 37).

#14.) The Spirit of Eliyahuw (Elijah) typified in Yahuwchanon (John) the Immerser is the “best man” who is also called “The Friend of the Bridegroom” in John 3:29, or his “witness,” who waits at the chamber door. At the end of the seven days, the guests will then arrive and are waiting for the door to be opened, and the wedding banquet to begin.

When the groom is ready, he knocks from the inside of the door of the chamber, indicating that they are ready to make their public appearance before everyone. The friend opens the door, and the guests cheer.

This will take place on Yom Kippur when the “veil” is removed, and the bride and groom are revealed to the guests. The House of Yahuwdah (Judah), which are the remnant of the inhabitants of Jerusalem who were sealed ahead of time will then see him “face-to-face.” Zechariah 12:10 tells us they will finally recognize him as their Messiah whom they pierced.

#15.) In Revelation 11, the two witnesses have been in the earth witnessing and preparing for 3 ½ years. At the voice of the bridegroom calling them up, Yahuwshuwa comes out of heaven with a trumpet blast, accompanied by the set-apart ones who have died, to gather his bride for the wedding, and the seven days in the chuppah (during the ten days of awe between trumpets and atonement).

The door of heaven opens and he proceeds out for The bride has made herself ready.” He picks up his bride who is alive and waiting for him on the earth. Then, after his glorious entrance into Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), they proceed to the wedding feast which is called “The Marriage Supper of the Lamb” (Revelation 19:9).

But before the wedding feast, he first takes vengeance on the enemies of his bride and the enemies of Yisra’el & Yerushalayim!

After his display of wrath on Yom Kippur, hey proceed to the wedding banquet during the seven days of The Feast of Tabernacles with all the guests and the wedding party.

Thus, we can see that the first seven days correlate to the seven-day wedding of Leah & Ya’aqob (Jacob). This is during the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement (Yom Teruah & Yom Kippur).

After this, there is yet another seven days during the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot). Both halves of the bride are unified on Yom Kippur (made one stick in the hand of Yah), according to Ezekiel 37:15-17.

Both brides (typifying Leah & Rachel) symbolize Ephrayim & Judah, and will be made “one stick” in the hand of YaHuWaH at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

In Exodus 19:10-12, Mosheh commanded the people of Yisra’el to “Wash their wedding garments,” and to be ready “Unto the third day” to hear “The voice of the bridegroom” (Jeremiah 33:11, John 3:29, Revelation 18:23).

There are some who falsely teach that the bride of Messiah will be taken back to Mount Sinai, (since that is where the first marriage covenant was made). Although there are some similarities between the language in Revelation 19 & Exodus 19 pertaining to the Marriage of the Lamb & the Marriage of Yisra’el at Mount Sinai, Scripture reveals that the bride will be taken to the Mount Tziyown (Zion) in the New Jerusalem.

Ibriym (Hebrews) 11:16 But now THEY DESIRE A BETTER COUNTRY, THAT IS A HEAVENLY: wherefore Elohiym is not ashamed to be called their Elohiym: FOR HE HAS PREPARED FOR THEM A CITY.

Ibriym (Hebrews) 12:18 For you are not come unto the Mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

Ibriym (Hebrews) 12:19 And the sound of a shofar, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them anymore:

Ibriym (Hebrews) 12:20 (For they could not endure את that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:

Ibriym (Hebrews) 12:21 And so terrible was the sight, that Mosheh said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)

Ibriym (Hebrews) 12:22 But YOU ARE COME TO MOUNT TZIYOWN [ZION], and UNTO THE CITY OF THE LIVING ELOHIYM, THE HEAVENLY Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), and to AN INNUMERABLE COMPANY of MALAKIYM (angels).

Ibriym (Hebrews) 12:23 To the general assembly and congregation of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to Elohiym the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Ibriym (Hebrews) 12:24 And to Yahuwshuwa the mediator of the Renewed Covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.

Ibriym (Hebrews) 12:25 See that you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven:

Chazown (Revelation) 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, COME UP HERE. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

Chazown (Revelation) 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto Elohiym, and TO HIS THRONE.

Chazown (Revelation) 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, A LAMB STOOD ON MOUNT TZIYOWN, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

Chazown (Revelation) 14:2 And I HEARD A VOICE FROM HEAVEN, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

Chazown (Revelation) 14:3 And they sung as it were A NEW SONG BEFORE THE THRONE, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

Chazown (Revelation) 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for THE MARRIAGE OF THE LAMB IS COME, and HIS WIFE HAS MADE HERSELF READY.

Chazown (Revelation) 19:8 And TO HER WAS GRANTED THAT SHE SHOULD BE ARRAYED IN FINE LINEN, CLEAN AND WHITE: FOR THE FINE LINEN IS THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE QODESHIYM (saints).

Chazown (Revelation) 19:9 And he said unto me, Write, BLESSED ARE THEY WHICH ARE CALLED UNTO THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of Elohiym.

Chazown (Revelation) 19:14 And THE ARMIES WHICH WERE IN HEAVEN FOLLOWED HIM UPON WHITE HORSES, CLOTHED IN FINE LINEN, WHITE AND CLEAN.

Chazown (Revelation) 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together TO MAKE WAR AGAINST HIM THAT SAT ON THE HORSE, AND AGAINST HIS ARMY.

After the third day at Mount Sinai, the glory of YaHuWaH “covered” Mount Sinai for “six days,” and on the “seventh day,” Mosheh was called up to receive the marriage contract (the two tables of testimony).

This is where we see the pattern being established for a “seven day marriage.” In the parable of the wise virgins, (Matthew 25:1-11), we are shown that only the prepared bride gets to go into the chuppah with him. The guests are shut out.

The bride will be taken up to the third heaven, to Mount Tziyown (Zion), which in Hebrew means “a parched place.”

#6724 tsiyown tsee-yone' from the same as 6723; a desert:--dry place

#6725 tsiyuwn tsee-yoon' from the same as 6723 in the sense of conspicuousness (Compare 5329); a monumental or guiding pillar:--sign, title, waymark.

Mount Tziyown comes from a root word that means “A TITLE!” This represents the burning mountain where YaHuWaH first wanted Yisra’el to hear his voice, yet they refused. This time, the bride will be given a title deed, because everything the groom owns, he shares with his bride.

Mount Tziyown represents those who have been purified by the consuming fire of YaHuWaH. Mount Sinai is likened unto “bondage” and Hagar (Galatians 4:22-26), because it memorializes the place where Yisra’el committed harlotry with the golden calf.

Mount Sinai means “Babylonian moon god.” But Mount Tziyown (Zion) is in the New Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) which Shaul (Paul) calls “the mother of us all,” and is typified as Sarah (the free woman).

Mountain Tziyown (Zion) is another name for the city of Yerushalayim---the city of our the great King David who typifies our Messiah at his second coming. Those who come out of the fire of affliction and tribulation are found to be like pure gold (refined in the fire) like the free woman (Sarah).

Mount Tziyown is the place of our spiritual destiny (1st Peter 2:6, Hebrews 12:22, Revelation 14:1, Romans 11:26, Isaiah 37:32, Isaiah 2:3).

#16.) Yahuwchanon (John) the Immerser (Baptist) saw himself as the groom’s “friend” (John 3:28-30).

Hebrew tradition says that Eliyahuw (Elijah) attends the groom and John was called “Eliyahuw” even by Yahuwshuwa (Matthew 11:13-14).

Eliyahuw’s message is one of preparation for the coming Messiah. He stands and waits for the bridegroom’s knock on the door.

Matthew 17:3 shows the glorified, radiant Messiah standing with Mosheh & Eliyahuw as his “Two Witnesses.”

#17.) The bride’s attendant according to Hebrew tradition is Mosheh (symbolic of the Towrah). His function is to escort the bride to the bridegroom, as Mosheh escorted the children of Yisra’el to Sinai to be wed to Elohiym there.

Mosheh typifies the Towrah (law) which is also “The schoolmaster,” to bring us to Messiah (Galatians 3:24). But instead of the bride being escorted to Mount Sinai (a picture of her old sinful nature which placed her in bondage), she will be escorted to Mount Tziyown (Zion) for the wedding as seen in Revelation 14:1.

In Revelation 11:3-7, the two witnesses have the characteristics of Elijah and Moses. The Towrah (law) is our schoolmaster that brings us to Messiah according to Galatians 3:24.

But the bride has not been presented to the bridegroom yet!

She must be escorted to him by the Towrah (represented as Mosheh). If the bride has not been presented to the bridegroom yet, that means that the Towrah cannot be done away with (Matthew 5:17-19).

At the end of Messiah’s one thousand-year reign, the bride will be transformed into the New Jerusalem, and this is when the first heaven and earth will “pass away.”

Our Messiah told us that the Mosaic Law (Towrah) will not “pass away” until heaven and earth are passed away. The Towrah will abide forever, but the implementation of the Levitical system will be replaced in eternity by the Melchizedek system.

The bride must be escorted by the Towrah (Mosaic Law) typified in Mosheh, and after that, the then it will pass away at the end of the Millennium.

#18.) After the marriage, the bride goes to live with her bridegroom as the Queen of the Almighty Elohiym, and he will be the King of Yisra’el.

A perfect picture of this can be seen in Esther 8:4. The bride remains with the bridegroom by his side during the Millennium as she “rules and reigns” with Messiah for a thousand years (Revelation 20:6).

#19.) After the 1,000 years are finished, the first heaven and earth are passed away and a “New Heaven & Earth” will come down. The bride herself will be the “New Yerushalayim,” as she is prepared and adorned for her husband (Revelation 21:1-2).

The Lamb, and YaHuWaH Almighty will be “The temple,” and there will be no need for the sun, the moon or the seas, for the Lamb himself will shine as the sun and the moon, and he himself will be the “The river of living water” (Revelation 21:1-23; 22:1).
