Is Pangaea a Biblical Concept?

In April of 2002, I woke up one morning to the audible voice of YaHuWaH speaking to me about “Peleg & Pangaea” after the Flood of Noah.

I had never considered this concept as being scriptural until that day. I had learned about Pangaea in Grade-School Science Class, but I wrote it off as an Evolution Theory. After doing some research, however, I discovered that the Pangaea Theory was first discovered by a Creationist who believed the earth is only 6,000 years old!

That’s right! The Pangaea Theory did not begin with Evolutionists! Antonio Snider-Pellegrini (1802–1885) was a French geographer and scientist who theorized about the possibility of continental drift, anticipating Wegeners theories concerning Pangaea by several decades.

In 1858, Snider-Pellegrini published his book, La Création et ses Mystères Dévoilés---“The Creation and its Mysteries Unveiled.” Snider-Pellegrini made two maps. They depict his interpretation of how the American and African continents may once have fit together before becoming separated. Snider-Pellegrini based his idea on Genesis 1:9–10, which suggests that Elohiym created the earth’s original dry land as one large supercontinent.

Like Wegener, Snider-Pellegrini noticed the earth’s continents seem to fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. But Wegener’s proposal was greeted with international ridicule, partly because he failed to offer “A credible mechanism powerful enough to move continents.”

Snider-Pellegrini, on the other hand, recognized the Global Flood described in the historical account of Genesis 6–8 could provide the power to remodel the earth’s crust. See these links:

It’s obvious from Genesis 10:20, that there was a division of three categories in the days of Peleg:

Bereshiyth (Genesis) 10:20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their TONGUES, in their COUNTRIES, and in their NATIONS.

Tongues = languages.
Countries = land.
Nations = people.

There was the division of all three. First the languages, then the land, and then the people.

Genesis 11:11-16 tells us that Arphaxad was 34 years old when he bore Peleg. And Arphaxad was born 2 years after the flood. This means that Peleg was born 36 years after the flood.

In Genesis 10:25, it says that the “land” (earth) was divided (split) in the days of Peleg. His parents obviously named him “Peleg,” because the continents were already splitting and drifting further apart.

It took 36 years after the flood for this process to take place. As a matter of fact, the very name “Peleg” in the Hebrew Lexicon means “division, and earthquake!”

Whereas, at the Tower of Babel, the dividing of the languages took place more immediately. People in those days did not have sophisticated transportation, where they could migrate to all the continents of the earth.

They had boats where they could cross over rivers, but to make a long journey to the North Pole or Russia from the Middle East with infants and children, is not realistic.

Many of them would have perished along the way. It makes a lot more sense that YaHuWaH scattered them abroad to the ends of the super-continent, and then the super-continent drifted apart, causing them to move further away from Babel.

Ever since YaHuWaH spoke to me back in 2002 about Pangea, I  have been suspecting for at least 20 + years, that just before the return of our Messiah, all seven continents might come together again, as a reversal of the biblical Pangea that took place after the flood in Noah’s day.

Back in 2002, following the events of 9/11/2001, YaHuWaH spoke to me in an audible voice in a dream, as I was awakened suddenly. He said to me Look up Peleg. I was stunned, because up until this point, I had never thought about Pangea as a biblical concept. So I looked up the meaning of this name Peleg, and found this:

Bereshiyth (Genesis) 10:25 And unto Eber (Abar) were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; (Palag) for in his days was THE EARTH DIVIDED; and his brother's name was Joktan (Yoqtan).

Bereshiyth (Genesis) 10:32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were THE NATIONS DIVIDED AFTER THE FLOOD.

The name “Peleg” means “earthquake,” and it comes from the root word “plag,” which means to split, to divide.

#6389 Peleg peh'-leg the same as 6388; earthquake; Peleg, a son of Shem:--Peleg. 6385 palag paw-lag' a primitive root; to split (literally or figuratively):--divide.

#6386 plag pel-ag' (Aramaic) corresponding to 6385:--divided

The name “Eber” (Abar) is where we derive the word Hebrew. The meanings of these names tell a story.

Abar (Eber) had two sons: Peleg & Yoqtan.

Peleg = to divide, to split.
Yoktan = he will be made little.

From these two names, we understand, that the earth was one large super-continent at one time, (all seven continents were connected), but after the flood in Noah’s day, the continents split, and were divided.

As a result of the split, Yoqtan (Joktan) became a smaller continent, which explains the meaning of his name:

#3355 Yoqtan yok-tawn' from 6994; he will be made little; Joktan, an Arabian patriarch:--Joktan.

#6994 qaton kaw-tone' a primitive root (rather denominative from 6996); to diminish, i.e. be (causatively, make) diminutive or (figuratively) of no account:--be a (make) small (thing), be not worthy.

The name Eber means the following:

#5675 `abar ab-ar' (Aramaic) corresponding to 5676:--beyond, this side.

#5676 `eber ay'-ber from 5674; properly, a region across; but used only adverbially (with or without a preposition) on the opposite side, especially of the Jordan; usually meaning the east):--X against, beyond, by, X from, over, passage, quarter, (other, this) side, straight.

This word implies that YaHuWaH is the one who divides and separates the holy from the profane, “The clean from the unclean.

The dividing of the earth into seven continents reminds me of another division that took place with Tamar’s twins born to her by the patriarch Yahuwdah (Judah).

Bereshiyth (Genesis) 38:

27 And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb.

28 And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.

29 And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How have you broken forth? this breach be upon you: therefore his name was called Perets (Pharez).

30 And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarach (Zarah).

What we learn from this account, is that Perets means “To cause a gap or a breach; to cause division, or separation.”

Thus, Perets represents the Kingdom of Yahuwdah (Judah), because it was King Solomon who caused the once united Kingdom of Yisrael, (under his father, David), to be divided into Two Kingdoms. The other twin named Zarach means “Rising of light,or “To arise, to resurrect.

Even though our Messiah came to us through the Tribe of Yahuwdah (Judah), Zarach is the twin who represents our Messiah, who would come to earth to “Stand in the Gap, closing up, and “Repairing the Breach between these two divided kingdoms.

Back in 2015, I began researching the “Flat Earth” narrative, that had made it’s way into the community of Christian & Hebraic Roots believers. As I began praying, and asking my Father about this, he showed me an open vision of Pangea, and he compared it side-by-side with a fetus in the womb. This is what I saw in my vision:

YaHuWaH was showing me that before the biblical account of Pangaea in Genesis 10:32 & 11:9, the earth was one large super-continent that looked like a baby in the womb!

What Yah was showing me, is that Pangaea would not have been possible on a Flat Earth, because the earth is like a womb. YaHuWaH showed me that the baby in the womb is in the amniotic sac, before being born. Thus, the who are “born-again of incorruptible seed” (1st Peter 23), are like the seeds of a Pomegranate inside of the globe earth.  At our Messiah’s return, the man-child (one new man) will emerge out of a womb-shaped earth. See my other blog: He that Formed Thee from the Womb

The flood in Noah’s day was like the water breaking when a woman goes into labour.

Bereshiyth (Genesis) 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noahs life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

The fountains of the great deep were subterranean waters that could not exist on a flat earth that is like a flat plane. Instead, the earth is like a globe that hangs on nothing(Job 26:7). For the earth to be a flat disc (that hangs on nothing, and yet, there are waters within the deep recesses), it would no longer be a flat disc, but instead, a huge cylinder as seen in this graphic below. Does this resemble a flat earth? I didn’t think so!

We learn in the Genesis account, that before the flood, the waters of the deep were “broken up” and the subterranean waters underneath the earth
’s crust came up and began flooding the earth.

The earth’s super-continent resembled a baby being formed in the womb. In Revelation 12, the woman (symbolic of Jerusalem, the mother of us all in Galatians 4:26), will give birth to a resurrected one new man (Ephesians 2:15) just before the return of Yahuwshuwa, the bridegroom.

Isaiah 66 reveals that since 1948, when the Yisrael was a nation that was reborn in one day (physically speaking), the earth is preparing to give birth, as she brings forth her children.

All seven continents that have been divided since the days of the flood, will be reunited again, just before the return of Messiah, or soon after. All seven continents of the world are symbolic of the Seven Assemblies in the first three chapters of Revelation. These seven continents are about to be rejoined again, as ONE NEW MAN!

In Matthew 24:8, when our Messiah said These are the beginning of birth pains, he wasn’t just speaking figuratively! He was speaking of the earth’s continents coming back together again as in the days before the flood! This will make it possible for all the nations of the earth to make Pilgrimage to Jerusalem for the Feasts of YaHuWaH, without needing airplanes, or boats. In Isaiah 66:8, this parallels perfectly to the words of our Messiah:

Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.

Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 66:8 Who has heard such a thing? who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Tziyown (Zion) travailed, she brought forth her children.

*Explanation: National Yisrael became a nation again in 1948, thus, the above passage is telling us that before the Great Tribulation described by our Messiah in Matthew 24:15-21, Yisrael would give birth to a corporate one new man, in the literal, or national sense.

However, this does not change the fact that  Yisra’el as a spiritually re-born people will be resurrected 80 years later at the 120th Jubilee, when Messiah returns for his bride (see Revelation 11:8-15, 12:5, Psalm 90:10).

Thus, Yisrael’s rebirth takes place in two stages: physically, as a nation, and also spiritually at the resurrection.

Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 66:Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? says YHWH: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? says your Elohiym.

Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 66:10 Rejoice you with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you that mourn for her:

Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 66:11 That you may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that you may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 66:12 For thus says YHWH, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Goyim (Gentiles) like a flowing stream: then shall you suck, you shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.

On June 25, 2023, I began researching this phenomenon again, and I found an article online, suggesting that my suspicions about the continents of the earth coming back together again are accurate. See this article: How the Next Super-Continent Will Form

Here is an excerpt from this article that supports my theory, that the continents of the earth will come back together again in the days before our Messiah returns, or soon thereafter.

For geologist Joao Duarte at the University of Lisbon, the path to exploring Earths future supercontinents began with an unusual event in the past: an earthquake that struck Portugal one Saturday morning in November 1755. It was among the most powerful quakes of the past 250 years, killing 60,000 people and sending a tsunami across the Atlantic Ocean.

What made it particularly odd was its location. You should not have big earthquakes in the Atlantic, says Duarte. It was strange. Earthquakes of this scale usually happen on or near major subduction zones, where oceanic plates plunge beneath the continents and are melted and consumed in the hot mantle.

They involve collision and destruction. The 1755 quake, however, happened along a passive boundary, where the ocean plate underlying the Atlantic transitions smoothly into the continents of Europe and Africa.

In 2016, Duarte and colleagues proposed a theory for what might be going on: the stitches between these plates could be unravelling, and a major rupture may be looming. It could be a kind of infectious mechanism, he explains. Or like the glass splintering between two small holes in a car windscreen.

If so, a subduction zone could be poised to spread out from the Mediterranean along western Africa and perhaps all the way up past Ireland and the UK, bringing volcanoes, mountain-building and earthquakes to these regions. Duarte realized that, if this happens, it could lead to the Atlantic eventually closing. And if the Pacific continued to close too – which is already occurring along the subducting Ring of Fire circling it – a new supercontinent would eventually form. He called it Aurica, named because the former landmasses of Australia and the America s would sit at its center. It would look like this:

Our Creator refers to Jerusalem as The center, or the belly button of the earth. In Galatians 4:26, Shaul (Paul) writes that Jerusalem is the mother of us all.

Yechezqel (Ezekiel) 5:5 Thus says YHWH Elohiym; This is Yerushalayim (Jerusalem): I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her
