For years I have heard people within the Hebraic Root’s Community claim that there is no biblical support for what is often referred to in Judaism as “The Ten Days of Awe.”
But, not so fast!
In Genesis 24:55, Rebekah was asked to wait “TEN DAYS” before going to marry Isaac. However, she was unwilling to wait!
She was ready to go and meet the bridegroom!
In Revelation 2:10, the Congregation at Smyrna was told that they would have to suffer tribulation for “TEN DAYS!”
However, the Congregation at Philadelphia has “AN OPEN DOOR” to go and meet the bridegroom right away!
Interestingly, the word “tribulation” means the same thing as the word “awe,” according to the Hebrew Lexicon, which I will share later. In this study, we are going to find out exactly what Rebekah & Philadelphia have in common.
Seven Women, Seven Congregations & Seven Continents
Scripture describes a phenomenon whereby “ten virgins” are selected out of “seven women” (seven continents), and only half of them (the five wise virgins) will choose to run after the bridegroom on the Feast of Trumpets.
The other half (the five foolish virgins) will not be ready to meet the bridegroom when he comes at midnight to snatch away the bride. The foolish virgins will have to go and buy oil for their lamps during these final “ten days” leading up to the second coming of Messiah.
There are ten days between these two annual Festivals of YaHuWaH called “Yom Teruw’ah” (Day of Blowing) and “Yom Kippur” (Day of Atonement), and there is going to be a wedding of two brides to one bridegroom.
However, both of these brides will become only one bride or “one stick” in the hand of YaHuWaH (Ezekiel 37:16-17), on that day when our Messiah, Yahuwshuwa returns.
“The Marriage Supper of the Lamb” will unite “The Two Houses of Yisra’el” typified in Leah & Rachel, and this will take place on Yom Kippur as seen in Revelation 19:7.
Who are these “seven women” out of whom are selected “ten virgins?” And how do these ten virgins end up becoming “two brides,” and then finally, only one bride? The prophet Isaiah may gives us a clue:
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by your name, to take away our reproach.
*Explanation: These seven women represent the seven continents of the earth. They are asking to be called by the name of the bridegroom (Yahuwshuwa) because they were divorced (exiled) from the covenant of Yisra’el. The only way that they can be restored to the covenant is through Yahuwshuwa Messiah, who is the kinsman redeemer!
The prophet Isaiah foretold of the last days, when these seven women from the seven continents of the earth (typified as seven assemblies) will return from their exile. They will have their sins washed away, and they will take their refuge in Jerusalem.
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 4:2 In that day shall the branch of YHWH be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Yisra’el.
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 4:3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Tziyown (Zion), and he that remains in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem):
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 4:4 When YHWH shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Tziyown (Zion), and shall have purged the blood of Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 4:5 And YHWH will create upon every dwelling place of mount Tziyown (Zion), and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 4:6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.
This prophecy in Isaiah describing “seven women,” is a metaphor for the “seven congregations” to whom our Messiah addressed letters in the first three chapters of Revelation. In Isaiah 4:1 these “seven women” are requesting to be “called by the name” of the bridegroom, so they will not be looked upon with reproach.

In Revelation 14:4, the 144,000 “Follow the lamb wherever he goes,” and they are “undefiled by women.” Some have interpreted this literally to mean “male virgins.” However, the Greek word for “women” is “gune,” which is a singular word, meaning “a wife.” Applying the law of first mention, the prophets Jeremiah, Hosea & Ezekiel likened the “backsliding Yisra’el” to a harlot.
The first “wife” of YaHuWaH was the nation of Yisra’el, and they committed adultery against him with the molten calf on Mount Sinai. Later in history, these Ten Northern Tribes of Yisra’el, were divorced in Jeremiah 3:8 for the same sin, as King Jeroboam erected two golden calves at Dan and Bethel for the people to worship (1st Kings 12:25-33).
In 1st Kings 16:30-31, King Ahab committed the same sins as Jeroboam, and he was said to have committed even more evil than all the kings of Yisra’el before him. He also took a foreign wife named “Jezebel,” who taught the people of Yisra’el to worship Ba’al.
To learn more about how Roman Catholicism now has a stronghold in the holy city of Jerusalem, see this blog: The Harlot “Jezebel” Moves back to Jerusalem
In 1993, Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres handed over 60% of the Old City of East Jerusalem to Pope John Paul II, under the Oslo Accords. Peres was displaying himself as a repeat of King Ahab, by allowing the foreign woman (The Vatican) to enter the land, and to teach the people of Yisra’el to once again, worship Ba’al via the Roman Catholic religion.
In Revelation 2:20-23, our Messiah warned us about a demonic entity that he calls “That woman Jezebel,” after the wicked wife of Ahab.
Why would our Messiah speak of this woman (Jezebel) who had already been dead for hundreds of years at the time of John receiving this revelation on the Island of Patmos?
I believe Yahuwshuwa was reminding us of the original Queen Jezebel. He wants us to remember how this same principality is a religious harlot, because she “Teaches the servants of YaHuWaH to eat things sacrificed unto idols and to commit fornication.”
Since 1993, the demonic Spirit of Jezebel entered the holy land, and began conducting Roman Catholic Masses at the base of the Mount of Olives, where our Messiah was crucified, and where Abraham first offered up Yitzchaq (Isaac): See this blog for the details:
To be counted as a “virgin” in these last days, we must obey the command to “Come out of her” (Revelation 18:4), and separate ourselves from the filthiness of her fornication with idols and pagan mixture.
There are some who would try and discredit this prophetic event known as “The Ten Days of Awe,” because they fail to see that there is a precedent for it in Scripture. However, a closer look reveals that these ten days are pivotal in preparing Smyrna to finally meet the bridegroom at his second coming. For those who have “ears to hear,” our Messiah is giving us “hidden manna” to help us prepare for his arrival:
Chazown (Revelation) 2:17 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Ruwach (Spirit) says unto the assemblies; To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows saving he that receives it.
Contrary to popular belief, the period known as “The Great Tribulation” (Matthew 24:21) will not last for seven years, because this period has already been divided in half by our Messiah’s ministry of 3 ½ years (Luke 4:25-26). See this other blog: Messiah’s Seven-Year Ministry Divided in Half
What theologians have referred to as “Daniel’s 70th Week” was partially fulfilled by our Messiah, followed by his being “cut off in the midst of the week” (Daniel 9:26-27).
See my other blog: Daniel’s 70th Week Divided in Half at the Conclusion of Messiah’s Earthly Ministry
There are several places in Scripture, where we are shown a 3 ½ year tribulation, however in Daniel 12:11, we see 30 extra days for a total of 1,290 days. After the Corporate Two Witnesses are killed and then resurrected to heaven, and to the throne (Revelation 11:12-15 & 12:5); there will be 30 more days during which the beast and his army will continue to desecrate and defile Jerusalem, and the entire world.
The first ten days of these 30 days are “Ten Days of Tribulation” (Revelation 2:10). These are ten days of extra tribulation that Smyrna is told she must suffer. Even though Smyrna is commended for her “works, tribulation, and poverty,” she is still missing the oil that Philadelphia has. What does the oil represent? Song of Solomon tells us:
Song of Solomon 1:3-4 Because of the savour of your good oils, your name is as oil poured forth, therefore do the virgins love you. Draw me, we will run after you: the king has brought me into his chambers (chuppah): we will be glad and rejoice in you, we will remember youyr love more than wine: the upright love you.
As we can see, the “oil,” that the wise virgins have, is the identification of their groom’s name! Philadelphia is commended by our Messiah, for her obedience and good works, but she also has one key element that Smyrna is missing. For he says to her “You have denied my name” (Revelation 3:8).
You will also notice that both Smyrna & Philadelphia are being compared to those who go by the title “Yahuwdiym,” (Jews), but in the end, those who have joined the Synagogue of Satan (Revelation 2:9 & 3:9) are not counted as such.
This means that Smyrna & Philadelphia are legitimately called “Yahuwdiym,” (Jews), because they obey the Mosaic Law (Towrah), as described in Romans 2:26-29. In the end, it’s not going to depend on pedigree, nationality, or religious and cultural affiliation. What qualifies as belonging to our Messiah’s Tribe of Yahuwdah (Judah)?
Romiym (Romans) 2:26-29:
“Therefore if the uncircumcision guard the statutes of the Towrah, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the Towrah, judge you, who by the letter and circumcision does transgress the Towrah? For he is not a Yahuwdiy, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Yahuwdiy, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Ruwach (Spirit), and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of Elohiym.”
Aha! Now we see why our Messiah compared Smyrna & Philadelphia to Yahuwdiym (Jews). It is because both have good works, for they obey the righteous laws given by our Creator at Mount Sinai. This means that Smyrna does not fit into the same category as those “workers of lawlessness” to whom he shall declare “I never knew you” (Matthew 7:23).
Smyrna is obedient to Towrah, but she does not know the bridegroom by name. This tells us that Smyrna represents Towrah-obedient Yahuwdiym (Jews), who have not yet accepted Yahuwshuwa as their Messiah! However, we are shown in Ezekiel 9 & Revelation 7, that Yah seals these in the foreheads ahead of time, because he knows that they will accept him, just before he lands his feet on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:10).
This explains why Smyrna must suffer tribulation for ten extra days. During these ten days, many of them will be thrown into prison, and/or martyred, but Messiah tells them that they will “receive a crown of life” if they are faithful unto death. Because Smyrna is missing the “oil of his name,” I believe they will remember the words of the wise virgins who counseled them by saying:
Mattityahuw (Matthew) 25:9 “...but go you rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.”
The wise virgins (typified as Philadelphia, Leah & Zilpah) have been given the open door of escape, but those who typify the foolish virgins, Smyrna, Rachel & Bilhah, will not have their oil lamps filled in time for the elopement with the bridegroom. Thus they will be told by him “I know you not” (Matthew 25:12). However, this is not the same thing as being told “I never knew you” (Matthew 7:23). What is the difference between those workers of lawlessness, and these foolish virgins?
As we have already seen, Smyrna is Towrah-obedient, but those workers of lawlessness in Matthew 25:12, can be compared to those within the Mother Harlot Church, who claim to do many works in our Messiah’s name, but they are exposed as law breakers.
In other words, these are the same people who claim that “The Law of Moses was done away with, and nailed to the cross.”
However, Smyrna, (I believe) are Yahuwdiym (Jews) who love the Towrah, and they are awaiting their Messiah to come from heaven, but they do not know him yet as Yahuwshuwa!
For Smyrna, who are also typify the foolish virgins, they are still chaste and undefiled by the One World Religion of Antichrist, but all that is left for them to do, is to recognize Yahuwshuwa as their Messiah, and it is evident that they will will, during the “Ten Days of Awe.”
These final ten days of tribulation, (leading up to Yom Kippur), is what is being described in the parable of the Ten Virgins.
1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go you rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Master, Master open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comes.
You will notice in this parable, that the “five wise virgins” went into the marriage and then the door was “shut.” In Revelation 3:8-10 we are going to learn that only the Congregation at Philadelphia will have “an open door” to escape at the end of what is called “The Great Tribulation.”
Many within the Christian Church believe that they will be taken away from the earth (raptured) before this great tribulation period. However, it is crucial to understand that the tribulation period is only 3.5 years, and our Messiah taught that the elect shall be gathered from the four corners of the earth “Immediately after the tribulation” (Matthew 24:29-31; Daniel 12:1-2).
There will not be a “Pre-Tribulation Rapture,” as many in the Christian Church have falsely believed and taught. I will not expound on that subject in this teaching, but you can read about it in my article entitled “Pre-Tribulation or Post-Tribulation Rapture?”

We will soon understand the meaning of these mysterious ten days, but let’s first learn about these seven congregations and who they are. Out of seven congregations in the first three chapters of Revelation, only two congregations were found faithful.
The messenger (angel) revealed to Yahuwchanon (John) who these “Two Witnesses” are in Revelation 11:4. He described them as “The Two Olive Trees & The Two Candlesticks.”
The messenger (angel) revealed to Yahuwchanon (John) who these “Two Witnesses” are in Revelation 11:4. He described them as “The Two Olive Trees & The Two Candlesticks.”
In Jeremiah 11:16, Zechariah 4:3 & Romans 11:17-21, the nation of Yisra’el is likened unto “An olive tree.” Nevertheless, they were divided into two separate nations after King Solomon died (1st Kings 12:16-24), consequently, they became two olive trees.
To this day, they represent “The Ten Northern Tribes of Ephrayim & the Two Southern Tribes of Judah.”
To this day, they represent “The Ten Northern Tribes of Ephrayim & the Two Southern Tribes of Judah.”
In Revelation 1:20, our Messiah revealed “The mystery of the seven golden candlesticks,” which are in his right hand. He revealed that the “The seven golden candlesticks are the seven congregations.”
Out of seven, only two of them were commended for their good works: Smyrna & Philadelphia.
These Two Witnesses, are obviously, the Two Houses of Yisra’el, as well as those “grafted-in” companions who came out of the Mother Harlot Church.
However, I also believe there could be two literal men who will represent these two corporate groups. These Two Witnesses will carry the same anointing as Eliyahuw (Elijah), and the same anointing as Mosheh (Moses). To learn more, see my other blog explaining who these elusive characters are:Who Are the Two Witnesses?
Contrary to popular belief, these Two Witnesses are not Moses & Elijah (literally-speaking), for we would have to believe in reincarnation for that to be possible, and Scripture refutes the idea of reincarnation (Hebrews 9:27).
Mosheh & Eliyahuw will not be coming back in reincarnated form, because the Two Witnesses will be killed by the beast.
I believe these Two Witnesses are two corporate groups (as well as two individuals), who will come “In the spirit and power” of Eliyahuw & Mosheh (Elijah & Moses).
Yahuwchanon (John) the Baptist also came “In the Spirit of Elijah,” even though he was not literally Elijah reincarnated. These will do the same exploits as Mosheh & Eliyahuw (Moses & Elijah) as demonstrated in Revelation 11:6.
These Two Witnesses represent four corporate bodies of people, who typify the four mothers of the Twelves Tribes of Yisra’el, as follows:

1.) Philadelphia includes those who typify Leah and her handmaiden, Zilpah.
2.) Smyrna includes those who typify Rachel and her handmaiden, Bilhah.
The two olive trees represent the Two Houses of Yisra’el, which are Ephrayim & Yahuwdah (Judah). Ezekiel 37:16-19 tells us that these two houses have “companions” who join them, which are obviously the gentiles from the Christian Church who have “crossed over,” and have been “grafted into” these two olive trees (Romans 11:24).
These Gentile companions of Ephrayim & Judah are “The Two Candlesticks” of Smyrna & Philadelphia (Revelation 1:20 & 11:4).
These four groups of people will be consolidated into two groups, and they will also bring together the two elements of “Law & Prophets” as well as “Spirit & Truth.” When these two witnesses are resurrected, they will become what is called the “one new man” (Ephesians 2:15, Revelation 12:5).
When we read the description of these two congregations, we get the distinct impression that the Congregation of Philadelphia & the Congregation of Smyrna are made up of mostly Yahuwdiym (Jews), because they are the only two congregations who are being compared to “false Jews” that are called “The Synagogue of Satan.”
Yahuwshuwa addressed the Congregation of Smyrna:
Chazown (Revelation) 2:
8 And unto the angel of the Congregation in Smyrna write; These things says the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
9 I know your works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but you are rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Yahuwdiyth (Jews), and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
10 Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days: be you faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life.
11 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the congregations; He that overcomes shall not be hurt of the second death.
*Note: As you can see, the Congregation at Smyrna was commended for their “works,” which means that they obey Towrah (Mosaic Law). However, it does not say anything about them not denying the “name” of our Messiah, Yahuwshuwa, (which is one of the characteristics of Philadelphia).
I believe that Smyrna are Yahuwdiym (Jews) who have not accepted Yahuwshuwa as their Mashiyach (Messiah) as of yet, but they still qualify to be “sealed” in advance because they have not taken “The mark of the beast,” nor have they worshiped his image.
In other words, these are the ones who “sigh and cry at the abominations” that are being done in Jerusalem in the last days, thus they are given a “mark” in their foreheads as seen in Ezekiel 9:4 & Revelation 7:3.
As a result, Yahuwshuwa ha’Mashiyach takes notice of their “good works.” He also compares them to those who are only Yahuwdiym (Jews) outwardly, but they are not inwardly Yahuwdiym (Jews) because they do not obey Towrah. The Apostle Sha’uwl explained this in Romans 2:26-29 where he teaches that a true Yahuwdiy (Jew) is one who obeys Towrah.
He goes on to explain that if an uncircumcised Gentile “Obeys the Towrah” (Mosaic Law), then his “uncircumcision” is counted for as “circumcision,” thus they are counted as Yahuwdiym (Jews).

He goes on to explain that if an uncircumcised Gentile “Obeys the Towrah” (Mosaic Law), then his “uncircumcision” is counted for as “circumcision,” thus they are counted as Yahuwdiym (Jews).
This is because the Tribe of Yahuwdah (Judah) is the tribe that has been entrusted with the “scepter” to be the “law-givers” (Genesis 49:10; Romans 3:1-2). Therefore, being a follower of Towrah puts you in company with this tribe.
Because of their obedience to Towrah (their works), and because they are “undefiled” by the Mother Harlot Church, they are still counted as “virgins” and they are thus sealed unto the day of redemption.
However, Smyrna has not accepted Yahuwshuwa as their Messiah as of yet, and this is why they are “five foolish virgins” who have no oil in their lamps when the bridegroom comes.
It is because they do not have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as they have not accepted the blood atonement of Yahuwshuwa Mashiyach as of yet.
It is because they do not have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as they have not accepted the blood atonement of Yahuwshuwa Mashiyach as of yet.
The number “five” represents the “five books” of Towrah and that is why they are “five foolish virgins.” They obey Towrah indicated by the number “5” and they are virgins which means that they are undefiled by Jezebel’s Ba’al worship, but the only thing that they need is oil in their lamps.
This is why Smyrna must suffer “tribulation for ten days” while Philadelphia is given “an open door,” and they will be “kept from the hour of temptation.” What differentiates Philadelphia from Smyrna?
Chazown (Revelation) 3:
7 And to the angel of the Congregation in Philadelphia write; These things says he that is holy, he that is true, he that has the key of Dawiyd (David), he that opens, and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens;
8 I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name.
9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Yahuwdiyth (Jews), and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
10 Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
*Note: You will notice that Yahuwshuwa makes a distinction in Revelation 2:9 and in Revelation 3:9 between the real Yahuwdiyth (Jews) and those who “lie” and say that they are Yahuwdiym (Jews) but they are of the “The Synagogue of Satan.”
Yet, if you compare the message that he had for the other five congregations, he never mentions anything about Jews at all. This tells us that both of these assemblies (Smyrna & Philadelphia) are either from the Tribe of Yahuwdah (Judah) by DNA or they simply identify with the House of Yahuwdah because of their obedience to Towrah.
Any stranger from the gentile nations can join the tribe of their choosing according to Ezekiel 47:22-23 simply by “sojourning” with that particular tribe.
Any stranger from the gentile nations can join the tribe of their choosing according to Ezekiel 47:22-23 simply by “sojourning” with that particular tribe.
In the case of “born-again” believers in Messiah, we are “sojourning” (walking with) “The Lion of the Tribe of Yahuwdah” (Judah), which means that we are “Yahuwdiym” (Jews) inwardly by circumcision of the heart (Romans 2:28-29).
Out of seven congregations (typified as seven women) that were addressed in the first three chapters of Revelation, the only ones who were found to be “virgins” are Smyrna and Philadelphia, and these are the only two congregations that our Mashiyach compares with Yahuwdiym, (Jews). This tells us that the “over-comers” are the true “Yahuwdiym” (Jews) for they obey the Towrah!

But, why does Yahuwshuwa promise to Philadelphia that they will have “an open door” while Smyrna has to remain here for “ten days” to suffer tribulation? It is because Philadelphia did not “deny his name!”
The same thing is said about the “144,000” in Revelation 14:4 for these have their “Father’s name written in their foreheads.” The reason why is because Philadelphia “keeps the word” of Yahuwshuwa.
In other words, they obey the entire counsel of Scripture (Old & New Testament). They obey Towrah, and they know his true name!
In other words, they obey the entire counsel of Scripture (Old & New Testament). They obey Towrah, and they know his true name!
But this is not said of Smyrna. I have a very strong hunch that the Congregation of Smyrna may be Yahuwdiym (Jews) who obey Towrah, but they have not accepted Yahuwshuwa as their Messiah yet.
Even though they have good “works,” they are still without the blood “covering” or atonement of Mashiyach and this is why their oil lamps were not filled with oil (symbolic of the Holy Spirit) at the catching away of the bride. However, Philadelphia has “an open door” to escape the wrath of Elohiym:

However, Philadelphia has “an open door” to escape the wrath of Elohiym:
1st Tas’loniqiym (Thessalonians) 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
This event is commonly referred to as “The Rapture” which is a Latin word that means the same thing as “harpazo” in Greek. This word “harpazo” is translated as “caught up” in the following verses:
1st Tas’loniqiym (Thessalonians) 4:
15 For this we say unto you by the word of YHWH, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of YHWH shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For YHWH himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of Elohiym: and the dead in Mashiyach (Messiah) shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up (harpazo) together with them in the clouds, to meet YHWH in the air: and so shall we ever be with YHWH.
You will notice that both congregations, (Smyrna & Philadelphia) are commended for their “works,” but Philadelphia also honors the true name of our Mashiyach, which is Yahuwshuwa (not Jesus). Could it be that Smyrna does not know his name yet? Perhaps they know only the Father as YaHuWaH, but they do not know him as the Son, Yahuwshuwa. In 1st John 2:23, we are told that whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either:
1st Yahuwchanon (John) 2:23 Whosoever denies the Son, the same has not the Father: he that acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
We must then ask ourselves “How can the Congregation of Smyrna be saved if they do not have the Son yet?” The Apostle Sha’uwl (Paul) spoke about this mystery:
1st Timotiyos (Timothy) 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
The “woman” in Revelation 12 is “Jerusalem,” the mother of us all (Galatians 4:26).
The Apostle Sha’uwl (Paul) likened Jerusalem to Sarah because she was like Rachel who was also barren for a time. Leah, on the other hand was fruitful. This woman in the last days becomes fruitful, and “gives birth to a man-child,” who is then “caught up” to meet YaHuWaH in the air!
The “man-child” is the Congregation of Philadelphia who is given “an open door” on the Feast of Trumpets at the end of the tribulation period of 1,260 days (3 ½ years).

This “woman” represents the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the last days (see Isaiah 66:7-14). In Zechariah 13:8-9, we read that “two-thirds” of the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the last days will be destroyed, and only “one-third” will be saved.
I believe that the “one-third” who will be saved, is the Congregation of Smyrna, the same “woman” being referred to in Revelation 12.
She is taken into a safe place for 1,260 days. And then finally, during the last “ten days” of these 1,260 days, she will be saved “through child-bearing” when she gives birth to the “man-child.”
This “woman” in Revelation 12 has a crown of twelve stars for the “Twelve Tribes of Yisra’el.”
This “woman” in Revelation 12 has a crown of twelve stars for the “Twelve Tribes of Yisra’el.”
But the dragon drew “one-third” of these stars with his tail and cast them to the earth, hoping to devour her child as soon as he is born. But instead, the woman’s child is caught up to heaven where he is changed into immortality. During this same period of time, the woman is given wings as an eagle so that she can flee into the wilderness where she is nourished there for “A time, and times and a half a time.”
It was Eve, the “woman” who first sinned in the Garden and so when we see Yisra’el being described in her “unrenewed” state, she is always described “A woman.”
1st Timotiyos (Timothy) 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
1st Timotiyos (Timothy) 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
Nevertheless, in her “renewed” and resurrected state, she then becomes “The man-child” who has “put off the old man” (Colossians 3:9) and she will “put on the new man” (Colossians 3:10).
When the bride is resurrected, she is then referred to as “the man-child,” for she is renewed in the “image” of Messiah!
Qolasiym (Colossians) 3:
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Romiyim (Romans) 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
As we can see from the above passages, the “old man” represents the old sinful nature of Adam & Eve. But the “new man” represents our Messiah who is the “last Adam.”
1st Qorintiyim (Corinthians) 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Mashiyach (Messiah) shall all be made alive.
1st Qorintiyim (Corinthians) 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Seven Women, Ten Virgins & Two Brides
In all of his rebuking to the other five assemblies, Yahuwshuwa pointed out that they were lacking in something. But with Smyrna & Philadelphia, they were both commended for their “works,” which means that they “keep the commandments” (Towrah). But the other congregations were rebuked for their lack of good works and their tolerance of false doctrines and pagan idolatry.
Philadelphia is promised an “open door” to escape, but Smyrna must suffer tribulation for the last “ten days” (at the tail-end of 1,260 days of tribulation). Therefore, Philadelphia represents the “five wise virgins” whose oil lamps are filled when the bridegroom comes, as they are filled with the Ruwach ha’Qodesh (Holy Spirit).
Philadelphia possesses both, “Spirit & Truth,” or in other words they obey Towrah, called “The book of truth” (Psalms 119:142). The five books of the Mosaic Law is why they are represented by the number “5.”

In addition to being obedient to the Towrah, they also have the indwelling of the Ruwach (Spirit) represented by the oil. The are called virgins, because they are “undefiled” by Jezebel’s religion.
These have all three elements that are needed in a covenant relationship, which is “The spirit, the water and the blood” (1st John 5:7-8). The water represents the “word,” because in Ephesians 5:26, Sha’uwl (Paul) wrote that the bride is “washed by the water of word.”
Philadelphia does not allow pagan mixture, nor false doctrines into her worship. She is made “clean” through the spoken word (John 15:3). She also has received the blood atonement of our Messiah, and that qualifies her to have the indwelling of the Ruwach ha’Qodesh (Holy Spirit).

Philadelphia are the same ones described in Revelation 14, as these “Follow the lamb wherever he goes,” and they have “Washed their garments in the blood of the lamb.” This is why they are given “an open door” to escape into the wedding.
However, Smyrna represents “The five foolish virgins,” who are not ready when the bridegroom comes on Yom Teruw’ah (Day of Trumpets). But, ten days later on Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), they will be ready to receive their Mashiyach (Messiah), at the Mount of Olives.
Even though they are “sealed” in advance in the foreheads for the day of redemption (Ezekiel 9:1-11 & Revelation 7:1-8), they must “Suffer tribulation for ten days.”
In the parable of the “ten virgins,” all of them are referred to as “virgins,” because they are undefiled by the “That woman Jezebel,” and her false religion of Ba’al worship (Revelation 2:20, 14:4).
The reason why there are ten of these virgins, is because the number “10” represents “The Ten Commandments,” as well as the “Ten Northern Tribes of Yisra’el,” who had been divorced by Yah in Jeremiah 3:8.
However, after Yahuwshuwa died for the sins of humanity, these “Ten Lost Tribes” were restored back to the covenant by the blood of the lamb, but they are still scattered throughout the nations.
These “Ten Virgins” will ultimately be gathered from the nations, when Messiah returns, because they have come out of “MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” (Revelation 17:5).
Smyrna & Philadelphia are undefiled by pagan mixture, and they both obey the Mosaic Law (Towrah). This is why each of these groups are called “five virgins.” However, only one group (Philadelphia) has the oil in their lamps, symbolized by the indwelling of the Ruwach ha’Qodesh (Holy Spirit).
The Number “Ten” Represents the Nations
In Genesis 10-11, we read that Nimrod built the Tower of Babel and there were “ten provinces” to his empire in the land of Shinar.
When YaHuWaH divided the languages of the nations, he also caused the “earth to be divided” and then Nimrod’s “ten provinces” were spread out over the earth as “seven continents” of the world.
When YaHuWaH divided the languages of the nations, he also caused the “earth to be divided” and then Nimrod’s “ten provinces” were spread out over the earth as “seven continents” of the world.
This is known as “Pangaea” where the continents split up and spread out over the entire earth. All of the continents at one time were one large landmass. To learn more, see my other blog: Is Pangaea a Biblical Concept?
However, after the flood in Noah’s day, YaHuWaH separated this landmass into “seven continents,” and he set a rainbow in the sky promising not to flood the earth again:
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 10:25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 10:25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.
The number “10” represents the nations, and the number “7” represents “covenant.”
From these “seven continents” of the earth, “ten virgins” are selected from the “ten horns on the beast” (Daniel 7:7, Revelation 13:1), for they have “come out of the harlot” (Revelation 18:4).
Out of these “ten virgins,” five of them are wise and five are foolish. However, at the end of these “ten days” of tribulation, the other five virgins will be made wise, thus all ten virgins will be narrowed down into “two brides,” who will then be made only “one bride” on Yom Kippur when the bridegroom makes them both one!

The Mystery of Smyrna & Philadelphia Revealed
At the time when this revelation was given to the Apostle Yahuwchanon (John) in about 96 A.D., there were seven congregations in Asia Minor, and John was instructed to write letters to each of them with a direct message from our Messiah, Yahuwshuwa. Five of these congregations had faults and only two of them were found to be blameless. The messages to each of these assemblies have a threefold meaning:
First of all, each letter has a primary association, having a local and direct bearing upon the assembly to which it was written. Each letter was a measuring rod by which each congregation could know its standing in the sight of the resurrected Mashiyach, Yahuwshuwa.
Secondly, each letter has a personal application. Even though Messiah addresses each assembly as a whole, the message to “overcome” is addressed to the individual.
Thirdly, each congregation (individually), as well as all seven congregations collectively, are given a prophetic anticipation of what to expect for their good works, or their failure to overcome.
We see in them seven eras of the life of the bride of Messiah on earth for the duration of seven millennia (from the creation until the second coming). Seven is the number of perfection, completion, fullness and covenant.
In these letters we have a prophetic picture of the body of Messiah’s complete history on earth. In today’s prophetic understanding of who these congregations are, we know that they no longer represent congregations that existed at the time of John’s letters in the first century.

However we can take the meaning of the names of these congregations and derive understanding as to the characteristics of these congregations. Below, I have listed these seven congregations and the meaning of their names:
Ephesus: “to let go, relax; permitted.”
Smyrna: “strengthened for myrrh.”
Pergamos: “fortified, tower, castle; height, elevation.”
Thyatira: “ruled by a woman” this is also Queen Jezebel’s hometown Tyre in Phoenicia; hence ruled by Jezebel; it also means “odor of affliction, burning incense.”
Sardis: “red ones.”
Philadelphia: “brotherly love; kindness, affection.”
Laodecia: “judgment, vengeance or punishment of the people.”
Laodecia: “judgment, vengeance or punishment of the people.”
Also see my other blog: What is the Testimony of Messiah?
We can learn a lot from these “types” of congregations by the meanings of their names, and we can also see that our Messiah’s rebuke or commendation to each of them matches the meanings of their names.
To the Congregation at Ephesus, we can see that their name means “to relax” the commandments as they became “permissive,” and they lost their first love for Messiah (Revelation 2:1-6).
To the Congregation at Pergamos, Yahuwshuwa’s rebuke to them included the fact that they tolerated the doctrine of “Balaam” and the doctrine of the “Nicolaitanes.” Their name means “fortified, height elevation,” because Balak took Baalam to all of the “high places” of worship unto Ba’al (Numbers 22:41; 23:3) The very name of “Pergamos” means that they compromise with pagan idolatry or they tolerate those who do (Revelation 2:12-16).
Now unto the Congregation of Thyatira, it is interesting that their name means “ruled by a woman.”
Yahuwshuwa’s rebuke for them is that they “tolerate that woman Jezebel,” and her false religion of Ba’al worship. Jezebel’s hometown is Tyre in Phoenicia, hence the name “Thya-Tyre” (Revelation 2:18-24).
The Congregation of Sardis was rebuked because they had a reputation for being “alive” or “on fire,” but they were spiritually dead; hence, the meaning of their name “red ones.” Yahuwshuwa found their “works” to be imperfect (Revelation 3:1-4).
This reminds us of modern-day Charismatic & Pentecostal Churches, who claim to be on fire for Messiah, but they do not fully obey the Mosaic Law, or Towrah. They falsely teach and believe that the Mosaic Law is “Not for the New Covenant believer.”
The Congregation of Laodicea was rebuked for being “lukewarm, neither cold nor hot.” They obviously became dependent on their financial wealth, and had no real need for the presence of YaHuWaH in their congregation.
This is why Yahuwshuwa said to them: “Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.”
The meaning of their name is “judgment, vengeance, punishment of the people” which is why he warned them that he would “spue them out of his mouth” if they did not repent (Revelation 3:14-18).
Now, let’s discuss the two “overcoming” congregations to which Yahuwshuwa made a sharp contrast with those who merely “Say that they are Jews, but are not.”
This means that the only two congregations whom he found faithful were those who obey Towrah. As I already mentioned, the Apostle Sha’uwl (Paul) defined what a true Yahuwdiy (Jew) is when he said that “Their hearts are inwardly circumcised” and that they “obey the Towrah” (Romans 2:26-29).
Even though Smyrna is in Greece, and Philadelphia is in Asia Minor, I believe that “Smyrna & Philadelphia” are describing certain “types” of believers, and not necessarily ones that existed in this era or geographic location.
The names of these two congregations give us a clue because their names identify their characteristics. Let’s see what Smyrna means in the Greek Strong’s Concordance:
#4666. smurna smoor’-nah apparently strengthened for 3464; myrrh:--myrrh.
#3464. muron moo’-ron probably of foreign origin (compare 4753, 4666); “myrrh,” i.e. (by implication) perfumed oil:--ointment.
*Note: Myrrh, is a spice that is used for purification and for embalming dead bodies. Esther prepared herself with “myrrh” for six months before going to meet her king, her husband (Esther 2:12).
The Hebrew word for “myrrh” is as follows:
#3910. lot lote probably from 3874; a gum (from its sticky nature), probably ladanum:--myrrh.
*Note: The root word for “lot” (myrrh) in Hebrew is “luwt” which means “a veil, covering” and this is Yom Kippur language!
#3874. luwt loot a primitive root; to wrap up:--cast, wrap.
#3875. lowt lote from 3874; a veil:--covering.
The word for “atonement” in Hebrew is “kippur” which is a plural word for the singular word “kaphar” (#3723) and it has another root word “kaphar” (#3722). Both words mean the following: “ransom, redemption price, to cover, satisfied, covered, to cancel, to appease, to make atonement, cleanse, forgive.”
Another related word is “kapporeth” (#3727) which means: “a lid to cover the Ark of the Covenant or the mercy seat.”
Another related word is “kapporeth” (#3727) which means: “a lid to cover the Ark of the Covenant or the mercy seat.”
From the definition of these names, we understand that the Congregation at Smyrna represents the “five foolish virgins” who are not ready to go into the marriage on “Yom Teruw’ah” or “The Feast of Trumpets,” because their oil lamps are not filled.
Oil is a metaphor for the anointing of the Holy Spirit in scripture, since it is the pure olive oil that keeps the seven-branch menorah lit in the temple (Exodus 25:6, 29:7; Zechariah 4:12).
However, the “five foolish virgins” are “sealed in the foreheads” in advance, thus they will be “covered” on the Day of Atonement. Like Esther, they will purify themselves during “The Ten Days of Awe” with “oil” of myrrh to be ready to meet their bridegroom.
The Congregation at Philadelphia is typified in the “five wise virgins” who had oil in their lamps to light their path to go and meet the bridegroom. The meaning of their name indicates that they are “filled” with love for their Messiah and for one another:
#5360. philadelphia fil-ad-el-fee’-ah from 5361; fraternal affection:--brotherly love (kindness), love of the brethren.
Philadelphia means “brotherly love” and this is the characteristic that is most desirable to our Mashiyach. It is because they obey the two greatest of all commandments that they are accounted worthy to escape through the “open door” at the end of the tribulation of 1,260 days.
Smyrna is identified as the bride who is willing to “prepare” to meet the bridegroom during these “ten days of tribulation.” She may not have had oil in her lamp at the catching way of the bride on the Feast of Trumpets; but in those final ten days (leading up to Yom Kippur), she will have anointed herself like Esther with myrrh to meet the bridegroom. Myrrh is also a powerful detoxifier and it cleanses the body from impurities and disease.
Because many in the Congregation of Smyrna will lose their lives and be martyred for their obedience to Towrah, it is fitting that their very name means “strengthened for myrrh.”
Because many in the Congregation of Smyrna will lose their lives and be martyred for their obedience to Towrah, it is fitting that their very name means “strengthened for myrrh.”
Since myrrh is what was used in those days to embalm dead bodies, they will be “strengthened” spiritually during these ten days so that they will be “faithful unto death” and then they will have their bodies anointed and embalmed with myrrh.
This also has to do also with “death to the old sinful nature” and not merely a physical death.
This also has to do also with “death to the old sinful nature” and not merely a physical death.
When we see the term “The last trump” in 1st Corinthians 15:52, Sha’uwl (Paul) was not merely speaking of “The last trumpet” on the Feast of Trumpets or Yom Teruw’ah.
For even though the first bride typified in Leah goes into the wedding first at the “last trumpet” on Yom Teruw’ah, there is yet another “last trumpet” for the other bride typified in Rachel on Yom Kippur:
Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 25:9 Then shall you cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall you make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
Every 50th year, the Towrah commands that there be a cancellation of debts. Yisra’elites who had lost their inheritance due to financial hardship through being widowed, would then be able to redeem their land and their inheritance on this day. In the case of unconverted Yisra’el, she was divorced for her harlotry with idols, and then scattered to the nations (Jeremiah 3:8).
Yisra’el later crucified her own Messiah (the bridegroom), her husband, thereby making her a widow (Isaiah 54:4). Nevertheless, when she “suffers tribulation” during “The Ten Days of Awe,” she will go through labor pains giving birth to the “man-child” or “The one new man” (Ephesians 2:15).
Through child-bearing Yisra’el will be saved (1st Timothy 2:15). She will be like Tamar who gave birth to twins when Yahuwdah (Judah), became her “Kinsman Redeemer.” The story of Judah & Tamar is a prophetic shadow picture of Yisra’el giving birth to the man-child (one new man) consisting of both houses.
The fact that it was Judah who was the kinsman redeemer for Tamar, was a foreshadowing of “The Lion of the Tribe of Judah,” who will redeem unconverted Yisra’el, and restore the land of her inheritance.
See my other article entitled “The Father & the Son Seen in Judah, the Kinsman Redeemer.”

We have learned by now that Smyrna was told in Revelation 2:10 that she will have to “suffer tribulation ten days.”
And what do these “ten days of tribulation” signify?
In order to understand the typology being presented here, we have to go back to the Towrah, and find out what the number ten represents in scripture.

Two Brides Typified in Leah & Rachel
There are two brides that Ya’aqob (Jacob) married. Leah represents Ten-Tribe Ephrayim or Gentiles (symbolized by the heifer or cow) and Rachel represents Two-Tribe Yahuwdah (Judah or Jews) symbolized by the lambs or goats. Leah’s name even means “cow” and Rachel’s name means “lamb.”
Here is a commentary on the name Leah I found at several baby name websites:
Here is a commentary on the name Leah I found at several baby name websites:
From the Hebrew name לֵאָה (Le’ah) which was probably derived from the Hebrew word לְאָה (le’ah) meaning “weary.” Alternatively it might be related to Akkadian littu meaning “cow.” The Hebrew Strong’s Concordance says the following about the root word for the name Leah:
#3811 la’ah law-aw' a primitive root; to tire; (figuratively) to be (or make) disgusted:--faint, grieve, lothe, (be, make) weary (selves).
Leah typifies the first group of “born-again” believers who will be “caught up” to meet YaHuWaH in the air on the “Feast of Trumpets” (Yom Teruw’ah) as seen in 1st Thessalonians 4:17. Leah was married first to Ya’aqob (Jacob) and they celebrated a “seven-day honeymoon.” When Jacob realized that he was tricked into marrying Leah instead of his beloved Rachel, Laban said this to him:
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 29:27 Fulfil her week, and we will give you this also for the service which you shall serve with me yet seven other years.
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 29:28 And Ya’aqob (Jacob) did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
As you can see, Ya’aqob (Jacob) married Leah first and then they had a “seven-day” wedding and at the end of the week, he was also married to Rachel but he agreed to work an additional seven years afterwards. In Ezekiel 39:9-10 there are going to be seven years of burning weapons during the Millennium, and I believe that this correlates to the last seven years that Ya’aqob (Jacob) worked for Rachel.
Ya’aqob (Jacob) working seven years for Leah is symbolic of the “seven-year” ministry of Yahuwshuwa that was cut in half to only 3 ½ years at his first coming. Even though his ministry is for seven years, “in the midst of the week” he caused “the sacrifice and the oblation to cease” to be acceptable before the Father in Heaven (Daniel 9:27).
The latter part of his seven-year ministry for Leah will be fulfilled by his “Two Witnesses” in Revelation 11:3-4, as they will prophesy for 1,260 days (3 ½ years). Concurrently, the reign of Anti-Messiah will take place 42 months or 3 ½ years (Revelation 13:5), during which, he will speak blasphemies against the Most High.
In John 1:11 it says that Messiah Yahuwshuwa “came for his own, but his own received him not.” Rachel symbolizes the one whom Jacob loved and wanted to marry, but when he came for her, she did not receive him because it was Leah instead.
Rachel symbolizes the “House of Yahuwdah” (Judah), and the reason why Yahuwshuwa preferred them over the other “Ten Northern Tribes of Yisra’el,” is because they were keeping the prophetic Feasts of YaHuWaH, or what is called “mowediym” in Hebrew. The House of Yahuwdah (Judah) may not recognize their Messiah yet, but they honor his feasts which are a “sign” of his covenant (Exodus 31:31, Ezekiel 20:12; 20:20).

Yahuwshuwa came to marry a woman from his own tribe---the Tribe of Yahuwdah (Judah), even though they did not receive him at his first coming. The House of Yahuwdah (Judah) possessed the land of Yisra’el, and Jerusalem at the time when Messiah came to earth, therefore, they could only be married to one from their own tribe according to the Towrah:
Bemidbar (Numbers) 36:8 And every daughter, that possesses an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Yisra’el, shall be wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her father, that the children of Yisra’el may enjoy every man the inheritance of his fathers.
Bemidbar (Numbers) 36:9 Neither shall the inheritance remove from one tribe to another tribe; but every one of the tribes of the children of Yisra’el shall keep himself to his own inheritance.
As we can see, the bride must marry into the same tribe of her Heavenly Father. Our Heavenly Father’s name is YaHuWaH, and the name of his tribe is YaHuWDaH (Judah).
The name Yahuwdah (Judah) is the same as the Father’s only with the added letter “dalet,” which is equivalent to the English Letter “D.” The letter dalet, literally means “The door,” and it is the fourth letter in the Hebrew Alphabet. Our Messiah is called “The door of the sheep” (John 10:7), and Judah was the fourth son born to Leah & Jacob.
Jacob’s beloved bride Rachel typifies the House of Judah, because her body was buried in Bethlehem-Judah after she died giving birth to Benjamin. After the House of Yisra’el split off from the House of Judah, (and became two separate nations), the Two Southern Tribes of Judah & Benjamin remained together as one kingdom.
In Hebrews 7:14 the royal priesthood of Melchizedek is from the Tribe of Yahuwdah (Judah). When Jacob’s sons went to buy grain in Egypt, they were reunited with their lost brother Yahuwceph (Joseph). Joseph sent his brothers back home to get his younger brother Benjamin.

At first, Ya’aqob (Jacob) did not want to let Benjamin go, because he feared that he would be killed. It was Yahuwdah (Judah) who stepped in to save the day when he promised that he would become “surety” for Benjamin. Judah promised to “bear the blame forever” if anything bad were to happen to Benjamin (Genesis 43:8-9). Ever since this oath, Judah & Benjamin have remained together.
When all twelves tribes were united under King David & Solomon, they were under “The Scepter of Judah,” and they were considered “Yahuwdiym” (Jews). However, in 1st Kings 12, when the Ten Northern Tribes broke away from the Kingdom of Judah under Solomon’s son Rehoboam, they were no longer Yahuwdiym (Jews). Instead, they were simply called “Yisra’el.”
Rachel’s son Benjamin remained with big brother Judah as part of the Southern Kingdom. In this prophecy, we see that “Rachel’s children” are in “Ramah” a town in Bethlehem-Judah:
Mattithyahuw (Matthew) 2:18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
Yirmeyahuw (Jeremiah) 31:15 Thus says YHWH; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.
Rachel symbolizes the House of Yahuwdah (Judah) because that is where her body was buried when she died:
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 35:19 And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.
Interestingly, the place where Rachel was buried (Ephrath) has a meaning that is analogous to her lack of children as compared to Leah:
#672. Ephrath or Ephratah = “ash-heap: place of fruitfulness.”
But this word “Ephrath” comes from another root word below that means just the opposite:
#6509 parah paw-raw’ a primitive root; to bear fruit (literally or figuratively):--bear, bring forth (fruit), (be, cause to be, make) fruitful, grow, increase.
This means that Rachel was buried in Bethlehem-Judah as a “seed” in the ground, and when she gives birth to the “man-child” (Ephrayim & Judah), she will be saved as described in 1st Timothy 2:15.
Leah’s son, Judah became “The keeper of Benjamin forever” (Genesis 43:8-9) thus, Judah became a son of Rachel by proxy. Also, Yahuwdah (Judah) was the one who was against the plot to kill Yahuwceph (Joseph) as we read in the account in Genesis 37:27.
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 35:19 And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.

Therefore, Judah became dear to Rachel as one of her own sons, because he saved both Joseph and Benjamin’s life, whereas Leah’s sons plotted to kill Joseph and then sell him as a slave. This is why Rachel symbolizes the “Two Southern Tribes of Judah.”
Leah symbolizes the “Ten Northern Tribes of the House of Ephrayim” because after Rachel died, she became the mother of all the sons of Jacob, except for Judah & Benjamin.
Zilphah & Bilhah Symbolic of Two Candlesticks & Gentile Companions
Leah gave birth to six sons of her own, and one daughter (Dinah), and then she had two more sons by her concubine Zilpah. Rachel’s two sons by her maid Bilhah were also included in the ones who plotted against her son Joseph. The dream that Joseph had in Genesis 37:9 revealed that all “eleven” of his brothers were going to bow down to him, and thus, Joseph (the son of Rachel) inherited the “double portion” meaning all the sons of Jacob from Rachel & Leah (including their concubines).
Hence, the ten sons of Jacob by Leah, Bilhah & Zilpah are inclusive of the “Ten Northern Tribes of the House of Ephrayim.” What is also interesting is that the name “Bilhah” in Hebrew means “troubled, vexed, to tremble, be afraid.” Therefore, Rachel’s handmaiden is in company with the bride who typifies Smyrna, for she will have tribulation for ten days.
The name “Zilpah” means “to trickle like myrrh, to be fragrant,” therefore, she (being a handmaiden of Leah), also typifies Philadelphia as the bride whose oil lamp is filled with fragrant oil.
These ten sons of Leah, Bilhah, and Zilpah were the ones who plotted to kill Yahuwceph (Joseph). Joseph is a prophetic “type” of Messiah, and therefore, we see the similarly with Yahuwshuwa also being rejected by Yisra’el at his first coming. It was after this, that his gospel was given to the Gentiles.

Ya’aqob (Jacob) is also a prophetic “type” of Messiah, and his first bride typified in Leah represents all those who are “born-again” from above, regardless if they are Jewish or Gentile believers. Why does Leah typify the “born-again” bride?
In Genesis 49:31, we read that Jacob was buried with Leah, but Rachel was not buried there with him! What does this symbolize?
Romiyim (Romans) 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Mashiyach (Messiah) was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Qolasiym (Colossians) 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also you are risen with him through the faith of the operation of Elohiym, who has raised him from the dead.
The true bride of Messiah “buried with him in baptism” and she has his “Fathers name written on her forehead!” (Revelation 14:4).
In Daniel 12:1 the angel spoke to Daniel about “a time of trouble,” in which the elect will be raised up to everlasting life. This is the same event known as “The Great Tribulation” (Matthew 24:21) or “Jacob’s Time of Trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7). Jacob had a total of 20 years of “trouble” as he worked for Laban who changed his wages “ten times.”
There is no coincidence here that Jacob’s trouble was multiplied ten times in twenty years. It is because he had two wives and double the trouble. He would later give his son Joseph “a double portion” for all his trouble (Genesis 48:22). In the future, redeemed Yisra’el shall also “possess the double,” as repayment for all their “shame and confusion” (Isaiah 61:7).
Jacob worked a total of 14 years for both brides, and then another 6 years for Laban’s cattle totaling 20 years of “trouble” (Genesis 31:41). To read more about this, see my article entitled: “Jacob’s Time of Trouble & Daniel’s 70th Week.”

The final 3 ½ years out of these 20 years of Jacob’s trouble will culminate with the ministry of the Two Witnesses which will last for 3 ½ years or 1,260 days (Revelation 11:3).
However, the final “ten days” of this time of trouble is more accurately depicted as a time of “sister rivalry” between these two brides. Sha’uwl (Paul) hinted about this rivalry in Romans 11:11 where he prophesies about how the salvation of the Gentiles is meant to provoke Yisra’el to jealousy. In the same way that Leah provoked Rachel to jealousy (by having more children), the House of Judah will also be provoked to jealousy when they see how fruitful the gentiles have become in preaching the gospel of Messiah.
Thus, Leah represents the House of Ephrayim (born-again gentiles) that are buried in baptism with their Messiah!
Sister Rivalry
In the original story of these two sisters, Leah provoked Rachel to jealousy because she bore children, while Rachel remained barren and childless for a season. This was not only a “time of trouble” for Jacob, but also a time of trouble for Rachel, for she was in anguish over the fact that her sister Leah was fruitful, and she was not.

This was not only a “time of trouble” for Jacob, but also a time of trouble for Rachel, for she was in anguish over the fact that her sister Leah was fruitful, and she was not.
Interestingly, the Hebrew word for this period called a “time of trouble” in Daniel 12:1 is as follows:
#6869 tsarah tsaw-raw’ feminine of 6862; tightness (i.e. figuratively, trouble); transitively, a female rival:--adversary, adversity, affliction, anguish, distress, tribulation, trouble.
Leah felt unloved by Ya’aqob (Jacob) because she knew that he loved Rachel, and so YaHuWaH looked with compassion on Leah and gave her more children. This caused Rachel to become jealous as this was troublesome to her:
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 30:1 And when Rachel saw that she bare Ya’aqob (Jacob) no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Ya’aqob (Jacob), Give me children, or else I die.
Here we see Rachel (the House of Judah or Jews) being provoked to jealousy!
The word for “trouble” in Hebrew is “tsarah” and it refers to the rivalry between Rachel & Leah; and this is precisely what the Hebrew word for “awe” really means!
Strong’s Hebrew Concordance for the word “awe:”
#7264: ragaz: to quiver with violent emotion, especially anger and fear; be afraid, stand in awe; fall out, quake, shake, tremble, trouble.
Leah was buried with Jacob because Leah represents the bride who was un-loved at first, but later on she was loved by her husband because of her faithfulness. In Genesis 31, we discover that Rachel had stolen her father Laban’s idols and took them with her and she hid them.
When Laban chased down the clan of Ya’aqob (Jacob), he demanded that whoever had stolen his idols would return them. Ya’aqob (Jacob) did not know that Rachel had done this, and so he declared that anyone who had any hidden idols would not live:
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 31:32 With whomsoever you find your gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern you what is yours with me, and take it to you. For Ya’aqob (Jacob) knew not that Rachel had stolen them.
Not too long after this, we read in Genesis 35:17-19 that Rachel died in child-bearing giving birth to “Binyamiyn” (Benjamin) which means “son of my right hand.” Rachel had originally named him “Benoni” which means “son of my sorrow” but Ya’aqob (Jacob) renamed him. Rachel was buried in “Bethlehem-Judah” (Genesis 35:19) and this is why Rachel typifies the Tribe of Yahuwdah (Judah).
In other words, Rachel (symbolic of the the kingdom of Judah) will be saved after she gives birth to this “man-child” who rules and reigns all nations with Messiah. I feel certain that Rachel repented on her death-bed when she had such a difficult labor giving birth to Benjamin.

She probably realized that her pain and anguish was due to the fact that she had stolen her father’s idols and had hidden them from her husband. This means that Rachel was “saved in child-bearing,” (1st Timothy 2:12), because her sorrow shows that she was genuinely sorry for her sins.
Thus we see that Leah represents the five wise virgins for they are buried with their Messiah in baptism (Romans 6:4). These wise virgins are ready to die for their bridegroom “for they love not their lives even unto death” (Revelation 12:11).
Ten Days of Awe for Smyrna
In Revelation 2:10, we read that the Congregation at Smyrna will have to suffer tribulation for ten day. Some have argued that no such term “Ten Days of Awe” appears in scripture. However, as with everything else related to Yom Kippur, the phrase is actually there, but it is “hidden, covered up!”
As we have already seen, the Hebrew word for “awe,” is
As we have already seen, the Hebrew word for “awe,” is
“ragaz,” and it means the following:
“To quiver (with any violent emotion, especially anger or fear):--be afraid, stand in awe, disquiet, fall out, fret, move, provoke, quake, rage, shake, tremble, trouble, be wroth.”
As you can see, all these definitions are describing troublesome emotions, hence the same thing as “tribulation!”
Trouble Because of Sibling Rivalry
The law of first mention would have us look at the first time this word is used in scripture:

Trouble Because of Sibling Rivalry
The law of first mention would have us look at the first time this word is used in scripture:
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 45:
However, with Joseph, everything in his life was doubled, being the first to inherit a double portion inheritance (Genesis 48:22). In verse 24, we read that Joseph said to his brothers “See that you fall not out by the way.” The words “fall not out” is the Hebrew word “ragaz” or “awe!”
45:22 To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment.
45:23 And to his father he sent after this manner; ten donkeys laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.
45:24 So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that you fall not out [ragaz] by the way.
The above scenario is describing a troubling time for Jacob, for he had to send his youngest son, Benjamin to Egypt with the other nine brothers (totaling ten brothers in all) in order to buy grain, and to redeem Simeon who was being held in custody by Joseph.
You will notice that Joseph (a type of Messiah) sent the brothers back to home his father, and he gave Benjamin “five” changes of clothing (a hint of the five wise virgins). Joseph also sent to his father, Jacob, “ten” male donkeys and “ten” female donkeys, which is another hint of the ten virgins, and the ten days of awe.
In other words, Joseph was telling them not to be in awe, or to be troubled, and the final part of his statement “by the way” is the Hebrew word “derek,” which means “a road, a path taken, a way of life.” In this scenario, the ten brothers journeyed to Egypt to meet Joseph and to by grain, and also to redeem Simeon. The ten brothers are like the ten virgins, and their journey was like the “ten days of awe.” The missing brother (Simeon), his name means “to hear, to understand, to perceive, to obey.”
Simeon is a symbol of Yisra’el, for they were known to be hard of hearing, and they would not obey the Towrah. It was only after Joseph (symbolic of Messiah) redeemed Simeon, that they gained their ability to see and to hear. They were given the revelation that Joseph was their long lost brother whom they had cast into the pit, and they were sorry for their sins.
As we have already observed, the Hebrew word ragaz (awe) literally means: “tribulation, trouble” and it is synonymous “sibling rivalry.” In the same way that Leah & Rachel were in rivalry with one another (by competing for the love and affection of their husband), so the sons of these two sisters learned the same rivalry. They were jealous over their father Jacob’s favoritism towards Joseph, and this caused a breach (a division) in the family. And this division has continued to this day, as it was passed down through the generations.
In Ephesians 2:14-15, the Apostle Shaul (Paul) explained this same rivalry that exists between Yahuwdiym (Jews) and those who are in the nations (Gentiles).
Ephesians 2:14 For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Ephesians 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity [hatred, rivalry], even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of two one new man, so making peace.
We see then that Smyrna & Philadelphia are the two last contestants out of the Seven Congregations. Imagine a beauty pageant, between these two sisters (Leah & Rachel), also between (Philadelphia & Smyrna). Even though Rachel was more beautiful outwardly, Leah was more beautiful inwardly. Philadelphia has brotherly love towards one another, and they have kept his word (Towrah), and they have not denied his name.
Smyrna, has good works, yet they do not know him by name. We know this because Messiah does not commend them for not denying his name. Could it be that Smyrna represents all those Jews who faithfully obey Towrah, yet they have not accepted Yahuwshuwa as their Messiah yet?
Additionally, the House of Judah has a rule that the name of the Creator is not to be pronounced. It is for this reason, I believe that Smyrna must suffer tribulation for ten days, while Philadelphia has an open door to go into the chuppah with the bridegroom on the Feast of Trumpets.
The word for “tribulation” in Revelation 2:10 is the following word in Greek:
#2347 thlipsis: pressure, afflicted, anguish, persecution, tribulation, trouble.
And it comes from this other root word:
#2346 thlibo: to afflict, narrow, suffer tribulation, trouble.
As seen previously, the Hebrew, the word “tribulation” means the following:
#6862 tsar tsar or tsar {tsawr}; from 6887; narrow; (as a noun) a tight place (usually figuratively, i.e. trouble); also a pebble (as in 6864); (transitive) an opponent (as crowding):--adversary, afflicted(-tion), anguish, close, distress, enemy, flint, foe, narrow, small, sorrow, strait, tribulation, trouble.
#6869 tsarah tsaw-raw' feminine of 6862; tightness (i.e. figuratively, trouble); transitively, a female rival:--adversary, adversity, affliction, anguish, distress, tribulation, trouble.

This is a “tight and narrow place,” which is what a “birth canal” is. The “woman” in Revelation 12 is Jerusalem, who is yet to be redeemed on Yom Kippur at the Mount of Olives. She typifies Rachel, and she is going through labor pains, because she is about to “give birth to the man-child,” or in other words “one new man!” (Ephesians 2:15).
This same concept is seen in Ezekiel 37:16, where the “The stick of Ephraim” shall become “one stick with Judah!”
In Revelation 12, her child is “caught up” to meet Elohiym first, and then she is sent to the wilderness where she is protected, or “hidden, covered, veiled.”
Once again, we see “Yom Kippur” typology here with the concept of being “covered” or “veiled.” To this day, the Jewish people have nick-named this day of “Yom Kippur” as “face-to-face,” because it was this one time per year when the High Priest would go into the Holy of Holies “behind the veil” and come “face-to-face” with YaHuWaH!
Likewise, on that day when Yahuwshuwa returns, Rachel’s veil will be removed from her face, (and from her heart) and she will “see” her Messiah. In 2nd Corinthians 3:14-16, Apostle Sha’uwl (Paul) describes the veil as Yisra’el being blinded to their Messiah. In the previous verses, he explains that the ministry of Moses has been superseded by the ministry of Messiah which excels in glory.
He explained that the commandments given in stone resulted in condemnation and death, while the commandments written in our hearts by the Holy Spirit results in new life.
2nd Qorintiym (Corinthians) 3:
13 And not as Mosheh (Moses), which put a vail over his face, that the children of Yisra’el could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remains the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Messiah.
15 But even unto this day, when Mosheh (Moses) is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to YHWH, the vail shall be taken away.
Rachel symbolizes “Old Covenant Yisra’el” whose eyes are still blinded (covered with a veil) by their inability to see their own Messiah. Nevertheless, the scales will fall away from her eyes when she will “look upon” the one whom she pierced (Zechariah 12:10). See my other note entitled “Tribulation versus Wrath.”

These ten days (inclusive of) The Feast of Trumpets & the Day of Atonement are going to bring the Yahuwdiym (Jews) who are sealed in the forehead (typified in Rachel) to finally see their Messiah through being provoked to jealousy or “sister rivalry!”
When Rachel sees that her sister Leah (born-again believers) have now been “caught up” to meet Yahuwshuwa in the air, she will suddenly realize that she did not discern her time of visitation (Jeremiah 50:27, Luke 19:44).
During these Ten Days of Awe, the bride of Messiah typified in Leah, Ephrayim & Philadelphia will be in the “chuppah” or the bridal chamber with him. Meanwhile, the bride who typifies Rachel suddenly realizes that her Messiah has now married her sister and she has missed him.

However, this will set the stage for Yahuwshuwa’s return on Yom Kippur in Revelation 19 with his army (his bride), and by this point the other bride typified in Rachel, Judah & Smyrna will be ready to see their Mashiyach “face-to-face!” (Zechariah 12:10).
Ten Days of Trouble or Ten Days of Going to Meet the Bridegroom?
Eleazar’s name means “helper” and he is a prophetic “type” of the Holy Spirit who goes ahead of the son to find a bride for him.
Isaac’s mother Sarah had died in this account, and she represents the holy city of Jerusalem (Yerushalayim), also referred to as “The mother of us all” according to Galatians 4:26. The Apostle Sha’uwl (Paul) used Sarah as an allegory of Jerusalem, and she also “died” in the Roman Siege in 70 A.D. (Ezekiel 19:11-14). Sarah’s son Yitzchaq (Isaac) was saddened by the loss of his mother.
Likewise, Yahuwshuwa Messiah wept over “Mother Jerusalem” in Matthew 23:36-38, because he knew that she would die within forty years after his death on the cross. In this Genesis 24, Eleazar found a bride for Yitzchaq (Isaac) and her name “Ribqah” (Rebekah) means “to fetter or capture by beauty.” Yitzchaq (Isaac) is like our Messiah, Yahuwshuwa who sent the Holy Spirit (typified in Eleazar) ahead of him to prepare the bride and to bring her to him:

Bereshiyth (Genesis) 24:53 And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Ribqah (Rebekah): he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.
*Note: Here is a prophetic picture of the bridegroom, Yahuwshuwa Messiah sending gifts of precious stones and a wedding garment in advance for his bride before he arrives via the Holy Spirit. Isaiah 54:10-11 prophecies about the day when YaHuWaH will restore Yisra’el as his bride and he will give her jewels.
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 24:54 And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master.
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 24:55 And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go.
*Note: Here, Rebekah’s family ask her to remain “ten days” before going to marry Isaac and this is an allusion to Revelation 2:10 where the Congregation at Smyrna is going to go through tribulation for ten days. Eleazar (a type of the Holy Spirit) does not want to be hindered from taking the bride to the bridegroom:
Chazown (Revelation) 22:17 “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come…”
Rebekah, when asked if she would like to stay longer with her family for “ten days” is ready to go with Eleazar. Rebekah is like the bride of Mashiyach who agrees with the Holy Spirit that she wants to go and meet the bridegroom just as the above verse in Revelation 22:17 declares “let him that hears, say come.”
Rebekah heard the call to go meet her bridegroom and she agreed with Eleazar that she did not want to wait for ten days, as she was ready to go and meet the bridegroom. Unlike Rachel, who will have to suffer for ten more days before she can be with her bridegroom, Rebekah & Leah are “types” of the bride who run after the groom.
Here we see that Rebekah is like the “bride of Messiah:”
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 24:
56 And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing YHWH has prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.
57 And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth.
58 And they called Ribqah (Rebekah), and said unto her, Will you go with this man? And she said, I will go.
*Note: Here we are seeing a picture of the bride who “follows the lamb wherever he goes” as Rebekah said “I will go.”
Shir ha’Shiriym (Song of Solomon) 1:4 Draw me, we will run after you: the king has brought me into his chambers: (chuppah) we will be glad and rejoice in you, we will remember your love more than wine: the upright love you.
Here in the Song of Solomon, the Shulamite woman is a picture of the bride of Messiah (Mashiyach) and she says “we will run after you.”
The English word “chamber” here in these verses is the Hebrew word “chuppah” which is a wedding canopy:
Tehilliym (Psalm) 19:5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber (chuppah), and rejoices as a strong man to run a race.
Yow’el (Joel) 2:16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet (chuppah).
This entire language in Joel and in the Psalms speaks of the preparation of the bride for her bridegroom and the “chuppah” is the covering or wedding canopy! The closet for the bride’s preparation is her “prayer closet.”
# 2646 chuppah khoop-paw from #2645; a canopy; chamber, closet, defence.
The Hebrew root for this word is:
#2645 chaphah khaw-faw: to cover, by implication, to veil, to encase, protect.
What is interesting is that when Rebekah went to meet Isaac, she “veiled herself.”
You will notice (once again) “Yom Kippur” language and typology in the meaning of this word “chuppah,” and the root word “chaphah.” Rebekah “veiling herself” before going to meet the bridegroom gives a prophetic hint pointing to the end-time bride of Messiah.
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 24:
64 And Ribqah (Rebekah) lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Yitzqach (Isaac), she lighted off the camel.
65 For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walks in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.
*Note: Rebekah “covering herself” is Yom Kippur language! As I previously mentioned, Yom Kippur is nick-named “face-to-face” because every year the High Priest had to go behind the “veil” to come “face-to-face” to meet with YaHuWaH. He had to intercede on behalf of Yisra’el for her sins, and if he had any sin for which he had not repented of, he would die in the Holy of Holies!
At the future Day of Atonement, the bride who sufficiently sanctifies herself or “afflicts” herself will be able to come “face-to-face” with the bridegroom and she will look upon him whom she has pierced (Zechariah 12:10).
Yom Kippur is also the same day when Yahuwshuwa Messiah was circumcised as a baby boy eight days after his birth on September 11th in 3 B.C. which happened to fall on the Feast of Trumpets that year or “Yom Teruw’ah.”
The constellation seen on that night is from the prophecy of Revelation 12 as “a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars.” See my other article entitled “When Was Messiah Born & Why Does it Matter?”
The constellation seen on that night is from the prophecy of Revelation 12 as “a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars.” See my other article entitled “When Was Messiah Born & Why Does it Matter?”
Why would the Messiah be circumcised on Yom Kippur? His blood was sprinkled as an infant because his blood would later on be the blood of the lamb that would be sprinkled on the mercy seat for Yisra’el.
Hence, the blood released when his foreskin was removed is like the “veil” to our hearts that is removed when our hearts are circumcised (Deuteronomy 10:16, Jeremiah 4:4, Romans 2:28). He fulfilled all three of the Fall Feasts at his birth, for he was born on Yom Teruw’ah (Feast of Trumpets), circumcised on Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) and he also “dwelled” in a sukkah (manger) with his parents during Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles).
The Double Portion Blessing of Joseph
We can also see a foreshadowing of the “double portion inheritance” of Yahuwceph (Joseph) in his grand-mother Rebekah, for she symbolizes the bride who is ready to run after the bridegroom:
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 24:
59 And they sent away Ribqah (Rebekah) their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham’s servant, and his men.
60 And they blessed Ribqah (Rebekah), and said unto her, you are our sister, be you the mother of thousands of millions, and let your seed possess the gate of those which hate them.
The Hebrew Word for “millions” here is “rababah:”
#7231 rababah: abudance (in number) from # 7231 especially a “myriad” (whether definite or indefinite): many, million, multiply, ten thousand.
#7231 rabab: to cast together, increase, especially in number, from #7233 to multiply by the myriad.
*Note: What we are seeing here are “thousands of millions” of people in the last days that make up the “double portion inheritance” or the “multitude of nations” promised to Ephrayim in Genesis 48:19. Because of Rebekah’s obedience to the Holy Spirit (typified in Eleazar) whose name means “helper” she was prophesied to become the mother of millions of thousands!
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 24:61 And Ribqah (Rebekah) arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the servant took Ribqah (Rebekah), and went his way.
*Note: Here, Rebekah and her damsels (virgins) “followed the bridegroom!”
In Revelation 14, the bride of Messiah has washed her garments in the blood of the lamb and “she follows the lamb wherever he goes.” She not only represents a literal number of “144,000” as seen in Revelation 7, but she represents the ones who are “born-again” of incorruptible seed who then become “Renewed Covenant Yisra’el” as the multitude of nations!
The very definition of his name “Mĕnashsheh” in Hebrew literally means “to cause to forget.” And where have we read that Ancient Yisra’el of old was “forgotten?”
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 49:14 But Tziyown (Zion) said, YHWH has forsaken me, and my Master has forgotten me.
Ancient Yisra’el of Old Has Not Been Forgotten
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget you.
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 44:21 Remember these, O Ya’aqob (Jacob) and Yisra’el; for you are my servant: I have formed you; you are my servant: O Yisra’el, you shall not be forgotten of me.
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 54:4 Fear not; for you shall not be ashamed: neither be you confounded; for you shall not be put to shame: for you shall forget the shame of your youth, and shall not remember the reproach of your widowhood any more.
The woman in Revelation 12 is a picture of “Old Covenant Yisra’el” who was “forgotten,” for she was divorced, widowed, banished. Nevertheless, she is going to give birth to a corporate “man-child” also called “The one new man” in Ephesians 2:15.
The first group of “144,000” seen in Revelation 7 has a different set of characteristics than the second group of “144,000” seen in Revelation 14.
We read that the first group in Revelation 7 is “numbered” (12 thousand for each of the 12 tribes of Yisra’el).
We read that the first group in Revelation 7 is “numbered” (12 thousand for each of the 12 tribes of Yisra’el).
The first group has no identifying characteristics other than being “sealed” in the foreheads with a “mark” which is the last letter in the Hebrew Alphabet called the “Taw” (Ezekiel 9:4). The Hebrew Letter ת “Taw” is the last letter in the alphabet and this means that they are getting married “last” just like Rachel!
Then, in Revelation 14, this other group of “144,000” has their Father’s name written in their foreheads. This group is identified by the Ancient Paleo Hebrew Letter א “Alef” which means “the first” for they are the first to get married like Leah! They have also “washed their garments in the blood of the lamb” and they “follow the lamb wherever he goes.”
These characteristics are not mentioned about the first group of “144,000” in Revelation 7. It is for this reason that we can liken the Congregation at Philadelphia to the second group of “144,000” seen in Revelation 14, but we can liken the first group of “144,000” seen in Revelation 7 to the Congregation at Smyrna who are as of yet not redeemed. But Smyrna are “sealed unto the day of redemption” (Ephesians 4:30). To understand this concept, see my other article entitled: “Who Are the 144 Thousand?”
When both of these brides come together as one on Yom Kippur, then both the את “Aleph & Taw,” (the first and the last), will become one complete body of Messiah! It is for this reason that Mashiyach calls himself “the first and the last” (Revelation 1:11, 22:13). It is because he is the physical embodiment of both brides!

Is There Really Going to Be Ten Days of Awe?
In the last days, the nations will stand in “awe” of the King of Kings when he returns. This will be a time when the nations will be repenting and preparing their hearts to meet the King face-to-face! Notice in Psalm 4:4 those who stand in “awe” of his presence will be made to repent of their sins!
Tehilliym (Psalm) 4:4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
Tehilliym (Psalm) 33:8 Let all the earth fear YHWH: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
The second coming of Yahuwshuwa Mashiyach is going to take place on The Day of Atonement aka Yom Kippur, but this will also be what is termed in scripture as “The Great & Terrible Day of YaHuWaH” (Joel 2:11 & Joel 2:31). It is also called “The Day of Vengeance” (Isaiah 61:2, 63:4, Jeremiah 46:10, Luke 21:22). Another name for this day of our Messiah’s coming is termed as “The Day of Wrath” (Zephaniah 1:15-18, Romans 2:5, Revelation 6:17).
The Number “Ten” in Prophecy
What does the number “10” symbolize in the scriptures? The number “10” in scripture is always prophetically connected to The Ten Northern Tribes of Yisra’el aka Ephrayim.
Even though Leah did not give birth to Yahuwceph (Joseph), for he was Rachel’s firstborn son, Joseph’s dream revealed that his “eleven brothers” (including the sons of Leah) who betrayed him would end up serving him, and bowing down to him in the end-times (Genesis 37:5-11).
Joseph’s youngest son Ephrayim is the one who would later on in history become “a multitude of nations” (Genesis 48:19) and through him, Yahuwceph (Joseph) who is a prophetic “type” of Messiah inherits the “double portion blessing.” Joseph’s coat of “many colors” represents the many flags of the nations and also the skin colors and races of these many “nations, tribes, and tongues” of people (Revelation 7:9).

In the story of the “prodigal son” in Luke 15, Yahuwshuwa related this story as an allegory of “The Ten Lost Tribes of Yisra’el” typified in Ephrayim, and they were the ones who were estranged from the Father at the time. But after Yahuwshuwa died for the sins of Ephrayim and then resurrected, the tables turned.
The older son in this story of the prodigal typified Yahuwdah (Judah) at the time of Messiah’s first coming. But once he rejected the blood atonement of his Messiah, then Yahuwdah (Judah) the older brother was also banished to the nations and scattered like the younger son Ephrayim. And now, Yahuwdah (Judah) is like the younger son because he too has departed from his Father’s house and is no longer obeying the Towrah as he should.
However, in 1948, the older brother Yahuwdah (Judah) began to return back to the land of promise and many of them are beginning to obey the Mosaic Covenant, even though they still reject Yahuwshuwa’s blood covenant. In these last days, Ephrayim has become like the older son who became “the first-born” (Jeremiah 31:9) when he was “born-again” of incorruptible seed (1st Peter 1:23).

Ephrayim is beginning to depart from his pagan ways and he is beginning to obey Towrah. Yahuwdah (Judah) is taking notice and he is being provoked to jealousy! Ephrayim’s name even means “double fruit” because he is the one through which Yahuwceph (Joseph) inherits the “double” which means “both Houses of Yisra’el” (Isaiah 8:14). And this is how the other “ten sons” of Ya’aqob (Jacob) will end up bowing down to Yahuwshuwa as their Mashiyach (typified in Joseph) and his son Ephrayim.
The human body of Mashiyach (Messiah) has ten toes & ten fingers for a very good reason. Ten fingers are consolidated into two hands, and ten toes are consolidated into two feet.
Ultimately the body of Messiah (the bride) will be put back together as one body!
Ultimately the body of Messiah (the bride) will be put back together as one body!
There is always a connection to the number “10” in scripture pertaining to the “Ten Northern Tribes of Yisra’el” because they are the ones who were lost to their true identity, and whom our Mashiyach Yahuwshuwa came to die for. In Mattithyahuw (Matthew) 10:6 he said “I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the House of Yisra’el.” This means that at his first coming, he was here to redeem Ephrayim.
At his second coming, he wants to redeem Yahuwdah (Judah) and make both houses one olive tree again! In Zechariah 8:23, we read this prophecy:
“Thus says YHWH of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the kanaph (skirt) of him that is a Yahuwdiy (Jew) saying, We will go with you: for we heard that Elohiym is with you.”
This is an end-time prophecy describing the Ten Northern Tribes of Yisra’el who were scattered to the Gentile nations and these “ten men” symbolize these nations who will take hold of the “skirt” of “one Jew” and they will follow that one Yahuwdiy (Jew) into Towrah obedience.
Not only is this speaking about the Gentiles following the Jewish Messiah, but it is also referring to the Gentiles coming under the ”scepter of Judah” when they begin to obey Towrah!
Not only is this speaking about the Gentiles following the Jewish Messiah, but it is also referring to the Gentiles coming under the ”scepter of Judah” when they begin to obey Towrah!
The Hebrew word here for “skirt” is “kanaph,” and it literally means “the corner of the garment.” This is speaking about the “tziytzit” or the fringes that Yisra’ elites are commanded to wear on the four corners of their garments (Numbers 15:38, Deuteronomy 22:12). These fringes are meant to remind us to obey the Towrah so that we may gather the elect from the “four corners” of the earth. Ya’aqob (Jacob) prophesied that unto the tribe of Judah “shall the gathering of the people be” (Genesis 49:10).
In 1st Kings 12, we find out that after King Solomon died, the Twelve Tribes of Yisra’el who were once united under the House of Yahuwdah (Judah) under King David, became two separate nations.
In 1st Kings 12, we find out that after King Solomon died, the Twelve Tribes of Yisra’el who were once united under the House of Yahuwdah (Judah) under King David, became two separate nations.
Ten of the tribes went north and were ruled under King Jeroboam and he caused Yisra’el to worship false gods with pagan holidays. He even set up a golden calf at Dan & Mount Ephrayim and this is what ultimately caused these “Ten Northern Tribes of Ephrayim” to become divorced in Jeremiah 3:8.
The“Two Southern Tribes of Yahuwdah” remained in the land of Jerusalem and the surrounding cities of Judah, and they kept the covenant by honoring YaHuWaH’s Sabbaths and the “mowediym” (appointed feasts) and they did not fully abandon the covenant like Ephrayim did.

In all of his parables and illustrations, our Messiah always used the number “10” or the number “2.” Why did he do this? It is because he was that shepherd who “left the ninety nine sheep” to go and find that one sheep who was lost. He is also like that father in the story of the prodigal who longed for his son to return home.
Everything about his ministry centered on his “lost sheep.” Ten of these tribes forgot the commandments and the covenant and they became known as “Gentiles.”
But he came to bring these other “10” Tribes back into covenant under the scepter of the House of Yahuwdah (Judah). But because many of the rulers of Yahuwdah (Judah) at the time had earthly corrupted kings or rabbis who often-times “added” man-made traditions to the Towrah, they discouraged the other “10” Tribes from returning back to the covenant. He wanted all Twelve Tribes to be under “one king” which is him (Ezekiel 37:22)!
This is why Yahuwshuwa used in many of his parables, illustrations with the number “10.” He spoke of “ten lepers, ten cities, ten talents, ten silver coins, ten servants, ten pounds, ten virgins” etc. Even in the Tanakh (Old Testament), the number “10” prophetically points to the nations of the earth.
As I already mentioned earlier, (in Genesis 10) we find out that Nimrod’s kingdom was made up of “ten provinces” in the land of Shinar, but when YaHuWaH confused the languages, everyone scattered to different nations, and those ten provinces became “ten nations” who later on become what are called “ten toes” in the prophecy shown to Daniel.
In Daniel 2:43, we read about a dream that Daniel interpreted for King Nebuchadnezzar where he saw “the image of a man” and that image, had feet made partly of iron and partly of clay. These “ten toes” on Daniel’s image represent once again “the nations of the earth.”

In Revelation 13, we find out that the final end-time “beast” has “ten horns” upon his head and once again this is referring to the nations. And so whenever we see the number “10” in scripture, there is always going to be some hidden meaning or message connected to the nations or the “Ten Northern Tribes” of Yisra’el known as Ephrayim.
The Number “Two” in Prophecy
The human body also has two arms & two legs for a good reason. Two arms and two legs represent Two Houses of Yisra’el & Two Overcoming Congregations revealed in Revelation 11:4.
In other words, The Two Olive Trees & The Two Candlesticks. The Two Candle-sticks represent the Two Overcoming Congregations of Smyrna & Philadelphia.
However, these Two Olive Trees symbolize Ephrayim & Yahuwdah (Judah).
In other words, The Two Olive Trees & The Two Candlesticks. The Two Candle-sticks represent the Two Overcoming Congregations of Smyrna & Philadelphia.
However, these Two Olive Trees symbolize Ephrayim & Yahuwdah (Judah).
Yahuwshuwa often spoke in parables relating to the number “2.” He told a parable of “two sparrows” (Matthew 10:29); “two fishes” (Matthew 14:17).
Yahuwshuwa always sent out “two disciples” (Matthew 11:2); “two men” were in the field (Matthew 24:40); “two women” were grinding at the mill (Matthew 24:41); two greatest commandments (Matthew 22:40); “two sons” working in the vineyard (Matthew 21:28); “two blind men” (Matthew 20:30) “two thieves crucified with him” (Matthew 27:38); “two sons” one a prodigal and the other who remained in his father’s house (Luke 15).
Whenever he related these stories using the number “2,” he was illustrating the “Two Houses” of Yisra’el (Ephrayim & Judah) or in other words “Jews & Gentiles.” The ultimate goal is to gather and consolidate ten nations back into Two Houses of Yisra’el and ultimately Two Houses of Yisra’el into only One House of Yisra’el or One Bride!
In other words seven women or seven congregations from seven continents will end up being narrowed down to only “ten virgins” who remain undefiled by “that woman Jezebel” (Revelation 2:20) and these will end up becoming two brides during the ten days between Trumpets & Atonement (two feasts) and then ultimately they will be gathered into one bride or one stick in the hand of YaHuWaH (Ezekiel 37:16-17).

The Number “Four” in Prophecy
These four body parts (two arms and two legs) represent the four corners of the earth & the four angels who will gather the elect from the four winds of heaven (Matthew 24:31, Revelation 7:1).
There were four sides to the camp in the wilderness of Yisra’el (North, East, West, South) which make up the image of the body of Mashiyach. Ya’aqob (Jacob) had a son named “Yahuwdah” (Judah) who was the 4th son born to him by Leah.
Yahuwdah (Judah) became the “kinsman redeemer” for Tamar (who was a symbol for the Ten Tribes of Yisra’el).
Yahuwdah (Judah) became the “kinsman redeemer” for Tamar (who was a symbol for the Ten Tribes of Yisra’el).
Our Mashiyach came to earth to redeem these “Ten Tribes” in the 4th Millennium and he came through the 4th Tribe of Yahuwdah (Judah). He also died on the 4th day of the week (Wednesday) “in the midst of Passover Week” and his Father’s name has “4” Hebrew Letters Yad, Hey, Waw, Hey which is the “name” we are commanded to call upon for salvation (Joel 2:32, Romans 10:13).
Our Messiah also has come “In his Father’s name” (John 5:43) which has the same letters embedded in it as “YaHuWshuwa.” The fourth letter in the Hebrew Alphabet is called “dalet,” which means “The door,” and our Messiah is “The door of the sheep” (John 10:2-7).
Our Messiah had to come through the Tribe of Yahuwdah who is the 4th Tribe, because Yahuwdah (Judah) is the “kinsman redeemer” for the other “Ten Tribes.” In the name of YaHuWDaH we see the same “4 Letters” to our Father’s name YaHuWaH, but with one added letter in it---the 4th letter called the “dalet!”
Our Messiah is the “door to the sheep” and this door is embedded in the name of the tribe of YaHuWDaH to signify that the Father (Judah) became the “kinsmen redeemer” for Tamar (symbolic of Ten Tribes) even though he promised to send his son “Shelah.” This means that in the name YaHuWDaH we see both “The Father & the Son!”
The “Tree” in Prophecy
Our Messiah is likened unto “The Tree of Life” in the Garden of Eden, and the seven-branch menorah in the Tabernacle is deliberately meant to symbolize him as “The True Vine” (John 15:1).
He is described in prophecy as “The Branch” (Zechariah 3:8 & 6:12), and he also referred to himself as “The Vine” and his followers are his “branches” (John 15:1-5).
On the contrary, Satan symbolizes “The Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil” in the Garden and he also uses the “tree” in a perverse way to symbolize himself as “Ba’al” who is known as “the god of the tree.” The Christ-Mass tree was originally erected in honor of Nimrod & Tammuz (Jeremiah 10:1-5, Ezekiel 8:14-17, Isaiah 4:19). The Christ-Mass tree is a counterfeit to the seven-branch menorah symbolizing our Messiah, “The True Vine.”
The word ”tree” in prophecy always symbolizes people. We see this concept in Psalm 1:1-3 where David wrote: “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.”
In Isaiah 55:12, Isaiah wrote: “....The trees of the field shall clap their hands.” In Mark 8:24, when Yahuwshuwa healed a blind man, he exclaimed “I see men walking around as trees.”
And thus we can see that the two arms of a human body represent the House of Yahuwdah (Judah) for we work with our arms and so the arms symbolize our good works or our obedience to Towrah. Judah is the one who was given the role of the law-giver to the other ten tribes, and so he has to demonstrate good works. The two legs of a human body represent our walk with Messiah.
In Ezekiel 47:22, it states that any stranger or gentile who wants to sojourn with (walk with) any of the tribes of Yisra’el, they would then be counted as one born among them. In the case of all those who are born from above by the blood of Messiah, they are counted as Jews because they are walking with (sojourning with) Yahuwshuwa Messiah who is from the House of Yahuwdah!
So you see, two arms correlate to Smyrna & Judah (who are known for their works) and two legs correlate to Philadelphia & Ephrayim (who are known for their walk). All four of these body parts make up the entire body of Messiah!

The Number “Seven” in Prophecy
In Daniel 9:24-27, the angel showed Daniel “Seventy Weeks” or “seventy” periods of “seven” whereby the restoration of the bride, the temple, the holy place and the earth itself will be accomplished.
There are also “seven covenants” which take us to the “Everlasting Covenant” at the end of the Millennium when the New Heaven & New Earth come down out of heaven in the “8th Millennium.”
These seven covenants are:
There are also “seven covenants” which take us to the “Everlasting Covenant” at the end of the Millennium when the New Heaven & New Earth come down out of heaven in the “8th Millennium.”
These seven covenants are:
1.) The Adamic Covenant,
2.) The Noahide Covenant.
3.) The Abrahamic Covenant.
4.) The Mosaic Covenant.
5.) The Davidic Covenant.
6.) The Messiah’s Renewed Marriage Covenant.
7.) The Everlasting Covenant.
These seven covenants also correlate to the seven colors in the rainbow placed in the sky after the flood in Noah’s day.
The number seven also correlates to the seven continents of the world and seven millennia (7,000 years) for YaHuWaH to fulfill his everlasting covenant with mankind in the earth. This is precisely why the priest in the temple had to sprinkle the blood of the bullock seven times on the mercy seat for all the nations of the earth.
Hence, the number “7” is always connected to the marriage covenant, the wedding day of our Mashiyach and his Spirit. We see “seven spirits” of YaHuWaH mentioned in several places in scripture: Isaiah 11:12; Revelation 1:4, 3:1, 4:5, 5:6.

We also see that there are “seven candlesticks” on the menorah in the temple. There are “seven eyes” seen on the Lamb who sits on the throne in heaven (Zechariah 3:9, 4:10, Revelation 5:6).
There are “seven women” who will be gathered in the last days to only “one man” so that they can be gathered into “one bride” (Isaiah 4:1).
There are “seven feasts” annually which are a “sign” of our marriage covenant with YaHuWaH. There are “seven sabbaths” following the resurrection of Messiah that lead up to the day of Shabuwoth (Pentecost) where we are filled with the “oil” of the Ruwach ha’Qodesh! Every “7th day” is a Sabbath of rest which is a “sign” that we belong to the bridegroom.
There is a “seven-day” wedding for the first bride typified in Leah during the “Ten Days of Awe” and then there is another “7-day” wedding for the second bride typified in Rachel and that is when both brides are made “one” on Yom Kippur as they celebrate the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb” on the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) for another “seven days.” And then finally there are “7,000 years” where the bride “rules & reigns” with her Messiah!

There are also several illustrations in the gospels relating to the number “seven” where the disciples gave “seven loaves of bread” to feed the multitudes (Matthew 15:35-37).
In Matthew 18:22, Yahuwshuwa said to Keefa (Peter) that we must forgive our brother “seventy times seven.” In Matthew 22:25-28 the Scribes & Pharisees attempted to trick Yahuwshuwa with a parable about a woman who became a widow “seven times” and whose wife she should be in the resurrection. This was also a metaphor of the seven women or seven congregations in Isaiah 4 all of whom became widows because they crucified their Messiah.
The Number “One” in Prophecy
In Ephesians 5:23, Colossians 1:18 & 2:19, Yahuwshuwa Mashiyach is seen as the one who is the “head” of the body of his bride. He is also the “one” Tree of Life in Garden of Eden whereby the “Two Olive Trees” of Yisra’el are made “one” again.
The “head” of a human being is just “one” body part but it contains “two eyes” for the Two Tribes of the House of Judah & Benjamin, because Judah has been entrusted with “The oracles of Elohiym” according to Romans 3:2.
In other words, Judah has been entrusted with prophetic insight to “see” through the lens of the Towrah, and he has been given the “The scepter to rule as a lawgiver” (Genesis 49:10). The “two eyes” also represent the Two Houses of Yisra’el who will be given “eyes to see.”

The head of a human being also has “two ears” to hear the voice of the shepherd directly from the throne. Yahuwshuwa said “my sheep hear my voice” (John 10:27). The “two ears” represent those who have received the gift of the Holy Spirit to “hear” what the “Spirit says to the Congregations.”
The “two ears” represent the Two Overcoming Congregations of Smyrna & Philadelphia because they have “ears to hear” what the Spirit of YaHuWaH is saying to the rest of the body! This means that the “Two Witnesses” will become part of the “head” to rule and reign with Messiah in the Millennium.

These Two Witnesses are broken down into four parts: Two Candlesticks & Two Olive Trees, and thus we can see there is a total of “four” body parts (two eyes & two ears) that are in “one head” which is Yahuwshuwa Messiah himself. But there are also “two arms & two legs” that make up the bride or the body of Messiah!
Those who carry this “double portion anointing” have both the Towrah (eyes to see) and they have the Holy Spirit (ears to hear)!
The entire Towrah is summed up in “Ten Commandments,” even though there are a total of 613 commandments within the Five Books of Mosheh (Towrah). The Ten Commandments are like the “Table of Contents” which summarizes these 613 in the Towrah.
Even the number “613” adds up to the number 10, when we add up all of the digits as follows: 6 + 1+ 3 = 10. But then the Ten Command-ments are consolidated into Two Greatest Commandments (Matthew 22:35-41). Yet even these Two Commandments are summed up in One Commandment (John 13:34, Romans 13:8).

Ten Days of Tarrying
After our Messiah resurrected, he remained here on earth for “forty days” teaching his disciples about the Towrah of Mosheh (Acts 1:3, Luke 24:27).
However, as he ascended back to the Father, he told his disciples to go and wait in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) until the Feast of Weeks also called Shabuwoth or Pentecost.
This is when they would receive the Holy Spirit and thus the Towrah would be written in their hearts and minds as a sign of the Renewed Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-33, Hebrews 8:10, 10:16).
This is when they would receive the Holy Spirit and thus the Towrah would be written in their hearts and minds as a sign of the Renewed Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-33, Hebrews 8:10, 10:16).
The Feast of Shabuwoth was to occur on the fiftieth day following Yom Ha’Bikkuwriym or the “First Fruits” wave offering of the High Priest in the temple according to Leviticus 23:15.
By this we know that the disciples “tarried for ten days” travailing in prayer until the day of Shabuwoth or Pentecost for the promise of the Holy Spirit to be given to them.
Twin Goats for Two Brides
We see the same pattern again following the Feast of Trumpets in the fall where there are “ten days of tarrying” for the bride leading up to Yom Kippur.
In 27 A.D., Just before his 30th birthday Yahuwshuwa’s baptism (mikvah) took place on the 1st of Elul in the 6th Hebrew month. At this time he began to fulfill the role of the “twin goats” leading up to Yom Kippur.
His baptism was a fulfillment of the “sacrificial goat” and the legal moment of his death, because baptism is a symbol of death (Romans 6:3-4).
His baptism was a fulfillment of the “sacrificial goat” and the legal moment of his death, because baptism is a symbol of death (Romans 6:3-4).
Immediately following his baptism, he was sent into the wilderness to fast and pray for Yisra’el as the “scapegoat.” Messiah fulfilled the pattern of the twin goats on Yom Kippur and then he also fulfilled the role of the Kohen Gadowl (High Priest) that year when he read Isaiah 61:1-2 in the synagogue (Luke 4:19) and he declared “The acceptable year of YaHuWaH.”
To read more about how Messiah fulfilled the pattern of the twin goats on Yom Kippur, see my other article entitled: “The Twin Goats on Yom Kippur Fulfilled in Yahuwshuwa Messiah.”
Yahuwchanon (John) the Baptist was the Levitical High Priest that year who acted as the one who would “kill the goat” symbolically (Leviticus 16:15). It is for this very reason that he cried out when he saw Yahuwshuwa coming to be baptized, as he declared “Behold, the Lamb of Elohiym who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29-36).
Immediately following his baptism, he was sent to the wilderness by the Holy Spirit as the “scape-goat” or in Hebrew “Azazel.”
The definition of a “scapegoat” is “The innocent party who takes the blame for the guilty party.” During his days of fasting in the wilderness, Yahuwshuwa remained there for “forty days” and he prayed for Yisra’el to repent and come back to Towrah.

When he emerged from the wilderness, he entered the Synagogue as the new High Priest (after the order of Melchizedek), and then he read Isaiah 61:1-2 in the synagogue as he declared that he was the “anointed one”----the Mashiyach and he also declared “The acceptable year of YaHuWaH” (Luke 4:19).
This was Yom Kippur language, as the High Priest was the only one who could declare that Yisra’el was either accepted or not accepted each year on Yom Kippur.
If the sacrifice of the goat was accepted, the red ribbon would miraculously turn white (Isaiah 1:18) and this was a sign that the nation was forgiven that year. But if the red ribbon did not turn white, then their sins remained and they were not accepted. During the final “ten days” of his fast leading up to Yom Kippur, I suspect that this is when he was tempted of the devil and he overcame these temptations on behalf of his future bride who would have to “Suffer tribulation for ten days.” See my other blog: “The Yom Kippur Twin Goats Fulfilled in Messiah.”

Parallels Between the Ministry of Moses’ & Our Messiah
In the third month of the year, (after Yisra’el had left Egypt), Exodus 19-24 tells us of the first covenant, that YaHuWaH made with them. Exodus 24:8 tells us that Moses sprinkled the nation of Yisra’el with the blood of sacrificed
animals, to confirm the covenant.
In Exodus 19:1-8, Yisra’el had taken “wedding vows,” with Yah, as they agreed to “obey” the covenant. Then, Moses ascended to Mount Sinai and remained there for forty days, as he interceded for Yisra’el.
In Exodus 24:12, Mosheh went up to receive “The two tables of testimony,” or the “written marriage covenant” called a “ketuwbah” in Hebrew.
After his forty days in the mount, Moses descended down to present Yisra’el with the written marriage covenant in stone, only to find them committing harlotry with the molten calf. This is when Moses broke the first set of stone tablets, to demonstrate that they had violated and broken the marriage covenant (Exodus 32:19). In Exodus 32:30, Moses made atonement for the sins of the people.
In Exodus 33, YaHuWaH called the people to leave Mount Sinai, and to go instead to Mount Horeb. It was there, that the people put away their idols, and stripped off their ornaments. After this, Moses set up the the Tabernacle.
Although Scripture does not tell us what month this was, by counting the days from when they left Egypt, we know that it was the first day of the 6th month of Elul, when Moses was called up again by YaHuWaH in Exodus 34:4-28.
YaHuWaH commanded Moses two hew out two new stones for a second set of Ten Commandments for Yisra’el. YaHuWaH wrote the same commandments that were written on the first set, and this was a prophetic picture of Messiah’s “Renewed marriage covenant.” On his second ascension to Mount Horeb, he returned on Yom Kippur.
These are the same forty days, when our Messiah fasted in the wilderness leading up to Yom Kippur. Our Messiah was also sent into the wilderness on the 1st of Elul, immediately following this baptism.
This was Yom Kippur typology, because the mountain was “covered” by a cloud. The Hebrew word “cover” (kaphar), is the same root, from the word “kippur” comes from. There was a seven-day wedding ceremony during the last of these forty days while Moses was in the mountain receiving the marriage covenant.
In the future, during the “Ten Days of Awe,” (between The Feast of Trumpets & the Day of Atonement), there will be a “seven-day wedding” for the bride of Messiah, just as there was with Yisra’el in Exodus 19:5-8.
In the same way that Moses ordained his brother Aharown (Aaron) and his sons to make atonement once per year on Yom Kippur for Yisra’el (Exodus 30:10-16), our Messiah restored the role of the High Priest, back to Malkiy-Tzedeq (Melchizedek).
It was after Yahuwshuwa completed his 40-day fast in the wilderness, that he displayed himself as the eternal High Priest (Melchizedek), when he preached “The Acceptable Year of YaHuWaH,” on Yom Kippur in Luke 4:14-20).
Mosheh acted as the “scape-goat,” who was willing to have his name blotted out of the book of life so that the people would live.
Shemoth (Exodus) 32:
32 Yet now, if you will forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray you, out of your book which you have written.
33 And YHWH said unto Mosheh (Moses), Whosoever has sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.
To this very day, the Yahuwdiym (Jewish people) have a saying during the “Ten Days of Awe,” as they declare to one another “May your name not be blotted out of the book of life” or “May your name be written in the book of life.”
This is precisely why our Messiah said to the Congregation at Sardis, that because their works were not found to be perfect, that they were in danger of having their names blotted out:
Hazown (Revelation) 3:
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found your works perfect before Elohiym.
3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore you shall not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you shall not know what hour I will come upon you.
4 You have a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
5 He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Mosheh offered to have his name blotted out instead of the nation of Yisra’el, as he was foreshadowing the role of the “scapegoat,” who was the innocent party willing to take the blame for the guilty.
Nevertheless, the people had to pay for their own sins, because they sinned willfully, after they had already received the sprinkling of the blood at the marriage ceremony.
On that day 3,000 men fell (Exodus 32:28). In Hebrews 10 & Leviticus 4:13-14, we read that atonement is only made for those who sin out of ignorance. But for those who sin willfully, they will have their names blotted out:

Ibriym (Hebrews) 10:
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Mosheh’s Towrah (law) died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer (worse) punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden underfoot the Son of Elohiym, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs unto me, I will recompense, says YHWH. And again, YHWH shall judge his people.
In Revelation 19:2, that when our Messiah returns on the day of “vengeance” he will punish all those who rejected his blood sacrifice and he will also “avenge” the blood of this set-apart ones (his saints).
In Exodus 33:6 the Yisraelites “stripped off their ornaments” of pagan idolatry at Mount Horeb. The name “Sinai” literally means “Babylonian moon god,” but the name “Horeb” literally means “to kill and destroy.”
This is why in Galatians 4:24, the Apostle Sha’uwl (Paul) likened the first covenant on Mount Sinai to “bondage” because the people placed themselves back under bondage with the golden calf after they had already taken marriage vows with the Most High.
This is why in Galatians 4:24, the Apostle Sha’uwl (Paul) likened the first covenant on Mount Sinai to “bondage” because the people placed themselves back under bondage with the golden calf after they had already taken marriage vows with the Most High.
Then at Mount Horeb, they stripped off their idolatry and this is where they chose to “die to the old sinful nature.” Hence, Mount Horeb represents freedom and repentance where they chose to renew their covenant with YaHuWaH again.
In Exodus 33:11, Mosheh communed with YaHuWaH “face-to-face” on behalf of the people of Yisra’el and this is once again “Yom Kippur” language, for to this day the Jewish people nick-named the Day of Atonement “face to face!”
In Exodus 34:10, when Mosheh returned to present a second set of Ten Commandments, instead of the stone tablets being broken, they were deposited into an ark made of incorruptible wood which never decays. And what is this a picture of? It is a picture of the bride receiving the “Towrah” written in her heart and mind as a sign of the “Renewed Covenant” (Jeremiah 31:31-33, Hebrews 8:10, 10:16).
In the same way that these commandments of stone were deposited into an ark made of wood that is “incorruptible,” so the very same commandments were deposited into a brand new nature on the Feast of Shabuwoth (Pentecost) in the 2nd chapter of Acts as 3,000 were saved on that day when they were “born-again of incorruptible seed!” (1st Peter 1:23).

In Exodus 34:28, when Mosheh returned after being in the mountain a second time for yet another “forty days and forty nights” and he received a “new” set of stone tablets as this prefigured the New Covenant in Messiah. Our Messiah also remained here after his resurrection for “forty days” teaching his disciples the Towrah (Law of Moses)!
When Mosheh presented the second set of stone tablets to Yisra’el, and he deposited them into the Ark of the Covenant made of incorruptible wood and this was in the following year fifty days after “First Fruits,” on Pentecost or Shabuwoth.
In Deuteronomy 4:10-12 we read that the people of Yisra’el gathered to “hear” the words of YaHuWaH as he spoke out of the “midst of the fire.”
In Deuteronomy 4:10-12 we read that the people of Yisra’el gathered to “hear” the words of YaHuWaH as he spoke out of the “midst of the fire.”
This was the historical Feast of Shabuwoth or Pentecost (in the 2nd chaper of Acts), when the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples as “tongues of fire.” They all “heard” the voice of YaHuWaH, each man in his own tongue (Acts 2:11). This is when the Towrah was “deposited” into the hearts of those who are born-again with an incorruptible nature!
The first covenant that Mosheh presented to Yisra’el was during the forty days following Pentecost, but the second covenant was presented during the forty days leading up to Yom Kippur.
When our Messiah fasted during those very same “forty days” it was to “reverse the curse” of the broken covenant at Mount Sinai! But he also fasted for the future sins of the House of Yahuwdah (Judah) who would later on reject his blood sacrifice for “forty years” leading up to 70 A.D. when the Romans came and laid siege to Jerusalem.
Like Ezekiel, our Messiah fasted “one day for each year” for the sins of Yisra’el & Judah (Ezekiel 4:6). Both Mosheh and our Messiah Yahuwshuwa interceded for Yisra’el during the “forty days” leading up to Yom Kippur.

Mosheh had come “face-to- face” with the YaHuWaH himself and his face shown so brightly that he had to place a “veil” over his face to cover it (Exodus 34:33-35). Once again this is Yom Kippur language! Similarly, the “veil” in the temple “parted” on Passover the moment that Messiah died on the tree paving the way for the Renewed Covenant.
The second time around, Mosheh returned from Mount Sinai on the 40th day (which was on Yom Kippur), but he did not deposit these commandments into the ark until the following spring.
He deposited them into the ark, on the 50th day after First Fruits when he presented a “Renewed Covenant” to Yisra’el, just as our Messiah presented to Yisra’el a “Renewed Covenant” on the 50th day following his First Fruits resurrection!
Under the Mosaic Covenant, Yisra’el was cursed with the first covenant because of the golden calf. However, they were then redeemed with a Renewed Covenant during Yom Kippur when Mosheh made atonement for them.
In the last days, the House of Yahuwdah (Judah) will be redeemed again on Yom Kippur, when they finally accept the blood covenant of Messiah. And thus, we can see that with the ministry of Mosheh was on Yom Kippur when he “reversed the curse” with the golden calf for Yisra’el.

This was a foreshadowing of our Messiah, when he would later-on fast in the wilderness during those very same or forty days for their forty years of unbelief in the wilderness.
The four Spring Feasts represent Messiah’s first coming, and his redemption for the Lost Sheep of the House of Yisra’el (Ten Northern Tribes of Ephrayim). The three Fall Feasts at his second coming will be bring together “The first and the last” born of Yisra’el as one bride.
And thus, we see that following the three Spring Feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, & First Fruits there were “ten days” where the disciples had to “tarry” to receive the promised Renewed Covenant on Pentecost.
Also, following the Feast of Trumpets, there is another period of “ten days” where the bride typified in Rachel will have to “tarry” and prepare herself to receive the promise of the Renewed Covenant as well.
Both Moses & Messiah communed with the Father for “forty days” and then they both “made atonement” for Yisra’el’s sins on Yom Kippur. Both Moses & Messiah “interceded” for Yisra’el for forty days leading up to Yom Kippur.
Yahuwshuwa remained here after his resurrection for “forty days” as he taught his disciples the Towrah. Fifty days following the “First Fruits” (resurrection day), both Moses & Messiah made a “deposit” of the renewed marriage covenant (Towrah) into a vessel made of that which is “incorruptible.”
What pattern can we observe here? There are “ten days” in the spring between the ascension of Yahuwshuwa back to the Father and the day of Pentecost when the Towrah was written on the bride’s heart.
What pattern can we observe here? There are “ten days” in the spring between the ascension of Yahuwshuwa back to the Father and the day of Pentecost when the Towrah was written on the bride’s heart.
In the fall there are “ten days” following the bride’s ascension to the Father on Yom Teruw’ah leading up to Yom Kippur when the bride will have her heart restored to the “Living Towrah” the Messiah himself!
The number “forty” represents “testing” and “judgment” in scripture, but the number “ten” represents “the gentile nations.” The number “fifty” represents “The Year of Jubilee” which means freedom and redemption for the bride (Leviticus 25:9-24).

And thus, we can see that within seven feasts annually, Yahuwshuwa will gather from the four corners of earth and the four winds of heaven, his elect out of ten nations from seven continents and they will be narrowed down to seven women or seven congregations.
These seven congregations, will then be narrowed down to ten virgins. These will then be divided up into two groups (five wise & five foolish), until finally they will become “two brides,” that end up becoming only one bride on Yom Kippur!
Mattithyahuw (Matthew) 25:32-33 shows us a picture of the nations being divided into “sheep on the right” (wise virgins) and “goats on the left” (foolish virgins).
During these final “Ten Days of Awe,” the foolish virgins will have one last chance to repent and be filled with the “oil” of the Holy Spirit, so that she can be ready to come “face-to- face” with the bridegroom.
Both houses of Yisra’el will finally become “One house, one bride, and one stick” in the hand of YaHuWaH on that “Great Day of Wrath & Vengeance,” (Revelation 19:2), which will land on Yom Kippur, at the 120th Jubilee
A Chronological Timeline of the Fall Feasts of YaHuWaH in the Final Days
1.) The Abomination of Desolation: Will be seen in the 3rd Jewish Temple (Matthew 24:15) and then there will be 42 months where the Anti-Messiah will begin a false ministry, while concurrently, the Two Witnesses will prophesy against him globally for 3 ½ years.
The Two Witnesses in Revelation 11, are not limited to merely two individuals, but they are also two corporate groups called “The Two Candlesticks & The Two Olive trees.” These two groups are seen as Smyrna & Philadelphia as well as Ephrayim & Yahuwdah (Judah).
2.) The Ministry of the Two Witnesses: Will last for 1,260-days until Yom Kippur, and then Messiah will return and make both brides “one stick” in his hand.
There will be 75 more days leading up to Chanukkah to “Rebuild the Tabernacle of David” (Amos 9:11, Acts 15:16). If we add 75 days to 1,260 days, this takes us to the 1,335 days in Daniel 12:11-12 as it says:
“And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waits, and comes to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.”
3.) The Seven-day Wedding of Leah & Jacob: In the same way that Jacob was tricked into marry-ing Leah after seven years of working for Rachel, Messiah will complete a total of 7 years of ministry (3 ½ years during his earthly ministry and the other 3 ½ years through his two witnesses).
Then after his seven years are completed, there will be a 7-day literal marriage (one week), which will commence at the “last trumpet” (1st Corinthians 15:52) on the Feast of Trumpets aka Yom Teruw’ah.
This will be the bride typified in Leah & Philadelphia and she will be changed into incorruption (immortality). This is the bride represented as the “five wise virgins” whose oil lamps are filled when the bride groom comes. To them is provided “an open door” (Revelation 3:7-8). The door is then “shut” and the “five foolish virgins” must then go and “buy oil” during the “Ten Day of Awe” to be ready at the second coming of Messiah.
In a Hebrew Wedding custom, during the first three of those days the bride is given a “three-day notice” that the groom is on the way. She hears the shouts from a “three day’s journey” in the distance and she knows that sometime within those three days, he will be there to catch her away.
This could very well be the same period of 3 ½ days where the Two Witnesses will have their dead bodies lying in the streets and then at the sound of the 7th angel (7th trumpet), they are resurrected (Revelation 11:11-15).
This is why this feast is prophetically called “The day that no man knows.” Not only does the bride not know the precise timing of when the bridegroom will arrive (although she knows the approximate timing), but the enemy is not made privy to this timing so that he cannot come and kidnap the bride away.
Another reason why Yom Teruw’ah is called “The day that no man knows” is because it cannot be determined by a fixed time on the calendar. It can only be determined by the first sighting of the new moon by the “Two Witnesses.”
Also, in a Hebrew Wedding custom, the bridegroom (not wanting to make known the exact timing of his arrival to the enemy), tells the nosey people who inquire about the wedding date “No man knows the day nor the hour---only my father knows” (Matthew 24:36). This is a Hebrew Idiom for The Feast of Trumpets. See the article: Feast of Trumpets: “The Day That No Man Knows!”

4.) Rachel Left Out of the Wedding Until Yom Kippur: Those “five foolish virgins” who are not ready are caught off guard by “The thief in the night” and they shall not escape (1st Thessalonians 5:2-3). This bride will not see Yahuwshuwa as their Messiah until that day when they will “Look upon him whom they pierced” (Zechariah 12:10).
This will take place on Yom Kippur, when the bride removes the veil, and she sees him “face to face.” Messiah said of this group that they would not see him again until they say “Baruch Haba B’Shem YaHuWaH” (Luke 13:35). This phrase in Hebrew is translated: “Blessed is he who comes in the name of YaHuWaH.”
5.) The Thief in the Night: While the bride is enjoying a seven-day honeymoon, with the bridegroom in a set-apart place called “The chamber” or “chuppah” (Psalms 19:5, Joel 2:16).
The children of wrath are caught off guard by “The thief in the night,” and are having bowls of wrath being poured out upon them and they still won’t repent (Daniel 12:10, 1st Thessalonians 5:2, Revelation 16:15). This all happens during the “Ten Days of Awe.” The only ones who are “sealed” during this time are the “elect” from The House of Judah typified in Rachel & Smyrna (Revelation 7:3 & Ezekiel 9:4).
To read more about what is the meaning of “The thief in the night” see my other article on this: “Times, Seasons & the Thief in the Night: When is the Real New Year?”
6.) Ten Days of Awe: There are ten days between the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruw’ah) & the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). During these ten days, the first bride typified in Leah has already gone into the marriage with the bridegroom and now the second bride typified in Rachel will have ten days to “afflict herself” by fasting and praying.
In Leviticus 23:27, we are commanded to “afflict our souls” or else we shall be “cut off” and disinherited from Yisra’el.
The Congregation of Smyrna typified in Rachel will spend these ten days like Esther who anointed herself with oil of myrrh to meet the king.
7.) The Second Coming of Messiah on Yom Kippur: This will be “The Day of Vengeance” when Messiah returns to avenge the blood of the set-apart ones as seen in Revelation 19:2. He is seen coming in the clouds on a white horse with his army.
His wife is also clothed in white linen fine and clean. This commences “The Marriage Supper of the Lamb” (Revelation 19:9), and this is when the bride will go into the Feast of Tabernacles and she will drink the 4th Passover cup of wine with Messiah which is the sealing of the covenant (Matthew 26:29). This is when the final cup of wine is partaken of by the bride and the groom in a Hebrew Wedding.
Hazown (Revelation) 19:
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife has made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
On this same day of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), the High Priest in the temple would mix the blood of the bull (symbolic of Ephrayim & Leah) and the blood of the sacrificial goat (symbolic of Judah & Rachel) and the two bloods are then sprinkled on the mercy seat! The instructions for Yom Kippur are found in Leviticus 16.
This means that both families (Leah & Rachel) who gave birth to Judah & Joseph (Ephrayim) will then become “one family” on this day when the blood of both families are mixed together by the High Priest, Yahuwshuwa! This is the reason why there are always “twin goats” on Yom Kippur (one goat for each house of Yisra’el).

This is the reason why there are always “twin goats” on Yom Kippur (one goat for each house of Yisra’el).
On that day, Messiah will separate the obedient sheep from the disobedient goats (Matthew 25:32). The two nations of Yisra’el (Ephrayim & Yahuwdah) will no longer be “goats” by nature (disobedient), but the remnant are going to be transformed into obedient sheep who “follow the lamb wherever he goes” (Revelation 14:4).
Yahuwshuwa will then take vengeance on her enemies and avenge the blood of the set-apart ones (saints) on Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). This is the day of wrath for the wicked (Proverbs 6:34, Isaiah 34:8, 61:2, Revelation 19:2).
8.) The Seven-day Wedding of Rachel & Jacob: In the same way that Rachel was also married to Jacob after the “seven-day” wedding of her older sister Leah, so this other bride typified in Rachel & Smyrna will have to suffer tribulation for “ten days” until the second coming of Messiah on Yom Kippur. After both families become “one stick” in the hand of YaHuWaH (Ezekiel 37:16-17), then five days later on The Feast of Tabernacles aka Sukkot, there will be one big wedding reception, for both brides will then be only one bride!
9.) The Sabbath Millennium & the Eighth Day: On the final day of “The Feast of Tabernacles” or “Sukkot,” we are commanded to dwell in temporary shelters to remind us that this earth that we currently live in is temporary and it is passing away. At the end of these seven days, the final day is called “Ha’Shannah Rabbah” which means “The Last Great Day.”
Another name for this last day of the Feast of Tabernacles is called “Shemini Atzeret” or “The Eighth Day.” In 2nd Keefa (Peter) 3:8 it says that “One day is as a thousand years with YHWH.”
This means that all during the Millennial Reign of Messiah, it will be just like the “seventh day” Sabbath of rest that we enjoy each week because it will take place in the 7,000th year from creation. Our Messiah will “tabernacle” or “dwell” with us for a thousand years of Sabbath rest.
Our calendar week is meant to be a “mini” creation week. In the beginning, YaHuWaH created everything in six days and on the seventh day he rested. Every seventh day when we observe Shabbat, we are observing a “mini” version of the Sabbath Millennium when we shall “rule and reign” with Messiah.
And then, after the one-thousand years are finished, we will go into the “eighth day” or the “eighth millennium” which parallels to the last day of The Feast of Tabernacles. At the end of the Millennium, this present earth that we know of will pass away. This temporary earth or shelter that we dwell in will be replaced by a “New Heaven & A New Earth” (Revelation 21:1).

At the end of the Millennium on the “Last Great Day” will be “The white throne judgment seat of Messiah” (Revelation 20:11-15).
The righteous will receive rewards as to whether his works were of “wood, hay or stubble” (1st Corinthians 3:12).
Let Us Prepare Ourselves For the Marriage Supper of the Lamb!
The commandment to “Prepare the way of YaHuWaH” was preached by all the prophets of Yisra’el and by Yahuwchanon (John the Baptist).
This commandment is given for “All Yisra’el” and this includes those who thought that they were merely “Gentiles” but now they have discovered their true identity as “Renewed Covenant Yisra’el.”
The Day of Blowing or Yom Teruw’ah
Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:
23 And YHWH spoke unto Mosheh, saying,
24 Speak unto the children of Yisra’el, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall you have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation (rehearsal).
25 You shall do no servile work therein: but you shall offer an offering made by fire unto YHWH.
The Day of Atonement aka Yom Kippur
Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:
26 And YHWH spoke unto Mosheh, saying,
27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation (rehearsal) unto you; and you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto YHWH.
28 And you shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before YHWH your Elohiym.
29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
30 And whatsoever soul it be that does any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
31 You shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening unto evening, shall you celebrate your sabbath.
How Does the Bride Prepare?
The “word” of Elohiym is the “lamp” that lights the bride’s path to find the bridegroom, and the “word” is also the Towrah, called “The book of truth” (Psalms 119:142). Philadelphia was commended for “keeping the word” of his patience.
The oil in her lamp is also “The seven spirits” of YaHuWaH (Isaiah 11:2, Revelation 4:5, 5:6) that illuminates the “seven-branch menorah” in the temple. It is the Ruwach (Spirit) of YaHuWaH that illuminates our understanding of his word.
This means that the bride must have both Spirit & Truth, she must have both Wisdom & Revelation. In other words, she must possess the DOUBLE PORTION ANOINTING!

Tehilliym (Psalms) 119:105 Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Is it possible for the elect to lose their salvation?
Chazown (Revelation) 3:5 He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Beloved, there is a condition to being able to remain in the book of life. That condition is that you must “overcome” the world, the flesh and the devil.
And how do we overcome?
Chazown (Revelation) 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
What is the Word of Our Testimony?
Shemoth (Exodus) 31:18 And he gave unto Mosheh, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of Elohiym.
Beloved, our testimony is the Towrah written in our hearts by the finger of Elohiym! The Renewed Marriage Covenant that Messiah sealed with his own blood is written in the heart of the bride, and that marriage contract is the “written Towrah” called a “ketuwbah.”
According to an Ancient Hebrew Wedding tradition, a bride may not enjoy intimacy with her bridegroom without the written marriage agreement on her at all times---in other words the bride must have the written Towrah in her heart!
Those who are engaged to be married to the Lamb, have both the “testimony” (the Towrah written in their hearts) and the “Spirit” (the oil) in their lamps to light their path to meet the bridegroom. And they must also wash their garments in the blood of the Lamb. In order for a covenant to be valid, there has to be two or three witnesses.
Chazown (Revelation) 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See you do it not: I am your fellowservant, and of your brethren that have the testimony of Yahuwshuwa: worship Elohiym for the testimony of Yahuwshuwa is the spirit of prophecy.
What is interesting is that the word for “testimony” in Hebrew is:
#5715 eduwth: which means “a witness.”
1st Yahuwchanon (John) 5:
5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Yahuwshuwa is the Son of Elohiym?
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Yahuwshuwa Mashiyach (Messiah); not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
The bride has all three: The Spirit, the Water & the Blood!
What Does the Bride Overcome?
1st Yahuwchanon (John) 3:4 Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the Towrah (law): for sin is the transgression of the Towrah (law).
1st Yahuwchanon (John) 3:9 Whosoever is born of Elohiym does not commit sin (lawlessness); for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin (disobey Towrah), because he is born of Elohiym.
The “five wise virgins” have overcome the world and all that is in the world which is “The pride of life, the lust of the eyes and the lust of the flesh” (1st John 2:16). In other words, the bride has overcome sin and lawlessness.
Now is the time to “repent” and rend your hearts (not merely your garments) which is superficial and outward:
Yow’el (Joel) 2:13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto YHWH your Elohiym: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repents him of the evil.
Tehilliym (Psalm) 51:
10 Create in me a clean heart, O Elohiym; and renew a right spirit within me.
16 For you desire not sacrifice; else would I give it: you delight not in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of Elohiym are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O Elohiym, you will not despise.
Bless you Maria and your family
