Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:34 Speak unto the children of Yisrael, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) for seven days unto YHWH.
Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:35 On the first day shall be a holy convocation: you shall do no servile work therein.
*Explanation: The Hebrew word for “convocation” is #4744 in the Hebrew Concordance, and it's the word “miqra,” which literally means “a rehearsal, or a solemn assembly.”
Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:36 Seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire unto YHWH: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and you shall offer an offering made by fire unto YHWH: it is a solemn assembly; and you shall do no servile work therein.
*Explanation: Since there is no Temple standing in Jerusalem at this time, we cannot make offerings by fire. Therefore, our offerings should be in the form of praise, worship, singing, and dancing.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of Elohiym, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto Elohiym, which is your reasonable service.
Revelation 8:3 And another malak (angel) came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all qodeshiym (saints) upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
Revelation 8:4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the qodeshiym (saints), ascended up before Elohiym out of the malak's hand.
Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:37 These are the Feasts of YHWH, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto YHWH, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:
Burnt offering - #5950 olah - a step, or stairs, as in ascending, burnt offering, as in going up in smoke. This means prayers and worship.
Meat offering - #4503 minchah - a bloodless, voluntary gift; a donation, a tribute. This means a donation to the work of the kingdom, in the form of money, or produce, grain, etc.
Sacrifice - #2077 - zebach - a slaughter, or the flesh of an animal. This means an animal sacrifice, which the priests would partake of.
Drink offering - #5262 nesek - a libation, or a drink offering. It comes from the root word nacak, which means "to pour out." We can pour out our hearts to YaHuWaH by offering our worship.
Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:38 Beside the Sabbaths of YHWH, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill offerings, which you give unto YHWH.
*Explanation: The above verse means that in addition to the other Sabbaths or Feasts, and in addition to any other gifts or vows, freewill offerings, etc. The ones we offer during Sukkot is to be to counted as a separate offering specifically for this feast. The offerings made at the other feasts, are not be counted as a carry-over for this feast.
Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto YHWH seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.
*The prophetic significance: The first seven days days of this feast are a microcosm to the 7,000 years from creation, until the 1,000-year reign of Messiah is completed. The "last day" or the "eighth day" is a microcosm of the 8th Millennium, when the New Heaven and the New Earth descend out of heaven.
Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:40 And you shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before YHWH your Elohiym seven days.
*Explanation: These elements of the feast are to remind us of YaHuWaH's creation, and that it comes from him. We are not to do as the heathens do, when they decorate trees for Christmas or color eggs for Easter. We are to be reminded that all creation belongs to him, we should not worship creation. But we are to worship YaHuWaH only.
Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:41 And you shall keep it a Feast unto YHWH seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations: you shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:42 You shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Yisraelites born shall dwell in sukkoth (booths):
Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Yisraelites to dwell in sukkoth (booths), when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am YHWH your Elohiym.
Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:44 And Mosheh declared unto the children of Yisrael the Feasts of YHWH.
The Feast of Tabernacles is a Microcosm of the 7th & 8th Millennium
Chazown (Revelation) 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Chazown (Revelation) 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection: on such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of Elohiym and of Messiah, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Chazown (Revelation) 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison...
Chazown (Revelation) 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
*Explanation: In Matthew 5:17-19, Yahuwshuwa taught us that 100% of the Towrah & Prophets are still in effect, until heaven and earth passes away. Therefore, the ultimate fulfillment of Towrah & Prophets shall not pass away, until the 8th Millennium, when the New Heaven and the New Earth comes down. This will replace the first heaven, and the first earth.
What this means, is that the Towrah & Prophets will be with us for all of eternity, but it will be implemented in a different way. We will no longer need a brick and mortar Temple, and there will no longer be a brick and mortar Jerusalem, because the redeemed bride, will be the living stones that make up the New Jerusalem.
Chazown (Revelation) 21:2 And I Yahuwchanon (John) saw the holy city, New Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), coming down from Elohiym out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Chazown (Revelation) 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the TABERNACLE of Elohiym is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and Elohiym himself shall be with them, and be their Elohiym.
Chazown (Revelation) 21:4 And Elohiym shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Chazown (Revelation) 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
*Explanation: The #8 is prophetically known to mean “new beginnings,” and also “dedication.” For it is on the 8th day from birth, that a male child is circumcised, and the foreskin is removed. Similarly, the eighth Millennium will be a new beginning that will take us into eternity.
Chazown (Revelation) 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Aleph & Taw, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Chazown (Revelation) 21:7 He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his Elohiym, and he shall be my son.
Chazown (Revelation) 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Chazown (Revelation) 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven malakiym (angels) which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come here, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife.
Chazown (Revelation) 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), descending out of heaven from Elohiym,
Chazown (Revelation) 21:11 Having the glory of Elohiym: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
Chazown (Revelation) 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Yisra'el:
Chazown (Revelation) 21:13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
Chazown (Revelation) 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Chazown (Revelation) 21:15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
Chazown (Revelation) 21:16 And the city lies foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
*Explanation: Just to give you some perspective, a furlong in Greek means the size of a stadium.
#4712. stadion stad'-ee-on, or masculine (in plural); stadios from the base of 2476 (as fixed); a stade or certain measure of distance; by implication, a stadium or race-course:--furlong, race.
On average, an NFL Stadium (if built conservatively), will take up almost 14 acres (600,000 square feet or 56,656 square meters).
56,656 square meters equals 35 square miles.
35 x 35 = 1,225 miles x 12,000 = 14 million 700,000 miles!
The length of the city is 14,700,00 miles.
The breadth (width) of the city is also 14,700,00 miles.
The height of the city is also 14,700,000 miles.
This means that the New Jerusalem will be like a giant cube that will cover an area of about 29 million, 400,000 miles.
