www.venmo.com@Maria-MerolaIn recent years, I have begun to see an attitude that is frighteningly “Anti-Jewish,” and “Anti-Temple.” The narrative that I keep hearing among those professing to know our Messiah, is that the Third Temple (when it is finally built) will be an abomination to YaHuWaH!
Prayer Patterned After the Tabernacle:
Some have even gone so far as to refer to “The Tribulation Temple” (Revelation 11:1-2), as “The Temple of Satan!”
I am reminded of what the prophet Isaiah said concerning these end of days:
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
If animal sacrifices in the 3rd Temple are an abomination to Yah, then we should all applaud “The Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition” when he TAKES THEM AWAY!!!
I can see that when this Man of Sin will do away with the daily sacrifices (just as Antiochus Epiphanies IV did in 167 B.C.), and this will be the “STRONG DELUSION TO BELIEVE A LIE” spoken of in 2nd Thessalonians 2:11.
Many Christians will fall down and worship the beast, because they will think he has done something great when he “TAKES AWAY THE DAILY SACRIFICES” and erects “AN IMAGE TO THE BEAST” in it’s place! (Revelation 13:14-15).
A common misconception within Christianity goes something like this:
“In the Old Testament, animal blood took away our sins. But in the New Testament, it’s the blood of Jesus that takes away our sins.”
Beloved, this line of thinking is completely false, because YaHuWaH never changes!
He is the SAME, YESTERDAY, TODAY & FOREVER! (Malachi 3:6 & Hebrews 13:8).
Additionally, our Messiah told us in Matthew 5:17-19 that 100% of Torah & Prophets are still in effect until heaven and earth passes away!
Animal blood NEVER TOOK AWAY SINS, even in the TaNaKh! (See Hebrews 10:4).
All animal sacrifices done in the Temple were a PROPHETIC PICTURE OF MESSIAH!
They always pointed us to “THE LAMB SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE WORLD!” (Revelation 13:8).
Additionally, the DAILY SACRIFICES ARE NOT A SIN OFFERING!
THE MORNING & EVENING SACRIFICES ARE AN ACT OF WORSHIP TO YAHUWAH!
Therefore, when the “Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition” TAKES AWAY THE DAILY SACRIFICES, this will be an act of REBELLION!
In Daniel 12:11, the phrase “TAKEN AWAY” in Hebrew is just one word, which is #5493 (cuwr), which means “TO REBEL, TO REVOLT, TO BE GRIEVOUS!”
From the time that the Man of Sin, “REBELS & TAKES AWAY THE DAILY SACRIFICES” (and sets up the Abomination that causes Desolation), there shall be 1,290 DAYS!
Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
I see many on Social Media declaring that the animal sacrifices themselves (Torah) are “The Abomination of Desolation.”
But if that is the case, why will “The Man of Sin” take them away?
Some people are trying to connect Isaiah 66:3 with the Abomination of Desolation, but they are taking this prophecy out of context!
What is the context of Isaiah 66:1-3?
YaHuWaH begins by telling us that he is interested in “A BROKEN & CONTRITE HEART,” and that animal sacrifices alone (without brokenness and repentance) are an abomination to him:
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 66:2 For all those things has my hand made, and all those things have been, says YHWH: but to this man will I look, even to him that is POOR AND OF A CONTRITE SPIRIT, AND TREMBLES AT MY WORD.
The institution of animal sacrifices (sin offerings) was to impress upon the mind of humans that sin results in death (Romans 6:23).
Each time they had to place their hand upon the head of the lamb they brought, or the bull/ox, or the goat, they were transferring their sin onto the animal (Leviticus 4:4, 15, 24, 29).
Thus, the animals became “sin” in Yah’s eyes, just as our Messiah “Became sin for us, who knew no sin” (2nd Corinthians 5:21).
They were to realize that their death sentence was being transferred to an innocent animal, and learn to be repelled by sin. Instead, the people ritualized the sin-offerings and became hard of heart, looking upon the killing of the innocent animal as a “get out of jail free card.”
They would commit sins with premeditation, and then go to the priest with a sin offering. The poor animals were being slaughtered before Yah without any true contrite sorrow, or repentance of the sins committed by the people.
The comparisons in Isaiah 66:3 told the people that they were using YaHuWaH’s mercy and forgiveness in order to commit sins, when they should have come with A BROKEN & CONTRITE HEART for having unintentionally committed a sin.
When they brought a bull to be sacrificed, the transference of their sin to the bull meant the bull was dying in their place. YaHuWaH was bringing to their remembrance the gravity of the sin offering by comparing it to a heinous act; that they were the true guilty party, and it was no small thing to sacrifice that animal.
YaHuWaH is telling us that offering these animal sacrifices (for sins) without a broken and contrite heart is the same to him as the following scenario:
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 66:3 He that kills an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrifices a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offers an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burns incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.
King David expressed the same sentiments:
Tehilliym (Psalms) 51:16 For you desire not sacrifice; else would I give it: you delight not in burnt offering.
Tehilliym (Psalms) 51:17 The sacrifices of Elohiym are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O Elohiym, you will not despise.
The prophet Isaiah expressed the same sentiments at the beginning of the book:
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 1:11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? Says YHWH: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.
In verse 13-14, he continues:
“Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting…. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.”
But why? Why does YaHuWaH command us in Leviticus 23 to “KEEP HIS FEASTS FOREVER, IN ALL OUR DWELLINGS, UNTO ALL GENERATIONS,” but now, in Isaiah, he is telling us that he hates these appointed feasts?
Here, he gives the reason:
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 1:15 And when you spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you: yea, when you make many prayers, I WILL NOT HEAR; YOUR HANDS ARE FULL OF BLOOD.
He continues, and says the following:
Yeshayahuw (Isaiah) 1:16-18:
“Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of our doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil… Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow…. Come now, and let us reason together, says YHWH: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
The crux of the message is that KEEPING THE FEASTS, AND OFFERING UP ANIMALS WITHOUT A BROKEN & CONTRITE HEART IS MEANINGLESS TO YAH!
He wants us to perform the outward expression of our faith, but he also wants us to have the correct attitude of the heart while doing so!
Anything less than this, is an abomination to him!
