Yom Kippur has been nicknamed “Face-to-Face,” because once per year, the Kohen ha’Gadowl (High Priest) would go behind the “VEIL” and he would come “Face-to-Face” with YaHuWaH.
See Genesis 32:30; Exodus 33:11; Numbers 14:14; Deuteronomy 5:4; Ezekiel 20:35; 1st Corinthians 13:12.
Yom Kippur is also when our Messiah was circumcised as an infant, (exactly 8 days after his Feast of Trumpets birth), which was at 7:00 p.m. on the 1st day of the 7th month of Ethaniym (just before sundown).
At his mikvah (baptism) on the 1st of Elul, our Messiah was displaying himself as the Twin Goats for Yom Kippur to redeem both Houses of Yisra’el!

This means that the 8-day count to his circumcision began on the 2nd day of the 7th month of Ethaniym, which landed on the 9th day of the 7th month @evening (see Leviticus 23:32).
The “FORESKIN OF THE HEART” has been compared to a “VEIL” over the eyes of unconverted Yisra’el (2nd Corinthians 3:15-16).
Yom Kippur is also when our Messiah came out of HIDING from the wilderness, and he REVEALED HIMSELF as THE ANOINTED ONE, THE MESSIAH & HIGH PRIEST, Malkiy-Tzedeq (Melchizedek), when he Preached “The Acceptable Year of YaHuWaH!”
This is also when Ya’aqob (Jacob) wrestled with “A MAN” [The Pre-incarnate Messiah] all night long, and by morning he said “I have seen Elohiym Face-to-Face, and my life is preserved!”
This was also when Yahuwseph (Joseph) removed his disguise, and REVEALED HIMSELF to his brothers, as they wept and repented over what they did to him!
This is also when the Kingdom of Yahuwdah (Judah) will finally see their Messiah “Face-to-Face” at the Mount of Olives, and the “VEIL” will be REMOVED from their eyes and hearts! (See Zechariah 12:10).
This is when “THEY SHALL LOOK UPON YHWH [ALEPH & TAW] WHOM THEY HAVE PIERCED, AND THEY SHALL MOURN FOR HIM AS ONE MOURNS FOR HIS ONLY SON!”
Chazown (Revelation) 1:7 Behold, he comes with clouds; and EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM, and THEY ALSO WHICH PIERCED HIM: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Awmane.
Chazown (Revelation) 1:8 I AM Aleph & Taw, THE BEGINNING AND THE ENDING, says YHWH, WHICH IS, AND WHICH WAS, AND WHICH IS TO COME, EL SHADDAY (THE ALMIGHTY).
In Romans 6:5, we are shown that immersion (baptism) is symbolic of “death to the old man,” therefore, when he was immersed by his cousin Yahuwchanon (John), he was displaying himself as the “SACRIFICIAL GOAT” who would be killed 3.5 years later on Passover.
Immediately after displaying himself as the “SACRIFICIAL GOAT,” he was “SENT” into the wilderness as the “SCAPEGOAT.”

The definition of the word “scapegoat” (Azazel) means “goat of departure.” But it also means “The innocent party who takes the place of the guilty party.”
This is why our Messiah was immersed and then he FASTED for 40-days leading up to Yom Kippur!
When he emerged from his FAST, he read the Isaiah 61 scroll on Yom Kippur in the Synagogue, as he “PREACHED THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR” of YaHuWaH, thus, displaying himself as the HIGH PRIEST (Melchizedek).
We have seen the pattern of the Twin Goats throughout Scripture.
Abel was “SLAIN” (like the sacrificial goat), and Cain was “SENT AWAY” (like the scapegoat).
Cain was not innocent, but Abel died in his place.
Adam & Eve were like the Twin Goats, but atonement was made for both of them, by YaHuWaH Yahuwshuwa, their High Priest (Melchizedek).
Adam & Eve were “DIED SPIRITUALLY,” which is means they were symbolically “SLAIN”, just like the sacrificial goat, when they ate of the forbidden fruit.

After atonement was made for them (and their sins were covered by the blood of the lamb), they were “SENT AWAY” out of the garden.
Abraham had to “SEND AWAY” Hagar & Ishmael, as the scapegoat, while his Promised Son (Isaac) was symbolically “SLAIN” to inherit the birth-right.
Esau was symbolically “SLAIN,” when he gave away his birth-right (symbolic of death to the first-born) and Jacob was “SENT AWAY” (like the scapegoat).
Rachel was “SLAIN” (like the sacrificial goat), because she was hiding idols.
But her first-born son (Joseph) was “SENT AWAY” to Egypt.
Joseph’s brothers symbolically “SLEW” their brother, Joseph, when they smeared the blood of a goat on his coat of many colors.
Later-on, Joseph’s brothers were “SENT” to Egypt to buy grain.
In the book of Esther, Vashti was a disobedient bride, and she was “SENT AWAY” (divorced), and in this way, she was fulfilling the role of the “SCAPEGOAT.”
That’s when Queen Esther took her place as the obedient bride!
When the wicked Haman devised a plot to have all the Yahuwdiym (Jews) in Persia annihilated, Esther was willing to lay down her life to save her people (she was a type of Messiah).
Esther FASTED & AFFLCITED HER SOUL, FOR THREE DAYS!
Thus, Queen Esther displayed herself as the “SACRIFICIAL GOAT,” because she was willing to be “SLAIN.”
The first-born of the Egyptians were “SLAIN,” and the first-born son of YaHuWaH (Yisra’el) was “LET GO” or “SENT AWAY” out of Egypt (like the scapegoat).
Bar Abba (Barabbas) whose name means “Son of the Father,” (symbolic of Yisra’el) was “LET GO” or “SENT AWAY” (like the scapegoat).
But our Messiah was “SENT” to his execution at the “The Place of the Skull,” and also “SLAIN” in place of Bar Abba, thus fulfilling both goats at the same time!
In the story of the Prodigal Son, the younger son was “SENT AWAY” (like the scapegoat). But when he humbled himself and repented (returned to the Father), the fatted calf (red heifer) was “SLAIN” for him.
The older brother in the story of the Prodigal Son, forfeited his blessing, because he refused to partake of the fatted calf to celebrate his brother’s return.
Thus, the older brother symbolizes the Kingdom of Yahuwdah (Judah) who “SLEW” their own Messiah, as they rejected HIM as “THE FATTED CALF” (THE RED HEIFER), as it is HE that sanctifies the altar for Yom Kippur!
Yahuwchanon (John) 1:18 No man has seen Elohiym at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.
Yahuwchanon (John) 6:46 Not that any man has seen the Father, save he which is of Elohiym, he has seen the Father.
1st Yahuwchanon (John) 4:12 No man has seen Elohiym at any time. If we love one another, Elohiym dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us.
Bereshiyth (Genesis) 32:30 And Ya’aqob (Jacob) called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen Elohiym Face-to-Face, and my life is preserved.
Shemoth (Exodus) 33:11
And YHWH spoke unto Mosheh (Moses) Face-to-Face, as a man speaks unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Yahuwshuwa (Joshua), the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
Bamidbar (Numbers) 14:14
And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that you YHWH are among this people, that you YHWH are seen Face-to-Face, and that your cloud stands over them, and that you go before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.
Debariym (Deuteronomy) 5:4
YHWH talked with you Face-to-Face, in the mount out of the midst of the fire,

And there arose not a prophet since in Yisra’el like unto Mosheh (Moses), whom YHWH knew Face-to-Face.

And when Gideon perceived that he was malak YHWH, Gideon said, Alas, O YHWH Elohiym! for because I have seen Malak YHWH Face-to-Face.
Yechezqel (Ezekiel) 20:35
And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you Face-to-Face.
