What is the Roman Catholic Mass?

The Dictionary definition for the word “mass” tells us what the word actually means in Roman Catholicism:

Mass: noun The celebration of the Eucharist. Compare High Mass, Low Mass   ( sometimes lowercase) a musical setting of certain parts of this service, as the Kyrie eleison, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, Benedictus, and Agnus Dei.

Origin: before 900; Middle English masse, Old English mæsse; Vulgar Latin *messa, Late Latin missa, formally feminine of Latin missus, past participle of mittere to send, dismiss; perhaps extracted from a phrase in the service with missa est and a feminine subject.

There you have it! The Dictionary shows the definition of the Catholic Mass as a celebration of the Eucharist. But what exactly is the Eucharist?

As you can see by the illustration to the left, the Roman Catholic Eucharist wafer is a pagan idol! The Egyptian pagan priests placed these initials “I H S” on a round disc-shaped wafer for the pagan trinity of Isis, Horus & Set.

The round wafer was to commemorate the sun-god and they ate it each year on December 25th believing that the sun-god was being reincarnated in them as they ate this wafer-god.

They re-enacted the death of Nimrod on a “tree” on March 25th (Easter) and believed he would be reincarnated on December 25th. This re-enactment was called a “mass” from where we derive the term “massacre.”

Today, these same initials of I H S appear on the Catholic Eucharist Wafer. The Catholic Catechism teaches that the priest has the power to command “Christ” to come down from his throne and he has the authority to crucify him over and over again at each Catholic Mass. The Catechism states the following concerning Jesus Christ:\

“At each mass, he performs the function of the victim anew...” See my other article entitled “Should You Be Merry About Christ-Mass?”

Pictured here to the right is a blasphemous idol called a “Crucifix” which keeps our Messiah perpetually dead on the cross!

This crucifix pictures the pagan trinity of supposedly “Mary Queen of Heaven” (recycled from Semiramis, the wife of Nimrod); And on the left side a picture of the Heavenly Father who they claim is the husband of Miryam (Mary) and this supposedly makes up “The Holy Family” or the pagan Trinity of Isis, Horus & Set.

Joseph is said to be the earthly representation of the Heavenly Father, but this Catholic Trinity secretly disguises a false pagan Trinity!

The Catholic Trinity secretly disguises a different Trinity than what most Christians believe in.

The Pope as “The Holy Father,” Jesus as the pagan sun-god (a reincarnation of Tammuz), and Mary as the Holy Spirit. Hence, Isis (Mary), Horus (Jesus), Set (Pope/Father).

Pictured to the left is the original “Trinity” of the Father (Nimrod), the Mother (Semiramis), and the Son (Tammuz). The Roman Emperor Constantine borrowed this pagan myth and assimilated it to our Messiah. He renamed Nimrod “The Holy Father” (every Pope is supposedly a reincarnation of Nimrod the sun-god). The title “Pope” in Latin is Pappas meaning “Father” (Pater in Greek).

Constantine also renamed Semiramis “Mary” or the Holy Spirit and he renamed Tammuz “H’Zeus” (pronounced Hay-zooz or Jesus). Our Messiah Yahuwshuwa (who many call Jesus) does not live inside of a round wafer, nor does he dwell in a golden sun-burst,
called “The Monstrance.”

In Ezekiel the 8th Chapter, the prophet was given a warning of those who were worshiping the pagan sun-god in the Temple of YaHuWaH. What he was shown is no different than what takes place in Roman Catholic Churches around the world to this day.

Ezekiel 8:

15 Then said he unto me, Have you seen this, O son of man? Turn you yet again, and you shall see greater abominations than these.

16 And he brought me into the inner court of YHWH's house, and, behold, at the door of the Temple of YHWH, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the Temple of YHWH, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.

The Monstrance pictured below is a golden sun-burst! This is pagan sun-god worship disguised as worshiping the Messiah of Israel. The Monstrance is used to store the Eucharist wafer. Roman Catholicism inaccurately refers to this symbol of Baal worship as “The Ark of the Covenant.”

Inside of this “Monstrance” is a glass window with the pagan sun-god wafer inside where the Vatican claims that it contains “J’Zeus” (Jesus). The Apostle Sha’ul (Paul) explained to us that our Creator cannot live in objects made with human hands!

Acts 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwells not temples made with hands; as says the prophet.

Acts 17:24 Elohiym that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Master of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands.

Even the gilded clip that holds the wafer is called “A lunette” because the Latin word for moon is luna, and it is shaped like a crescent moon like in the religion of Islam! Pictured is the flag of Islam which shows us that Roman Catholicism is another stream of Mystery Babylon Religion right along with Islam.

In the Ancient Mystery Religion of Semiramis & Nimrod, she called herself “The goddess of the moon” and Nimrod is called “The god of the sun” as well as “The god of the tree.” As you can see the flag of Islam pictures the symbolism for the Mystery Religion of Babylon featuring the moon and “The falling star” called Lucifer or the pagan sun-god.

Pictured here is a book that I highly recommend entitled Understanding Roman Catholicism by Rick Jones. In this book you will be able to compare what is written in the scriptures to the Catholic Catechism and it shows us that the Catholic Catechism is indeed the religion of Jezebel that our Messiah warned us about in Revelation 2:20-23:

“....Notwithstanding I have a few things against you, because you suffer (allow) that woman Yeze’Baal (Jezebel), which calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idolsAnd I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searches the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Transubstantiation

During the mass, priests allegedly have the power to supernaturally turn the bread and wine into the actual and literal body and blood of Yahuwshuwa ha’Mashiyach (Jesus Christ):

“The Council of Trent summarizes the Catholic faith by declaring: “Because Christ our Redeemer said that it was truly his body that he was offering under the species of bread, it has always been the conviction of the Church of God, and this holy Council now declares again, that by the consecration of the bread and wine there takes place a change of the whole substance of the bread into the substance of the body of Christ our Lord and of the whole substance of the wine into the substance of his blood. This change the holy Catholic Church has fittingly and properly called transubstantiation.” Pg. 347, #1376.

This Catechism quote reveals that the Catholic Church still adheres to this doctrine which was defined at the Council of Trent:

“At the heart of the Eucharistic celebration are the bread and wine that, by the words of Christ and the invocation of the Holy Spirit, become Christ’s Body and Blood.” Pg. 336 # 1333

The Catechism even specifies when Messiah (Christ) comes into the Eucharist and how long He stays:

“The Eucharistic presence of Christ begins at the moment of the consecration and endures as long as the Eucharistic species subsist. Christ is present whole and entire in each of the species and whole and entire in each of their parts, in such a way that the breaking of the bread does not divide Christ.” Pg. 347 #1377

Since Catholicism is teaching members to partake in literal cannibalism, this doctrine requires serious examination. To begin with, we must determine this doctrine’s origin. Is it from Elohiym, or is it a tradition of men? Catholicism insists it is scriptural, citing the words of Yahuwshuwa  in the 6th chapter of John:

Yahuwchanon (John) 6:53-54 “Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Though this one verse does appear to teach cannibalism, if you read the entire passage in context, the meaning becomes clear. Right before making that statement, Yahuwshuwa said:

Yahuwchanon (John) 6:33-35 “... For the bread of Elohiym is he which comes down from heaven, and gives life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Yahuwshuwa said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst.”

This teaching is consistent with the rest of Scripture. Eternal life comes through believing in Yahuwshuwa ha’Mashiyach, not eating His body. The Lord goes on to further clarify:

Yahuwchanon (John) 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that everyone which seeth the Son, and believes on him, may have everlasting life...

Again, Yahuwshuwa points out that eternal life comes through believing in Him. When the Messiah’s disciples murmured at His words, Yahuwshuwa explained:

Yahuwchanon (John) 6:63 It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Yahuwshuwa was talking spiritually, not physically. He was explaining that all life comes through faith in Him, not eating His body. Nowhere else in the Bible does Elohiym endorse cannibalism. In fact, Elohiym forbids the practice:

Bereshiyth (Genesis) 9:4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall you not eat.

Wayyikra (Leviticus) 17:12 “... No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourns among you eat blood.”

YaHuWaH Elohiym would never command His children to do something He had already forbidden.

The Biblical Purpose

Shaul’s instructions in 1st Corinthians 11 shed even more light on this matter:

1st Corinthians 11:23-24 For I have received of the Master that which also I delivered unto you, That the Master Yahuwshuwa the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me

When Yahuwshuwa said, “Take, eat: this is my body,” He was not suggesting that they reach out and begin eating His literal body. To even suggest such is ridiculous. He was speaking spiritually about what He was about to accomplish on the cross.

Notice how that verse ends: “...this do in remembrance of me.” Observing the Master’s Supper is a remembrance of Messiaht’s work at Calvary, not a reenactment. The same is true of Messiah’s blood:

1st Corinthians 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do you, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.

Yahuwshuwa Himself taught the same lesson to his disciples at the Last Supper:

Luke 22:19 And he [Yahuwshuwa] took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

The Cup Full of Abominations & Filthiness

Revelation 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication.

Since Transubstantiation is another unscriptural Catholic tradition of men, several more intriguing questions await an answer:

Why does the Catholic Church deliberately take one verse of Scripture out of context and build a doctrine the Scriptures obviously does not teach? Why would the Catholic Church rather have you eating Elohiym than placing your faith in Him? Most importantly, can you knowingly partake in this practice now that you know the truth?

Ya’aqob (James) 4:17 Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.

Eucharist: Preserves from Sin

Does partaking of the Eucharist have power to cleanse Catholics from past sins and preserve them from future sins?

“For this reason the Eucharist cannot unite us to Christ without at the same time cleansing us from past sins and preserving us from future sins:” Pg. 351, #1393

“By the same charity that it enkindles in us, the Eucharist preserves us from future mortal sins.” Pg. 352, #1395

Once again, Elohiym’s Word and Catholic tradition couldn’t be farther apart. Regarding cleansing from past sins, the Bible declares that all sins are washed away through the blood of Yahuwshuwa Messiah:

1st Yahuwchanon (John) 1:7 “...the blood of Yahuwshuwa Mashiyach his Son cleanses us from all sin.”

Revelation 1:5 And from Yahuwchanon Mashiyach, who is the faithful witness...Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood

The Catechism strips away from Mashiyach the credit He alone deserves for cleansing people from their sins, and credits instead a wafer with accomplishing that task. Why is Yahuwshuwa demoted again?

1st Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Master Yahuwshuwa, and by the Spirit of our Elohiym.

Preserving from future sins

There is no scriptural evidence that eating a piece of bread will preserve anyone from future sins. This doctrine’s only practical function is to keep members returning to the Catholic Church to receive the Eucharist, in hopes that it will help preserve them from sin.

Aside from holding people in bondage to the church, there is little else such a practice can accomplish.

Though Elohiym’s Word does not endorse this practice, it does suggest a way you can protect yourself from sin:

Tehillim (Psalm) 119:11 Your word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against you

Tehillim (Psalm) 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to your word

To preserve yourself from sin, Elohiym suggests that you read, memorize and obey the Scriptures. Curiously, the Catholic Church disagrees. It seems that the Catholic leadership would rather have you looking to the church for help than to Elohiym’s Word.

You must decide why:

Tehillim (Psalm) 121:7 YHWH shall preserve you from all evil...

Tehillim (Psalm) 32:7 You art my hiding place; You shalt preserve me from trouble; You shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

2nd Timothy 4:18 And YHWH shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Awmane.

Conclusion

To cleanse you from past sins and protect you from future sins, Catholicism demands that you look to a piece of bread.

It is imperative that you understand that this tradition of men directly contradicts Elohiym’s Word. To obey this Catholic doctrine, you must reject Holy Scriptures.

Do you really want to do this?

Yahuwdah (Jude) 1:24-25 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise Elohiym our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Awmane.

Eucharist: Helps the Dead

Partaking of the Eucharist purportedly gives Catholics who are still alive an opportunity to help the dead:

“The Eucharistic sacrifice is also offered for the faithful departed who ‘have died in Christ but are not yet wholly purified, so that they may be able to enter into the light and peace of Christ.” Pg. 345, #1371

“In the Eucharist, the Church expresses her efficacious communion with the departed...” Pg. 420 #1689

This heart-tugging doctrine indoctrinates Roman Catholics with the belief that regularly receiving the Eucharist will help their departed loved ones reach heaven faster.

If this doctrine is of Elohiym, then you should obey it. But if it’s a tradition devised by men to keep people in bondage to a church, then it is a cruel and heartless method of controlling people. Let’s see what Elohiym says about it.

Never mentioned

You can search the Scriptures from beginning to end, but you will not find the Eucharist helping a single dead person. And not one Bible character ever received the Eucharist on behalf of a departed loved one.

As you may suspect, this Catholic tradition is not only absent from Elohiym’s Word, it directly violates it as well. The Scriptures teaches that we will each give account for our own life:

Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to Elohiym.

Yahuwshuwa Messiah did all the work

People enter heaven solely because of the good work Yahuwshuwa ha’Mashiyach did on the cross. Salvation is a gift from Elohiym, not an item earned by our righteousness or the righteousness of friends and loved ones.

Death, then judgment

The Scriptures declares that after death, everyone faces Elohiym for judgment. There are no more chances:

Ibriym (Hebrews) 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

Those who do not put their faith in Mashiyach (Messiah) while they are alive are already condemned to hell:

Yahuwchanon (John) 3:18 He that believes on him [Yahuwshuwa] is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of Elohiym.

The wrath of Elohiym abides on those who die without Elohiym:

Yahuwchanon (John) 3:36 He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of Elohiym abides on him.

The Scriptures say nothing about Elohiym’s wrath being pacified because someone received the Eucharist on behalf of departed loved ones. The only way to avoid the condemnation of Elohiym is by placing your faith in Yahuwshuwa ha’Mashiyach while you are alive. Yahuwshuwa Messiah  declared the following words:

Yahuwchanon (John) 3:36 “... He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

Conclusion

Once again, you are left with several questions which must be answered:

Why is this tradition of the Catholic Church so diametrically opposed to Elohiym’s Holy Word? Why does the Catholic Church want members performing rituals for the dead, when Elohiym’s Word says such practices are useless?

Is this but another method of keeping people in bondage to the Catholic Church? Most importantly, you need to understand that to continue practicing this man-made tradition, you must reject the very words of Yahuwshuwa ha’Mashiyach. Are you sure you want to do this?

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Mashiyach (Messiah).
